1006 Value

In order for your words to have any actual value, it is vital to be more honest. For example; if you're always complimenting someone's cooking with it tastes amazing, the neutral value of compliments will be set at amazing. You can think of it as overinflating the market.

If you're honest with your criticism and rarely give any extremely good evaluations, those great evaluations will become much more desirable and valuable.

It's same as never purposely losing to a child. More often than not, this will make a child more competitive and that eventual victory will feel much more rewarding.

Fyi: I'm not saying, "don't ever give compliments," what I'm trying to say is, "don't overinflate the compliments market."
