1 Abandonment

"My life sucks!"

A person exclaimed in a dark alleyway while laying down on the rough and jagged ground that was infested with rats and garbage cans, and many other disgusting things there its to be.

The person had a very small build and was skinny, you could see his bones from how skinny he was, he looked as if he didn't eat for years. he had dirty black hair and his eyes looked lifeless.

The only thing that was covering his body was a thin piece of dirty cloth he wore as 'clothes' to cover his body.

He was spread out on the ground as if he was making a snow angel on the ground, his breathing was shallow but he kept clinging onto his life.

He then suddenly said "If only I wasn't abandoned, just maybe I could be living a better life right now, or is it my luck that put me in my current situation?"

He questioned himself with a face that was devoid of life, he hadn't had much of that left anyway.

This person name was Zach, he didn't have a last name because he had to name his self.

Zach had then suddenly got up out of his reverie and looked around him searching for some source of food or water he could find in the slums in this dark alleyway.

He tried to get up but his body was too weak to move, he could barely see either because he was slowly losing life in his eyes that was barely their.

Zach then huffed and said under his breath "If only I was stronger, I would surely be in a better situation than what I am right now."

Once again, he attempted to life his body and, and unlike the last time, he managed to get up off the ground and walk slowly.

He continued walking deeper inside the alleyway, while looking left and right continuously searching for anything he could find.

As he was walking rats and stray cats were running past him and you could hear the sounds of them as well.

Even though he could barely see, he could hear as they moved around, and he could especially smell them, the smell was so strong it overtook any other aroma possible.

It was the smell of dead cats and rats and whatever other dead animals were lying in the corners of the alleyway lifeless.

Zach body was bent forward while walking, as he couldn't muster the strength to straighten his back, his arms were swinging forward almost as if they were detached off his body.

But that's not what was worse of his condition.

He was slowly but surely dying!

He hadn't ate or drunk anything in 8 months, he was purely surviving off willpower alone, but even that was closely coming to an end.

He even tried becoming a beggar when people were around, but all he got in return was a kick in either his stomach or face.

This only made him more angry at his self for not being able to do anything, but even more hatred to the people around him, they mercilessly ignored him or attacked him with no hint of hesitation in their face.

When this all happened all he could do was tighten his fists and let the anger subside and just walk away.

Sometimes he even thought of ending his own life, but no matter how much willpower he had, he couldn't bring his self to do it.

So all he could do was continue living in this uncivilized world until the end came, and that was soon to come in his current condition.

As he was walking, suddenly he lost all his strength and fell to the ground backwards, his breathing then got even more shallow to the point where the breathe wouldn't even escape his mouth.

Zach knew that his life was coming to a close and all he could do was close his eyes and wait till he died, he was dying a painful death, dying from hunger was in no way a peaceful death.

He hated the fact that he was going to die a painful death and wasn't going to get some form of revenge, but that didn't matter now, he had no strength too anyway, his body would be eaten by the rats and stray cats, and even maggots soon after.

He didn't care though, he couldn't care about anything as he had no willpower to or reason too.

Just as his life was about to come to a close in a few seconds, suddenly he saw in the sky two glistening orbs in the sky that left a trail behind, one was white and the other was black.

They were heading straight towards his body at an unbelievable speed, the two orbs then struck his body simultaneously and pulled something out of his body.

It was his soul that was being pulled out, and Zach was conscious of it, his soul then floated in the sky and fly at an alarming rate back into space.

While Zach was being dragged in the sky by the two orbs at a speed that he was sure that was faster than time, he was left dumbstruck.

He wondered what just had happened, and what was these two orbs that was dragging him to wherever they were going.

Soon after, they arrived in space, and he could see the planet he was previously on only getting farther and farther.

He had only one thought "So the world really isn't flat huh." Suddenly the speed only picked up and they went even faster.

Previously everything was a blur and he could barely see the outline of the planet, it was only because it was huge that he could tell the shape of it.

But now everything just looked weird in his eyes, he was sure that if he still had his body, he would have gotten an aching headache right now.

All he could see was darkness now at the speed the orbs were going and sometimes big and bright flashing of white light here and there.

It was only after an unknown amount of time did they suddenly come to a stop, he quickly looked around him but all he could see was darkness, but he also saw stars that were really bright.

There was no planets, no asteroids, or anything, it was almost as this part of the space was abandoned.

He then set those thoughts aside and focused his attention onto the two orbs that were floating in front of him and gulped.

He waiting for the orbs to do anything more, and a few second after, he could see that they suddenly started morphing.

The previous orb shape of them then suddenly started acting ferociously out of shape and they had gotten bigger and started to take shape of a person silhouette.

After a few seconds they became humongous figures that were floating in space, their height was unknown to me, but I had to look up to see them.

Then suddenly they started taking shape again, but this time it was more calm. all they did was get smaller in height.

They were now just a few inches taller than me and I didn't have to bend my neck backwards to see them.

They had no features at all, they had no face, no noes, or mouth, or even eyes, or anything for that matter.

They just had a body, almost like a wooden doll.

Then suddenly the one that was glowing white talked and said "Hello."

I didn't know how it was talking with no mouth, but I set that aside and said back "Hello." And waited for what was going to come next.
