1 Chapter 1: The Mysterious Encounter

It was a warm summer day, and Akira was taking a walk in the forest near his house. He loved exploring the woods and finding new plants and animals he had never seen before. However today's adventure was different. As he wandered deeper into the forest, he felt an unusual presence around him. It was as if someone or something was watching him. Because of this strange feeling Akira decided to go back.

Suddenly, a gust of wind blew past him, causing the trees to rustle and the leaves to swirl. Akira turned around and saw a small figure in a black rope standing in front him. Akira realized that the unease he was feeling was because of this person. The person removed the hood of it's robe and what Akira saw made his heart skip a beat.

The person had a humanoid body but with a head of a fox. It's fur was a vibrant orange, and its eyes glowed with a eerie light.

"Who... no, what are you?" said Akira while taking a step back.

The person giggled as if it was expecting the same reaction from Akira.

"Greetings, human. My name is Yori."

"What is it that you want from me, Yori?"

"Oh, isn't it a bit rude to not introduce yourself when the other party had already done so."

"I am Akira. Now, tell me what you want?" asked Akira while reaching for thee small knife he had in his side pocket.

"You don't have to worry. I am not here to harm you. As you can see, I am not a human. I am what you humans call a Yokai."

"Then why is a Yokai like you is showing itself in front of a human like me?"

The Yokai named Yori sighed.

"I have a proposal for you, human."

"Proposal?"

"Yes, I have been seeing you coming to this forest for the last couple of years. I don't know why but unlike other humans, you have a strong spiritual energy within you and that's also what is allowing you to see my true form. If it were any other human, they would only see a dark mist."

"Your point?"

"What i wanted to say is, please help us, human," said Yori while bowing to Akira.

"Wait. What do you mean by helping?"

"The world where we, Yokais, live is a different world. Just like the world of you humans, ours also has different towns and villages with different kinds of Yokais living there. There are also a few human settlements established by the humans who had previously wondered to our world for various reasons. Some prefer harmony whereas some want chaos. The priest of my village had recieved an Oracle that a evil Yokai will soon attack the village and only a human from the human world will be able to save us from the upcoming crisis."

"And that human is me?"

"Yes, given the spiritual power you possess there's no doubt that you are the one our prist has spoken of. And the faint description given by our priest matches your appearence as well."

"One last question, given that you are a Yokai and I am a human, couldn't you have just kidnapped me to your world first?"

"That's no possible. Unless the soul itself desires, no human can enter our world. Of course you will also require a guide, which is why I am here."

"Fine, I will go with you," said Akira with a sigh.

"You don't have any other questions? Also once you enter our world, you won't be able to return your home world. Think carefully, human. The slightest hesitation in your heart will prevent you from entering our world and when failed, there's a high chance that the spiritual you have may cause a rebound and it might result in your death," said Yori hastily.

"I am ready and I would prefer if you call me by my name."

Yori smiled, revealing its sharp teeth.

"Very well then, Akira. Hold on tight, and let's go!"

With that, Yori transformed into a ball of light and enveloped Akira in a warm glow. The next thing he knew, he was whisked away to a magical world full of Yokai and other supernatural creatures.

While passing through barrier, Yori noticed a faint smile on Akira's face. He was excited and nervous at the same time, wondering what kind of adventures lay ahead in this mysterious realm.
