Wrong Timing

[MATURE CONTENT] - NO RAPE "You seem to be inclined to the challenge, incredible how you want things on the hardest way, when they come easy, you tend to reject it. It seems you don't like it. And in the end you always choose the wrong timing... But I believe in you." When Nina finally gets her promotion in a large Architecture firm, she doesn't imagine that this promotion and a lecture in another country could cause an upheaval in her life. The possibility of experiencing a new love, unlike anything she has ever experienced and the return of a ghost from the past, make Nina have to leave her comfort zone and face her fears, traumas and challenges to live this intense passion. ************************************************************** "Damn, did something happen? She said she wasn't feeling well and now she doesn't answer the fucking room phone or cell phone. - Okay, I'll need the room key. - I said. - Sir, unfortunately it won't be possible. It is against our privacy policy. - said the receptionist. - But what? I know her, Marina Maia, she was with me earlier today and said she was not feeling well. I haven't heard from her since we had lunch. I called and you called and she didn't answer. Aren't you worried? - Sir, have you considered the possibility of her leaving or simply not wanting to attend to you? - he had the audacity to say. - What the fuck? - I said. - Can I help with anything else? - he asked me. - No grazie, but I think this could help you. - I said, discreetly handing him a hundred euro bill. - A moment, signori. - he replied while calling someone. Damn it, I would still be kicked out of the hotel for a bribe. He whispered in the man's ear and came towards me. - What? - I asked. - Didn't you want to go to 1102? Come on, quickly. - he replied. I was so nervous that I only thought about what to say to Marina when the receptionist was opening the door, my heart cold. And there she was, in the deepest sleep. Snoring. We stood at the door without moving. - Looks like your Fiona is asleep. Or in a coma. - he said. - Shut the fuck up. - I answered." ************************************************************** I do not own the cover picture and is owned by the rightful owner.

Turbulence - Part 2

-POV ENZO-

I was in Brazil for a few days, not for pleasure but for work, a lot of work by the way. There were tireless meetings with investors and potential associates, the company was in a very good phase and since my father decided that we would open a headquarters in Brazil fifteen years ago, we already had a project for a new office and future plans for the construction of more two.

My flight had a stopover in Rio de Janeiro and holy God how I hated those damn stopovers, the Brazil x Italy connection was long and exhausting, even traveling first class. And I hated feeling trapped for so long inside a giant can of sardines that could plummet from the sky at any moment and reduce myself to a compacted meatloaf inside a giant metal can. My techniques for killing time were to keep working, have a drink or try to sleep.

I decided to focus on one of them, work. I was extremely focused on working on my laptop when I felt the impact of something heavy as fuck falling on my head. Damn, the pain and irritation came instantly and I just wanted to kill whoever the clumsy son of a bitch was. But to my surprise, when I looked up, I saw a young woman with wide eyes. She seemed to be in shock as it took her a long time to move. I acted quickly and picked up her bag from the floor and placed it in the reserved compartment above the chair that was too high for her to reach. We didn't exchange a word and I went back to what I was doing without wasting any more of my time. The congress was only a few days away, setbacks could always happen and I was too tired to deal with any shit that could come up because of bad planning or incompetence on the part of others. I was known for being methodical and a little bit of a perfectionist, so dealing with setbacks was all I hated most in the world, so I did everything to make things happen as planned.

Unfortunately my concentration didn't last long, the woman who dropped the bag on me kept talking on her cell phone and I couldn't help but pay attention. She had dark skin and voluminous curly hair that went up to her breasts height, quite beautiful breasts by the way. She was wearing a tight white blouse that had a V-shaped neckline that was not very deep, just enough to draw attention to her attributes. Over it she wore a light pink blazer with the sleeves folded up to the height of the forearm. She also wore very tight jeans that marked his wide hips and on his feet, a pair of white sneakers.

I could see that she was talking to her mother on her cell phone and that she mentioned the incident with the bag. It was impossible not to laugh when she said something about me having laser vision and disintegrating her with my eyes. Although I was enjoying myself, I thanked internally when she finally ended her call and I was able to refocus on my work. But not for long.

- Hello, it is a pleasure to be here representing Vivere Architecture & Construction...

I heard her rehearse what appeared to be a speech. And look what a coincidence, she was Marina, the same one that everyone kept talking about with me every single time, also the same one that filled my email box always with the same question about her project approval, and it was a very interesting project by the way. It showed how creative, visionary and talented she was. There was something about her drawings that reminded me of Pietro's drawings which was perhaps why my old father liked her so much. She was good, I couldn't deny it and now, being close to her and the fact of being able to associate the name with the person, made me anxious and very curious to know more about her.

The pilot's voice brought me out of my daydreams, which reminded me that the plane would be taking off soon, and that meant I still had a little time to send a few more emails before I had to put the devices in airplane mode.

I tried to relax a little after finishing and realized that I had kicked something on the floor when I moved to store my laptop. It was a chocolate bar, maybe Marina dropped it when she dropped the handbag on me.

- Excuse me, I think this is yours. - I said when I touched his shoulder. She had fallen asleep, which now made sense the reason she was so silent.

- Thanks. - she said. Almost hesitating to take the chocolate bar from my hand.

Her expression was difficult to understand, she seemed to be quite confused. I decided to invest in the conversation anyway, something about her was making me curious and I wanted to know more about her, for some reason I needed to know more.

- I would like to apologize to you for earlier, apparently I was kind of rude to you. - I said in the most polite way possible. And it was quite amusing to see the expression of astonishment growing more and more on her face. She even stammered before answering me. Oh boy, this could be very fun. It would definitely be a good pastime to entertain myself with her during the long hours of flight.

She apologized for the bag incident and was visibly disturbed when I mentioned that she was not one of the people that I ever wanted to shoot with my eyes. She seemed to have no idea of who I was, which was not strange at all, as I was not a social media guy and I was not the advertising face of Vivere Architecture & Constructions. So I decided to introduce myself as Enzo, this was a nickname I hadn't used in a few years and she introduced herself as Nina, which was a very interesting nickname for Marina. The conversation did not work out as I would have liked, she seemed to be quite uncomfortable and soon turned around, giving me no more opportunities for making anymore questions. I confess I was a little disappointed that things didn't go as I wanted because I was still very intrigued and curious to know more about her.

I was still a little uneasy when I saw her get up and walk towards the bathroom, and I couldn't resist the temptation to look at her ass and man, she had a fine ass.

When I looked ahead again, I met the look of an old little man who also could not resist the temptation to look at Marina's butt. I laughed and nodded at him as I saw him being lightly punched by the little old woman aside from him.

I didn't know why I was so restless and uncomfortable but I understood that it could be because of her. Fuck it. I got up on impulse without knowing exactly what I was doing and just decided to follow her. I might as well pretend I was asking the flight attendant for something if we ran into each other back there.

I was right behind her, so close that I could smell her perfume, it was a bit of a sweet fragrance but not to the point of being nauseating, at the bottom it reminded me of cinnamon. I wasn't sure if the scent came from his perfume itself or from his incredibly voluminous hair which were incredible, they molded around his face giving her a powerful presence.

Marina didn't seem to have noticed me, at least not yet. That's when the fucking plane started shaking in an extremely violent way. Gravity did its job and I was practically thrown at her. Damn turbulence! She flew into the bathroom and hit her head when she fell flat on her face. I ran to get her up, afraid that she had been hurt badly.

This is the beginning of Enzo's point of view.

How excited are you to know what he thinks about Nina?
