all the gangster's had been taken out by kyle one horrible way or the other. he either killed them through his brute strength, dark flames, or death call.

but the one thing in which he found more strange in all his skills was death's call. as it had the power to take away a living beings life force. though they're still other skills he hasn't tested or bought yet like transformation, kirlin eyes, etc.

"I can't believe death's call was this powerful." kyle had a huge grin on his face he hadn't expected that little boy to contain such power as it did.

"wait! snow can death's call evolve like dark flames?" this idea had just popped in kyle's head. as he thought if dark flames could evolve then death's call could also evolve. and the more he thought about the skill being more deadly made a creepy smile form on his face.

"you know you look like you just undergoed a failed plastic surgery right..."

"j-just answer the question." kyle's eyes twitched as he crossed his arms together. he just couldn't get used to snow and it felt like they weren't getting along that well as he planned.

"well demon.. death's call can't evolve on it's own."

"what do you mean can't evolve on it's own?" kyle furrowed his brows. "does that mean my other skills can evolve through other means..."

"of course.." as a demon there are various things a skill will require which you must complete for it to evolve into a powerful one.

"hmm.." kyle heaved a deep breath but all he could smell was blood. "kinda like dark flames.."

"exactly like the dark flames..." snow said in his head.

"w-why is he talking to himself." one of the women on the floor muttered. they had finished ripping Dimitri's skin leaving his body in a messy state.

"I don't know but just leave him be we don't want to upset him." the one whom kyle saved earlier from Dimitri said looking at kyle's back.

"we can't just stay here he'll kill us.."

"let's run while he's distracted..."

"no! if he wanted to kill us he would've done so a long time ago.."

"h-how do you know?"

"i-i don't know but I can tell he doesn't want to hurt us."

"I don't want to die nimiko..." the one who looked to be the youngest held nimiko tightly.

"i-i promise we'll get out of this alive no matter what." nimiko softly spoke gently brushing her hair softly.

"just what are your intentions and w-what are you?" nimiko wondered staring at the handsome young teenage boy's back.

"so how can death's call evolve.." kyle excitedly asked rubbing his hands together in excitement.

"as you grow stronger and evolve death's call will also do the same."

"so death's call is on the same evolution path as me."

"hehe I can't wait." kyle childishly replied. walking out to go and get yua and Susan.

he knew the boss leader wouldn't hurt them as he could feel a connection with yua. he didn't know why but his senses told him they were alive and well.

"wait mister!" nimiko stutteredly yelled out which made kyle stop in his tracks.

"you're free now go.." he continued walking out but was grabbed by the hand.

"don't waste my time or i'll kill you." kyle wasn't joking when he said he'd kill her as she didn't mean anything to him nor did he feel attracted to her in any way.

"please we don't have anywhere to go to and the boss will surely find us and make us pay." nimiko eyes were teary as she spoke holding kyle's arm.

"you can't stay with me and don't try to follow me.." kyle pushed her away onto the ground.

"w-what are you?" nimiko asked kyle.

as she had no idea how kyle had been shot dead and he was still alive. she knew he wasn't human at least cause no normal human would've ever gotten up again.

"why the hell would I tell you." he sprung out the door really fast. his intentions were really clear about not wanting to have extra load.

"ahh are you alright nimiko?"

"ye-ah am fine.." nimiko slowly stood up as she held her head.

"see I told you we couldn't trust him." they were all terrified of kyle but only she had the boldness to approach him.

"what do we do now nimiko?"

"i-i don't know but am going to follow him."

"are you mad? he'll surely kill us we should just run away to another place..." a blonde haired spoke.

"no matter where we run to Shelly they will always find us our best chance is him.." nimiko said already following after kyle.

"wait for us..."

"I can smell them here.." kyle muttered under his breath as he weirdly knew the scent of yua and Susan.

he was currently up in the third floor in front of a door labelled room e38.

the door wasn't like any of the other doors as it was placed at the far end of the hall away from the others.

he proceeded with caution in the dark not wanting to alarm the gangster's boss. as he could hear three heartbeats just a few feets away from where he was.

the room was kinda like a storage place because there wasn't any hospital equipments or bed of some sort only sealed items in cartons and boxes.

"ok so this isn't creepy at all." kyle sarcastically spoke as he moved further. he had walked some feets when his eyes could see some figures in the distance.

"what's he doing?" he was confused when he just saw the gangster's boss standing there not moving. while the girls where knocked out on the floor.

"who's that?" amidst the darkness he could clearly see a fourth figure but the striking appearance was the four glowing red eyes.

the figure held the gangster leader in it's hand and with it's bare hand ripped off the head of the gangster.

there wasn't any screaming or pain sound which came out from the dead man before he died.

then the same white energy which came out when a living being died seeped into the creature ahead.

"now that was tasty..." a soft sweet voice came out from the creature as it dropped the body to the floor. now that kyle got a better view he could see she's a female with two horns sticking out her head. and that sweet devilish voice jogged his memory.

