1 New and Alternate Earth

"Hey, Mike! Move faster! The awakening ceremony would begin in a few moments." A young man yelled from the side of the road. His face was tanned, and he had large eyes with brown pupils. His brown hair was short and unkempt, and he was dressed casually in a red hoodie and blue pants. His body was thin, and he stood six feet tall.

Despite his tall stature, he was just sixteen this year. Lucas Green was his name.

He was staring at the young man on the other side of the road. This young man was quite average but had a well-toned figure. Outside of the black t-shirt and formal slacks, he was dressed in a black long coat. His pupils were normal, as were his brows, which were normal in shape and size.

He appeared to be the epitome of a gentleman, with his short black hair neatly groomed. He was eighteen years old, but a little shorter than Lucas. He and Lucas had been great friends since elementary school though Mike only treated him as a friend two years ago until then he was just a little brother for Mike.

Mike realized it had been eighteen years as he reflected on this. 'I had no idea I'd come to such a world.'

Yes, Mike was reborn from the present Earth of the twenty-first century. He was a college student who died and was mysteriously reborn here. But the reason for his death was the most humiliating, so much so that he didn't want to remember it.

He was a vibrant, healthy, and brilliant young man on Earth, but he died as a result of sex. He had a heart attack during his ejaculation on the day of his first sex. He has no idea why he had a heart attack at that precise moment, but he has never dared to indulge in sex since being reincarnated in this world.

But, as he forgot these memories, he crossed the road. This world was similar to, but not the same as, Earth. It was Earth, yet humans here had superpowers. These superpowers are primarily due to their innate ability.

A sixteen-year-old youth's innate ability is awakened during their awakening ceremony. It is now 2153, and the world has been tainted with dark energy for 200 years.

This world was extremely scientific, to the extent where they invented warp-space drive technology in the 1700s. It also had an illustrious government system. There were seven continents, including Antarctica, with 36 states on each except for Antarctica.

The size of the state is determined by the size of the continent. Interestingly, the names of the continents remained unchanged. A continent like Europe had to divide thirty-six states with thirty-six different governments, yet each state was small in comparison to Asian ones.

And each continent has a large empire comprised of select developed states. The empire is the continent's dominating force, and the emperor inevitably dominates it. Although the emperor governed it, the country's government was democratic, and the emperor was chosen by the inhabitants based on authority and reputation.

Mike resides in Asia, which is also the continent where he lived in his former life. But there were no separate languages in Asia. Because all continents and states spoke only one language. A translator's work was rendered obsolete because there were no other languages to translate.

He lives in the Asian continent's Ethen state. With an area of 2 million square miles, it was a large state. It was also one of the states located within the borders of the Asian Empire. When humans first ventured into space in the 1800s, they unintentionally nuked a neutron star that was much closer to Earth during space mining.

Their rocket was powerful, and as a result, it annihilated the neutron star. When the neutron star detonated, it unleashed a massive burst of energy that swallowed surrounding planets and celestial bodies.

Although this explosion did not reach Earth, it did cause a tremendous burst of dark energy to colliding with the planet. At the same time, the planet was utterly altered as a result of the many forms of energies that erupted out of neutron stars that combined with dark energy, and Innate Abilities began to manifest.

Although many people transformed after the introduction of the Innate Ability, no one predicted that the world would soon undergo another transformation.

The earth was soon hailed by massive battleships of the Alkiwon race. Alkiwon has a humanoid shape, but they have distinct and distinguishing characteristics that set them apart from humans. Dark scales, dark wings, and horns were among the characteristics.

As a result, the great conflict between humans and Alkiwon occurred. Both races suffered, and the human population on Earth fell to three billion, one billion on Mars, and fifty million on the moon. Following that, people began to build everything, including technologies, with the help of Innate Abilities.

The VR game 'Ascending to Godhood' was one of the most amazing pieces of technology. This game was only available to those who were awakened. He doesn't know much about it, but he's heard that it helps individuals gain strength faster.

But it all came down to one thing: awakening. Though not everyone is awakened, seventy-five percent of the world's nine billion individuals are. While crossing the street, his anticipation of awakening the innate ability surged tremendously, but he was overcome by terror.

"So, whatever intrinsic ability did you anticipate awakening?" He was asked as he went side by side with Lucas.

When Mike heard his query, he got a strange look in his eyes and looked at Lucas as if he was an idiot. "Did you get your head fractured after the fight with Brian?" he smashed his palm on Lucas's head.

"Hey, I'm OK. Just because I asked you a stupid question doesn't mean I've become stupid. And don't mention that bastard's name in front of me!" Lucas yelled and slapped Mike's hand. After ranting at Mike, he pouted with an angry grimace and looked away.

"Okay, okay, no one is calling you stupid. But it was a stupid question to ask. It's nearly hard to predict which ability you'll be able to activate. Unless it is an acquired ability." Mike shook his head and scratched the back of his slapped hand.

Innate Abilities are like a gift from God to the people. Although no one has discovered the whole component for developing an innate talent, it is conceivable to transmit someone's innate ability onto another. Normally, this is done in a large family with a hierarchical structure.

As a result, Innate Ability was separated into two categories: Natural Innate Ability and Acquired Innate Ability. Any ability, as long as it can expand, can be the Innate Ability. Because growth is the most significant aspect of innate ability, Natural Innate abilities are more valuable than Acquired Innate abilities.

In terms of growth, acquired innate ability can never match natural innate ability unless it is extremely high. F, E, D, C, B, A, and S are the seven grades of Innate Ability. The lowest rank is F-rank, while the greatest level is S-rank. This is often distinguished by the color of a person's core from within his body.

The F-rank core is white, the E-rank core is yellow, the D-rank core is red, the C-rank core is blue, the B-rank core is purple, the A-rank core is black and silver, and the S-rank core is golden.

The core is the enigmatic area that contains the Ability's Energy. Ability Energy is a blend of ability, stamina, strength, dark energy, and other types of energy. Ability Energy distinguishes itself based on ability. Fire Ability has Fire Energy to make it easy to grasp. This was his fundamental comprehension of Ability Energy. When a person establishes a core and embarks on a new journey, it is commonly referred to as the voyage of cultivation. Cultivation is also known as growth. Soldier, General, Commander, King, and Emperor are the five ranks of growth or cultivation.

There are thirteen stages in each rank. The cores reflect the thirteen phases of Soldier Rank. The first stage occurs when a person establishes his initial core. The second step will form the second core, and so on. However, once a core is established, it must be evolved nine times.

This indicates that to go through nine evolutions, one must fill his core with ability energy nine times. Mike was strolling down the street, thinking hard, 'Once I awaken my talent, I must spend my savings on enlightenment god stones. I'm not going to ask my aunt for money. I need to offer her a wonderful life once I'm stronger.'
