A New Hope!

I stood strong in front of Scott; no way was I gonna let him just take Hope. Not without a fight. I couldn't. Not after everything that's happened. My conscience won't allow it.

" Move aside boy." Scott spoke. I could practically feel his anger.

" We both know that's not gonna happen." I told the man.

Scott scoffed and walked until he stood directly in front of me. He was a tall man, so I had to look up to see into his visor.

" You just gonna stand there staring into my face?" I asked the man. I was trying to be confident, but as I stood in front of him, I felt his sheer power weighing down on me. It was like a vast ocean, and I felt like I was drowning.

Scott smirked. His expression was smug. Almost as if he could sense what I was thinking and was proud of it.

" I have telepathy, I can hear your thoughts." Scott spoke.

" Oh, you arrogant phoenix bastard. Just punch me already." I punched Scott in his stomach, and he toppled over.

He then reached up and grabbed me by the head and slammed me into the ground, shattering it below us.

I rolled over on the ground and swung my legs into the air and kicked Scott in his face, I was surprised that I had managed to bust the man's nose. And so was he.

He reached up and rubbed his nose. He then looked down at his hand in shock. When the realization that he was bleeding hit him, he looked at me and glared.

" You're done!" Scott exclaimed. He rushed me at a speed I was just barely able to react to and kicked towards my chest.

I raised all of my arms up to block the strike. But it was so heavy that it still sent me flying through the nearby buildings.

" UghhH!" Okay, it's official. I've never been hit that hard in all of my life. I crippled over and coughed up blood all over the floor.

" Done already?" Scott asked.

I looked up to see the man standing right in front of me smiling.

" I'm not done yet."

Scott immediately blasted me in the face with his optic beams. It burned me. I was sent crashing through the rest of the building and back out onto the streets.

Scott walked up to me and put his foot on my head.

" Right where you belong. At my feet. I hope you've learned a lesson, boy."

I tried lifting my head, but the power that Scott possessed now, was far beyond anything I have ever experienced. I was completely outclassed as I was now.

I continued struggling to lift my head when Scott suddenly lifted his foot up. I tried to take the chance to move, but Scott quickly slammed his foot back down hard.

" Ugghhh!" I groaned. It felt like a mountain was just dropped on my head. I could even feel it becoming wet around my face. I opened my eyes and looked down. " Oh, it's my blood." It's been so long since I've bled that I forgot the sight of my own blood. Or even what it felt like.

" Stay down, kid. I didn't come here to kill anyone. But right now, I'm on edge. I'm tired. And i don't know what I'd do. Especially not to traitors." Scott spoke.

Damn! It really does piss me off that I'm losing so badly. I mean, I'm supposed to be better than this. But right now, it seems like this might be the end for me.

" Nah! No way in hell." I pushed my hands up underneath me and started lifting myself back up. I got to my feet, although a little clumsily, but still I stood. I raised my fists to continue to fight the man.

" So be it." Scott replied.

" Stop it!" Hope exclaimed.

She ran through the alley with her eyes ablaze, following behind her was Beast, Iron Man, and the Scarlet Witch.

" Ahh, hope. So, you came to me. Good. It's time to go." Scott told the girl. He flexed his power, by summoning a wall of fire.

Wanda quickly got in front the group and tried attacking Scott, only for Scott to easily deflect her hex blast.

" Nice try." Scott told the woman. " But I'm stronger than the last time we met." Scott told the woman.

" That was everything I had." Wanda exclaimed.

" Hope get behind us." Hank shouted.

" Now give me the girl." Scott spoke.

" Not gonna happen." I told the man. I was still able to fight, if only a little, it was still enough to help the others.

" NO! Stop this!" Hope exclaimed. Her body was suddenly engulfed in the same fire that Scott was. She also summoned the energy of the iron fist and the Scarlet Witch's chaos energy. She pointed at Scott and the man suddenly fell back to the ground, powerless.

" How did you do that?" Scott asked in disbelief.

" KIIIIIYAAAAAAH!" Hope reeled back and punched Scott in his chest with the power of the Iron fist and Chaos.

The moment her attack landed, Scott suddenly vanished, leaving behind a small patch of fire.

" What just happened? What did I do? Where did Cyclops go?" Hope asked in a panic.

I walked up to the girl and patted her on the shoulder. " I think you just kicked his ass. And he ran away." I told the girl. I smiled and then. " Oh, wait a minute. There go my legs." I suddenly dropped to the ground and passed out.