"lilith..." when kyle heard the voice he instinctively knew it was his demon wife who had been gone for a while now.

"y-you cheeky demon where the hell did you go.." kyle roared like a broken piece of wall that had finally been filled back.

when lilith turned she was happy to see kyle safe and sound as she thought something bad might have happened to him.

"quick kyle we have to get out of here.." lilith hurriedly said picking up yua and Susan in the blink of an eye.

"what are you talking about lilith?" kyle asked confused this was the first time he was seeing lilith this worried and he couldn't help but sense something was wrong.

"what's wrong..."

"i-it's Lucifer he's sent a demon here."

"w-what." kyle was taken aback this wasn't the kind of news he wanted to hear. first he was shot while taking out a group of gangsters and now this.

"today just seems to be my lucky day." kyle frowned. "how much time do we have lilith?"

"i don't know for sure but I made sure not to use demon energy here to buy us some time."

"shit." kyle clicked his tongue he didn't know demons could feel and sense demon energy.

"w-why are you looking like that d-did you use demon energy?" lilith was hoping he would say no but unfortunately he said the opposite.

"shit! then we don't have much ti-" lilith was stopped by the sound of footsteps from where kyle came in and the next sec she was holding nimiko by the throat.

"cr-ckk..." nimiko stared at lilith with wide eyes she and the other four women had decided to follow kyle. and when they traced him here through the blood droplets never did they expect to see a more terrifying being.

"wait lilith don't kill her..."

"what do you mean.. she's an intruder." lilith furrowed her brows.

"no she's a victim we don't have time for this lilith..." kyle had already placed Susan on his back. and carried yua in his arms in a princess carriage as they were surprisingly light on him.

"you have a lot of explaining to do mister." lilith snorted as she let go of nimiko and returned back to her normal human appearance.

"ha~ha.."

"are you alright nimiko?"

"yeah yeah.." nimiko struggled to catch her breath. ever since she was a child she was with these gangsters and now they were dead her life had taken another turn.

"you better keep up or you're dead." kyle spoke coldly walking out with lilith following behind him.

"I hope I wasn't wrong." nimiko muttered and she and the women also tagged along with kyle out of the dark room.

"lilith can you still sense the demon?" kyle asked carefully since he wasn't yet able to sense demon energy and a demon's presence he could only rely on his wife.

"that's weird." lilith held her chin.

"what..."

"the demon is gone I can't sense it anywhere in the building."

"at least it'll buy us some time." kyle heaved a breath of relief. he didn't know what he'd do if he met the fierce demon who will crush him within the blink of an eye.

though he had lilith which was the second most powerful demon but what about the people around him. he wasn't sure they could handle the pressure of two fierce demon battling. and more importantly he didn't want to put yua and the ones he love in any risk at all.

"kyle your aunt's here."

"what w-where is she is she alright..." kyle was panicking he'd totally forgotten aunt kimi would be here today to pick him up.

"calm down i saw to it that she's okay she's with that doctor.." that might have calmed down kyle's nerves a little but he still needed to see his aunt.

"but I think there's something you need to see.." lilith said walking to the stairs and taking kyle to the higher floors.

"w-what happened to them." kyle was looking at the patients in the rooms which were behaving abnormal.

some were pulling out their hairs while some were tearing their flesh with sharp objects all muttering a strange language.

"huh!" nimiko and the four women gripped kyle tightly as they stared at the horror play in their fronts which made lilith give a chilly gaze directly at kyle.

"these people are absolutely fine." lilith said staring at a middle aged man that bit his own flesh and ate it.

"did you hit your head or something lilith?" kyle thought lilith was fooling around like usual and he couldn't help but feel his demon wife was childish.

"ahh! look closer kyle can't you feel it that's demon energy they're all under that demon's energy."

"b-but how? I thought demon energy are only meant to channel our skills not control people." this felt weird for kyle as he hadn't expected demon energy to be used in its raw form.

"woah i-ive been absorbing demon energy?" he'd absorbed 20% of demon energy without even realising it.

which meant this place was really packed with high amount of demon energy his absorption rate to be this fast.

"kyle I don't know what's going on but I know Lucifer's planning something far more bigger than us."

now that kyle thought of it lilith was right if Lucifer truly sent that demon here to return lilith then it would be an entirely different story. but the demon wasn't here for either of them as it had already fufilled what it came here to do and went.

"am sure the demon just left earth for a while this is just the beginning of Lucifer's plan we can't stay here much longer it's better we go home."

kyle clenched his fist deep into his skin as blood spilled out. he was frustrated with himself for not being able to do anything.

"hey.. don't beat yourself up you just became a demon there are something's we shouldn't rush." lilith comforted him.

"you're right lilith.." he smiled. "i'll make sure I evolve before that demon returns." kyle said with a determined face as he went to get kimi.
