29 Chapter 29: Head of steel.

"Commander!!"

The ironclad soldiers shouted in dismay, as blood rippled from their leader. A sliced hand, flew from their space, as both the golden hair boy and the old cherub, backed away.

One was holding his right arm, feeling the immense pain as it was bleeding out his red blood.

"Aiden!" Akia shouted, running to his side. Watching in horror at his right arm, where his hand was no more. Watching him in pain, she quickly ripped her clothes, bandaging on his arm, trying to lessen the bleeding as much as possible.

The old cherub threw away the neck protection, gripping his neck trying to hold the bleeding. "so you also had…some…tricks of your own..?" he asked, his mouth spewing out red blood as he coughed from his nipped throat.

"Father, don't speak!" his daughter said. "you will only make it worse…"

Her hands started to glow white, as the six leftover soldiers positioned themselves to protect their commander.

All the leftover humans couldn't care less, pointing their guns at the so-called cherubs. Waiting for their captain to give her orders.

And she did so, pointing her hand at them. She had already watched a quarter of her men die in this battle and all they could kill were two of their men.

"take aim!" she ordered, pointing her sword at her enemies.

Aiden gritted his teeth, gripping his right arm. "enough!" he shouted. His raging gaze, looking back at his own kind.

"What?" the captain questioned.

Aiden was fuming, not because of his bleeding arm, not because of the excruciating pain he was feeling. He was angry about what had become. Watching many people lying dead on the ground. Seeing people die one by one as she carried on her attack.

"if you carry this any longer, I will pummel you to the ground myself." He said, his voice seething with rage. With his boiling wrath, fear inducement activated itself even without a single bit of 'force'. Spreading wide around everyone except Akia.

From the cherub guards to the men and women staying on their picket, felt it, felt the haunting aura thrust upon them. Like a predator watching them from above. Their hands which were holding their guns fell down one by one, with their knees giving out in fear.

Even the titled ones, including the captain herself, couldn't help but feel her foot shaking from the sheer amount of force and aura he was gaining on them.

'Dammit..' she complained.

Akia could loosely feel what her junior was doing and had already seen this situation before, but something about it now was different. Somehow, she felt like the skill had leveled up. And leveled up it did.

[Congratulation! Fear inducement has reached lvl 2.

You have gained 5 DP points.]

Aiden turned to his front, looking at the guards who were still shaking, it wasn't clear but his sharp eyes didn't miss the trembling of their spears. It's tip, not knowing where to point.

"tha…that….." the lady cherub mumbled. Affected by his raging aura.

"enough…" said the old cherub to his daughter.

"bu..but, father. It's not properly heal…."

"I say it's enough!" he ordered. And with a jerk, the daughter let it be. Staying silent from his father's anger.

He stood up, touching his neck, feeling the bleeding stop. Even though the wound wasn't gone, he could properly talk and that was all he needed.

"young lad..." he said, walking beyond his guards.

Aiden's rage calmed down, his eyes still warry of the old man. Yes, the silver-haired lady could be right. As attacking them at the moment of weakness could have won them this bloodied fight but something told him not to, as it could only turn worse.

"I am impressed." Said the old cherub. His pace, not even phased from Aiden's skill. "you have potential boy. How great it would have been, if you were an angel, but let's not talk about the impossible….What was your name? oh right….Aiden. Ando Aiden. We will leave this area. As you have won against me. Their leader, and such we lost.

I don't know how a human such as you gained so much 'force' and gained such aura. But in the future. There will be more monsters, more chaos, more war. So live, live until we clash our blade once more!" he bellowed.

The old cherub nodded to his daughter and like a command, her hands started lighting up, as a circle of unknown symbols started appearing around them.

"and you." The old cherub said. His gaze now on the white-haired girl. "you might not know what you are now but when you do. Heaven welcomes you with open arms." He said. His gaze back at Aiden.

"farewell…. Ando Aiden."

With those final words, they all started to phase, slowly turning invisible. And within seconds…. They were gone.

Aiden finally sighed in relief. But the pain in his hand was still there. But that wasn't the problem he needed to face. As a revolver just snaked his head.

"any final words?" asked the captain. Her finger, ready to pull the trigger any time.

Aiden couldn't help but stare at her cold and calculative eyes. He could feel her anger. Her finger, desperate to pull the trigger. But he could also see the hesitation and that was all he needed.

He looked at the gun, again gazing back at her gray eyes. "pull it." He said.

"What?" she questioned, not seeing an ounce of fear in the boy's eyes. "do you think I am joking? A quarter of my men died to save you and your little girlfriend. And what do you do? You let them go. Those long-eared bastards, who just treated you like monkeys." She said, her voice, writhing with rage.

"then do it…." He replied.

{you are underestimating her…}

'what?'

Bang!!!

"No!!!" Akia cried. Being pulled from the titled ones.

Aiden had never seen or heard about guns before this fight and never experienced having a gun pointed at him. He had thought, the slight hesitation would salivate him out of this situation. But his character judgment was very far off than he ever thought.

The empty husk of the bullet cover fell down on the grass as Akia watched in horror. Aiden felt the pain in his head. Thinking he was surely dead, his palm pressed up on his head.

'what?' he questioned, looking at his palm. 'no blood?'

"impossible…." The captain said, his foot pacing back in disbelief. "y..you…how are you…..?"

Not just her, Akia, and all the remaining people watched the golden-haired boy in shock. Who wouldn't be, the revolver was just on his head, and they saw their leader, pull the trigger. But there he was, still alive.

{Congratulations, you now reached one percent of my power.} said the demon in his head.

"I am bulletproof?" he asked.

"Aiden!" Akia screamed, forcing her hands away from the shocked soldiers.

She hugged him right away. Tears on her eyes, falling down like there was no tomorrow. "Aiden Aiden Aiden…thank god." She prayed. Hugging him tightly.

The cold captain gradually backed down. Finally realizing why she lost the title to the young boy before her. 'he is really the one.' She thought. But her steps stop, feeling the cold metal on her head.

"he survived, but will you?" said a man from behind.
