2: The Unexpected

Chris pov

Early in the morning, I can hear Jean and Scott down the hall. I am still thinking of what had happened yesterday. It's just that my power is getting stronger and I want a challenge that someone out there can keep up with me I know people here in the mansion are good and all helping me to control my power but I have always had to hold back. When I'm lost in my own little world I made it where Jean and Scott are arguing about. 

I sighed knowing what was happening right now "Is Jean taking forever in the bathroom again". 

"Yeah because we're going to be late for school and she just brushing her hair in the mirror right now." Scott started to bang the door louder "HURRY UP JEAN!!!!" 

Jean opened the door "OK OK I'm finished you know I need some privacy guys" when her arms crossed "And I'm always waiting for you guys and especially you chris you know" while she was pointing at me with a knowing look.

"Why are you bringing me into this Scott is the one who was telling you to hurry up," I said pointing at Scott when I saw Jean was about to say something but I cut her off. "You know what I don't want to hear it Mom we should go before you give us a headache" will saying with a sarcastic voice leaving them with Jeans ready to explode and scott holding his laugh. As I was about to leave I heard Professor's voice calling us to his office to meet him in the office.

When we reached the office to meet to greet the professor we saw a man with a long coat, hat, and a mask covering his face. 

"Team I want you to meet Kurt Wagner," the Professor said while introducing to us to him.

I saw Scott introducing himself with a handshake. When I saw Kurt's hand I admittedly knew why covered himself up he looked scared when he shook Scott's hand.

"Hey don't be scared man It's just your mutant powers wait until when I turn into firepower it'll burn you when you're near me," I said with a calm voice knowing what other people would think. I notes him taking off his hat and mask with a smile on his face.

"It's a pleasure to meet you all," he said with a German accent. 

"I was just telling Kurt how I set up this institute for gifted youngsters. That youngster whose gifts are not always an asset." Professor said then he looked at me and Scott "Right boys". 

"We know We know," we both said at the same time knowing what was about to happen.

"It was a bad situation and there was an accident we're sorry," Scott said with a sighed

"I know boys and especially you chris you must be careful boys," Professor said with a strict tone.

Scott got angry saying "Come on professor I'm packing a bazooka behind each eyeball. What do you want from me." pointing at his eyes.

"Control Scott that's what you're here to learn that's why you're all here," Professor said pointing at all of us. 

I got so angry because how can I control my powers " Really control you know how hard it is for me to control my powers." while I was talking I didn't know the room was getting hotter each second. The people around me were starting to sweat from their foreheads. My eyes start to turn mixed with orange and red and under my eyes veins are coming toward my eyes that look like I'm about to shoot heat vision. "You have no idea how I'm been controlling my powers each day I'm getting stronger and fastER I'M A WALKING NUC PROFESSOR I FEEL LIKE I CAN BREAK SOMEONE JUST BY TOUCHING THEM!!!!" my voice sounds like two people with power. I didn't know veins all across my body starting to turn orange and red. My hands burned through the last of its neck flesh and everything below started to melt. when I was about to say something I heard Charlie saying "ENOUGH"

I starting to notice everyone is already there backs against the wall. I started to look around and noticed everywhere around me had already melted. That was when I looked down at my hands, set alight in orange magma and red flames. I lowered the temperature but still in my first stage I call it firestorm. "I'm sorry Professor," I said while looking at my magma and flame hands.

"It's alright Chris at least you know how to lower down the temperature when you are in your firestorm mode and It's the first stage you are learning. You can have a day off to clear your head alright" he said with a knowing look 

"Alright professor I'll see you guys later" I started to leave turning off my powers and going out in the city to clear up my mind.

POV

When chris was gone everyone was silent knowing how his powers is except one.

"WHAT JUST HAPPEN Now I know why Professor and Storm said his the Golden Boy in this institution," Kurt said with an aw and scared face that he just witnessed an angry God.

"That Kurt you just witnessed is Chris's power," Jean said with a sad look hearing what chris had said.

"Now You know why we call him the Golden Boy," Scott said with his arm crossed looking toward where Chris was.

"Indeed while you have teleportation, Jean has telekinesis, Scott has optic blast. Chris, you made me think he has fire or magma no he has the power of the sun meaning he is a human sun." Professor said looking out the window and seeing a black car heading towards the city. That Kurt has an aww expression of knowing what kind of power he has.

Chris Pov

I was so hungry I went to McDonald's to get a Big Mac, large fries, and a large soda. When I was eating to cool off my mind I tried to test some of my powers this one is called heat signature I can detect people around me I call it Heatwave. It's a good thing for me so I can know If I'm going to be attacked behind my back or anywhere around across 20 mile radius. While I was trying to test my powers I noticed one person across from me. His heat signature was a little off and I started to notice his a mutant like me because a human heat signature is calm and relaxing while a mutant heat signature is wild and uneasy.

The boy around my age 18 years old and wearing a fancy suit has brown hair and brown eyes. He was staring right at me turning his head and telling me lets get out of hear. When he got up and walked out of there heading toward an ally. I looked around and see if someone was watching then I followed him.

When I reached the ally I noticed he wasn't there and I heard a calm British voice "So did Magneto call one of his goons to come and recruit me. That old man thinks his so powerful that his a God". I looked everywhere to see where he is "This is why I hate big ego mutants and the governments. They think they are so wise they want everyone to follow and listen to them like dogs." 

"I not of what that weird name or their boy band just come out and let's talk alright Harry Potter" When I said that I saw him teleport in some kind of dark shadow with his hand forming a shadow dagger.

"Really?"

"Yeah really Harry Potter"

"THAT NOT MY NAME"

"Really you're British"

"YOU ... my name is Thomas Heart," he said with a calm jester 

"Well Tommy my name is Christopher Ford but people call me Chris nice powers you got there" I said with a smirk to try to mess with him and see It was working.

We circle each other seeing that we both know we want to strike at each other. My blood is pumping and I'm excited because finally I can let loose but I don't want anyone around us to get hurt. I know the Professor said that we can't get caught while using our powers outside the mansion unless it is a emergency. Sorry professor but I'm finally getting to fight someone that I don't know and their powers either. When I was looking around I noticed Tom saw that I was worried about other people around us. 

 "You really think I care about anyone around us to get hurt? I rather watch them die because you have no idea what they would do to us and they won't care if it's a boy, girl, or a child." He said with a serious voice. When I heard him say that something in me was angry about what he said about what they did and especially a child. 

my eyes turned on fire and I then said "And you're showing them why they should be afraid of us that were animals and that we should be in cages or worse dead. I know what some people do to us because they're dead but these people around here don't but please there are children around us." when I said that he looked outside the ally to see family with children. I can see conflict in his eyes just see if something happen while we're going fight. 

"Okay fine let go to the woods but I rather see the kids safe other than the grown ups because no matter what they will always see us like monsters" while he was looking at me knowing he would rather see the parents die than the children's. So he created shadowing portal and walking through it while saying " You coming or what".

When I look around not seeing anybody I walked through the portal without not seeing a small drone was spying on us since the beginning we talked.
