8 Great Start For Summer
It was finally summer.
Xander never thought he would say this again but, school sucks. Xander had too many things to work on to waste his day at school.
Good news though, he sometimes slept (Meditated) in the ID while his Ghosts farmed it up. It was because of this that he finally got his Spirit past 100.
This means his current stats look like this.

Grants you the ability to use Mana as Ki and the ability to move Ki in a certain direction.
- Gain 4.5% bonus to all Ki skills
- Able to somewhat move Ki

[Are you finally going to tell me why you wanted to train Mana Manipulation before Ki?]
Xander smiled at the question and opened the Zombie ID. He immediately summoned two of his Ghosts and had them fly around to kill the required 100 zombies to summon the ID boss.
"It's quite simple, my dear Scarlet" Xander extended his arm from the elbow and opened his palm facing upwards "for many people, there are things they always wanted to do"
As Xander was speaking, Mana became visible around his extended right hand "for some, it is the Super Saiyan transformation from DragonBall Z" the Gathered Mana began to twist and turn in on itself "for others it's the Kamehameha" the Mana started to condense itself into Xander's palm "or maybe the force push from Star Wars, or to read minds or to shoot fire out of their ass or whatever"
Xander's face smiled manically "but I really wanted to try one thing more than anything else" the Mana finally stabilised in the form of a sphere with several twirling lines inside it
*Ding*
Xander never felt as good about hearing this sound as he felt now, but before he can check his new skill, he was interrupted.
*ROOOOAR*
Xander looked up and saw the giant undead running towards him. Xander frowned at the ruined moment, then smirked at the monster running to its death and finally grinned as he used his speed as a grand master, and in an instant reached the monster's head.
"RASENGAN"
With a battle cry Xander hit the Giant with his new skill.
Understandably, the monster's head twisted in on itself, separating it from the rest of the body and sending it flying into a building in the background.
[You're such a geek]
"Excuse me" Xander replied snobbishly "the correct term is otaku"
[Whatever you say Boss]
"Never mind that, let's see my skill"

A skill based on condensing and rotating Mana.
- Deals Physical Damage equal to 53% of invested Mana
- Deals Magical Damage equal to 103% of invested Mana

*Whistle*"Wow, this is really strong. I'm guessing the rotation is making the physical Damage" Xander asked after reading the skill's description

"Nice, as expected of my chosen skill"
[You could've made any skill, including the Kamehameha, but chose to do the Rasengan… why?]
"Evolution" Xander said with a proud grin "the Kamehameha is a pure power skill. This means it grows strong if you grow strong, but that's it. The Rasengan on the other hand…"
[Can be fused with a plethora of other techniques] Scarlet would be nodding in understanding, if she had a body
"Like the Rasenshuriken and the clone barrage Rasengan and so on and so forth" Xander nodded

Xander was done with the ID for the day and so he was heading home
[Now that you have it, what are your plans?]
"More Mana Manipulation grinding and item creation" Xander shrugged
[What…] Scarlet was interrupted by an Xander's phone ringing
Xander looked at the caller ID and saw that it was his publisher so he answered
"Hello, Kenichi-sensei"
"Yo Yutake-San, what can I do for you?" Xander has an idea of what this call was about just from the excitement in his publisher's voice
"I have great news. The company is planning to make an anime out of your Manga"
Xander, knowing this already had something in mind "Sure, but I decide on the animation company and direct the animation"
"Huh, b- but"
"If it can't be done, then forget about it"
"Wait wait wait, let's talk about it properly. Do you have a company in mind?" Yutake quickly asked
"No" Xander deadpanned
"Then, do you have experience in animation?"
"Sure I do" he did not
"Um, can you send us some of your work?"
"Sure. In fact, I'll animate something just for you, and send it your way by… say, the weekend?" that should give him five days to figure something out
"Great, I'll speak with you then Sensei"
"OK, later" Xander closed his phone
[…You don't know how to animate]
"System, give me a quest with the reward being Master level animator skills"

Sigh "Let's get to it"
Xander immediately opened ID: thugs and got ready for the fight. He summoned his Ghosts and sent them to rain hell on the poor bastards, while he did what he did in the zombies ID, meditate.
The thugs don't have a special skill on them or gamer's body, so if you hit them with an exploding magical bullet, they tend to die. For those that don't, they get shot again.
This took about two minutes, before the sound of a bike reverberated in the ID, is there are no cars here.
Xander looked towards the 'Boss' and smiled, the dude looked like a Japanese biker from the eighties. Xander looked at the biker coming towards him and jumped in the biker's direction.
As he was falling, Xander used his new favourite skill, the Rasengan and dove into the biker's path. As the dust cleared, the level 20 'Boss' was no more.
"Let's get to the next one" Xander spoke to the Ghosts before vanishing
And so Xander went through the following ID's the same way. Here's a breakdown:
ID: Low level Disciples
Use 3 Mana pellets and rain hell on them as they have no supernatural abilities.
ID: Middle level Disciples
Look above
ID: Yakuza
This is where the Ghosts didn't just rain hell down, but snipe people. The Yakuza, unlike the video games and movies, are well armed. So the original method was discarded and instead, Xander hid himself in an apartment, and had his Ghosts snipe people from the roof tops then change location and do it again.
It took the Ghosts a bit to reposition so the whole thing took about half an hour.
Then the Boss showed up with a bazooka. Not planning on going anywhere near him, Xander and the ghosts took position on the rooftops surrounding him. Before he could notice them, each of them prepared a [Mana pellet] with 100 Mana each and fired them at the Boss's head.
With 700 Mana worth of destruction heading towards him, the boss could only die

"Well that took me all of an hour, and gave me enough experience to almost be level 35, that's stupid" Xander shook his head as he looked at the 42 unassigned points in his Stats screen
[It's not stupid; it's built for worlds that far surpass this one in power. also, you have the stats of a level 200 character, why blame it on the System] Scarlet admonished Xander
"Hey, I worked hard for years to get those stats" Xander tried to defend himself
[You're thirteen and you have the physique of a Grand Master, what are you complaining about Boss]
"You know what, I don't know" Xander shrugged "Guess I'm just tired"
[But you didn't do anything] Scarlet took another jab at him
"I was the thinker" Xander answered unfazed and continued heading home, he'll look at the Boss rewards at another time, now is the time for him to spend time with his family.
