1 The Girl

There was a school in the Milky Way. It was called Interstellar Military Academy. Everyone wanted to go there. If you didn't people thought you had some sort of mental illness or other reason. A lot of the time if people didn't want to go they were mainly just attention hogs wanting for people to ask why. The IMA only exepted the best of the best, all A's, no detention, or anything else that was bad.

There was someone at this particular school named Amanda, she was an all A student, with a perfect record and exceedingly well combat skills in Taekwondo.

If you thought that was me, you'd be dead wrong, my name is Grace, I'm a B student with very low combat skills. If I were to fight a 5th grader I'd lose. The only good thing about me is that I have exceptional vitality. That's all, nothing weird.

In this day of age, we need strong fighters to fight off the aliens that threaten us, with superior levels of pretty much everything, humans would get killed by the hundreds before killing them. When we did kill them though, a liquid oozed off of them. a grey liquid with the consistency of molasses. We called it Xenotegere, or basically the aliens protection.

Us humans combined this with metal gases to create a semi-sentient goo. Which was promptly given the name Xenotegeric Alloy. There were different colors for different gases. Red for iron, green for copper, yellow for gold and so forth. When this goo was injected into the nervous system it caused massive damage, but if the host survived the alloy repaired the nervous system and any other negative symptoms.

It also cured mental illnesses too, by altering the brain. It did this so it could work properly, if it didn't do this it likely would have killed the host by squeezing their organs.

When it was injected and solved the problems for it to work properly it would start reinforcing muscles and bones. All the way through the body until nothing needs to be reinforced any more. This usually took many months, and the host would need constant nutrition and exercise, without it they would crumble to dust.

Many hosts died in this way. They can fight, but were lazy, and refused to exercise. Thus crumbling to dust as their muscles couldn't keep up with the strain.

That would be a horrible way to die. If Grace ever got one she swore to do anything to survive. When the day started it was normal, most students got in their cliques, and talked, waiting for school to start. Unfortunately, Grace just moved here, so she didn't have any friends.

"Hey look it's the new kid." Many teenagers thought, some saying it aloud. Many didn't like how she looked, hoodie, long hair and just pitiful. She pretty much was the epitome of loneliness.

"Hey!" A student shouted. Grace just ignored whoever it was. A group of girls all tenth graders, strutted over to her. They started talking to her and suddenly started to get into fighting positions.

"We always test our new students to a fight, sorta like sizing us up. Except one of us will be in the principal's office, and the other in the infirmary." As a girl who was about a foot taller than Grace started to walk forward.
