Good Ideas

I get out of my car and see him waiting in front of the building. I walk towards him and hug him. "Hey" He says. "Hey, the building looks nice today" I say. "Cause no ones around. I wanted to give you a tour." He says. "That would be lovely" I say as we enter the building.

We hold hands and he shows me a tour. We then come across the cafeteria and we have breakfast. "So, What was the first job you had?" I ask. "An intern here was actually my first job. You?" He says. "At a makeup store... Always wearing makeup in high school didn't suit me very much" I say with a chuckle. We look at each other for a minute or two. We come closer and kiss, and that moment. THAT MOMENT, nothing mattered. All that mattered was us, just us. Not his wife, not my boyfriend, not being a boss and an employee, US. We stop as we hear a phone call coming from his phone. "If I can guess, your wife?" I say. "Yes..." He says. "Answer it. It's fine." I say. He declines the call and looks at me. "Today is going to be just us." He says. I look down having a lot of things in my mind. "What's wrong?" He asks. "Even if I have you, I'm not the only one... we're together but I don't know if I can stand the fact you sleep in a bed with another woman every night." I say. "What do you mean?" He asks. "Do you love her, or me?" I ask. "That's pretty easy. My wife, I know she uses me. Once on a rainy day we got into a fight and I left, also leaving her in tears..." He says. "Why is the building closed today?" I ask to quickly change the topic. "The Chairman thinks that it would be fair to give everyone a weekend." He says. "Who's the chairman?" I ask. "My father..." He replies. "Wow, you must be very wealthy then." I say. "Yes... Can I ask you something?" He says. "Sure" I say. "How are you with money?" He asks. "I'm just normal... If this is a thing, I was practically born with a copper spoon." I say. "Are you able to afford a house?" He asks. "I actually live with my two best friends in a nice house" I say. After talking a bit more we end up reaching the end of this tour. "It was fun doing this." I say. "Yea, it was" He says smiling at me. "I have to go home now... I'll see you at work." I say. "Elle, Wait..." He says. I stop and look at him. He comes towards me and kisses me. I let go and say "Eric, we're in public...". "I don't care..." He says as we kiss again. We stop and I smile. "I'll see you later" I say as I walk away. I then drive home.

I enter my house and see Jackson. "Welcome home" He says. "Oh, hey!" I say, I never really expected him to be here. I walk in my room and sit down. He enters the room and says "Is something bothering you?". "No, not at all" I say. He comes towards me and lays me down as he goes on top of me. "Tell me, what's bothering you?" He asks. "Nothing..." I say as we kiss. I immediately stop. "We can't do this..." I say. "Elle, you've been acting up" He says as we get up and sit. "Like I said, there's nothing wrong-" "Then why did you stop?" He asks, cutting me off. "I love you..." I say. "I love you too..." He says. "Do you... Wanna sleep over tonight?" I ask. "Sure" He says as he smiles at me. At this point it feels like we have that connection again. The one we had in high school.

It's a bit later and Jackson and I end up making out. Riley and Sadie aren't home yet so let's just take advantage of the time we have together. We end up going to base two. As we lay down in bed I can't stop thinking, What about Eric? I feel like I'm betraying him.
