15. Aftermath

Ruth wants to know everything, she waits for a while, she lets Dale have a few bites, then she started questioning again, but now in a soft and calmer manner but her anger was still there in speech, "Did Cody hurt you? What's he exactly wants ? And very important, where did he take you ?".

Dale wants to talk with her but David was there, but he realizes in the second he can't talk, his wolf is under Alpha order. Cody is not Alpha yet, He can't understand what is happening. He decided to talk with her after school. So he replied, "Nothing serious, we will talk after school." She understands he can't talk in front of David. But she wanted an answer now so she replied, "If you want, we can leave now, we don't need to go home, we can hang out in the garden." Garden means Pack forest. Pack has a huge forest around it.

Pack members are not allowed to go in but all teenagers hang out there. It's not dangerous in day time, at night rough can attack you. Generally no one goes too deep.

Dale declined that he can't disobey alpha, he has to act normal and this means attend all classes. And If Dales wants to disobey, his wolf will not let him.

Ruth wants to force him but she knows it will not help, and lunch break also ends.

After school they started walking to home, Dale and Ruth were silent, Ruth wanted to let Dale start the conversation. After a few moments, Dale opened his mouth, "Ruth, ever you heard Alpha can get power or authority before the ceremony or in transition." he paused and gave time to grasp Ruth, what's he talking.

Ruth replied, "Did Cody order you to do something, is he using you for his evil acts ?".

Dale, "Stick to the subject, I asked you something, answer me, don't play smart, okay ? I need your help here."

Ruth, "He is not Alpha yet, he doesn't hold any authority against us."

Dale, "But one day he is going to, so you need to be careful around him. This is between him and me, don't get involved, i don't know how but i will resolve it, okay ?".

Ruth nodded.

Dale, "Do you trust me? I want you to."

Ruth, "We can go to the pack library and read about transition and alpha power if you want."

Dale, "That sounds like a plan."

They walked in silence on the rest of the road.
