Daniel's POV
I raised my hand and placed it on top of hers. I took her hand in mine and smiled.
- I'm so happy that you woke up.-I said in a whisper.
She didn't move. She didn't remove her hand from mine either.
I brought her hand to my forehead. -I thought I would lose you.- I said still afraid that she would disappear.
-....- She did not answer.
I looked up and she looked at me in surprise. As if it wasn't normal for someone to treat her like this.
"Why are you doing this?" She asked in a whisper.
I smiled weakly.- Because...
The sound of someone entering suddenly interrupted me.

LINSEY'S POV
His gaze was warm. I felt no fear or insecurity when I saw his eyes. It was like sitting in the middle of a valley covered with grass and flowers. Calm. Silent.
His green eyes looked at me with intensity. But it didn't bother me. Nor his hands that caressed mine carefully.
"Is this ok?" I asked myself.
He brought my hands up to his forehead.
"I thought I would lose you," he said softly.
That he would lose me? Was he afraid of losing me?
I looked at him confused.
I didn't get it.
The people around me always wish that I would disappear. That I wasn't enough and I was just a mistake.
No one was afraid of losing me. Not this way.
Alexander just wanted to possess me. But this boy... This man... He was afraid of losing ME. Not with feelings of possessiveness or dominance.
My heart skipped a beat. For an instant, I felt important, needed.

He was about to answer me when a guy slammed the door open.
- Yo, get your ass up, your parents are coming. - Said the boy. Although he seemed Daniel's age.
Black hair, honey-colored eyes, and pale skin. He looked more like a vampire than a werewolf.
- Huh? Tom?-Daniel asked with a certain disappointment in his voice.
- You look like a dog who's had its bone taken away. Hah.- The boy, apparently called Tom, showed a mocking smile.
- HAH?! YOU CALLED ME DOG?! - Asked (or rather shouted) Daniel with annoyance.
A conversation of mockery and annoyance formed between the two of them.
Tom mocking and Daniel getting upset.
It was obvious that they had been together for a long time.
Then I saw how Tom gave Daniel a slap in the head.
- Hey, remember that your parents are coming.- Daniel was going to hit him back but he was stopped bye Tom's words before.
He thought for a moment and then turned to see me with a big smile on his face.
- I should introduce you to my parents!- he said smiling.

I looked at Tom who was looking at Daniel with a disappointed face.
I then returned my gaze to Daniel who was still having a smile on his face.

The last time I met my mate's parents, I was forced to reject him and be rejected.
Even though I'm not transformed, I still feel the pain. Maybe weaker than you should feel, but it's there.
I'm not saying that Daniel shouldn't reject me and that I want to stay with him for the rest of my life. But he... he has been the only one to treat me so lovingly since my father's death.
- No.- I said in a whisper with my head down.

- Huh? - I heard Daniel ask. - Why? Don't you want to meet them?- He asked approaching me.
I shook my head.
I looked into his eyes and saw disappointment in his eyes and a little irritation.
That startled me.
- You... You are the alpha of the Black Moon pack.- I said directing my eyes to my hands.
"That's right…" he answered and I could hear a hint of confusion in his voice.
- And I... I'm a rogue.- I pronounced and I could feel a lump in my throat.
- I know.- he said, sitting next to me on the chair. -And what of that?- He asked with some annoyance.
- Daniel.- I said with fear.- You can't introduce me as you mate.- I said directly.
He stood up suddenly and the chair fell over.
- Why not?!- He asked with a louder voice.
I shrunk on instinct. He was angry.
- A rogue can't be the mate of an alpha.- I said, without backing down.
- Hah!- He let out a mocking laugh. - Is that why you don't want to meet my parents?- He asked irritably.
I didn't dare to look up.
-It would be better if you told me directly that you want to reject me.- His words were full of anger and sadness.
I heard as he left the room and slammed the door shut.
I looked up and Tom was still standing there.
-Eh... I'm sorry.- he said and left behind Daniel.
I sighed and put my hands on my head.
I was shaking. But not for fear of Daniel.
More like... Afraid that he'll be the one to reject me.
I laughed mockingly.
What was I worrying about now?
DANIEL'S POV
From 1 to 100 of how stupid I am, I think I'm a 99.

Will she hate me now?
-You're a fool.- Zarich said with annoyance.
I know. :'c
I sighed.
I shouldn't have yelled at her.
I shouldn't have spoken mockingly.
I shouldn't have slammed the door shut.

Wattpad stories don't tell me what to do in these situations.
- You are very silly.-
-I know.- I replied
I turned surprised and saw Tom looking at me with disappointment.
- I never expect anything from you and yet you manage to disappoint me. -he said while shaking his head.
- Shut up.- I replied annoyed.
Although he is right.
- Hey. Your parents arrive in 20.- he said.
- Hah.... They really come at the worst times.- I replied tired.
Tom came over and put his arm around my shoulder.
-Remember to apologize to the Moon after seeing your parents.- he told me pointing his index finger at me.
I nodded firmly.
-About the preparations for the arrival of your parents, they are half done, just confirm a few things.- Tom said checking his phone.
- Tooom- I hugged him amicably pretending to cry.
-Get off, you you infect the stupidity- he said separating me.
- Huh, what a diva.- I told him and he just looked at me with annoyance.
About ten minutes passed and there was less time for my parents to arrive.
I wonder how Linsey is doing.
I'm worried that she had another fit.
-And now it would be your fault.- Zarich said annoyed.
I called a young female employee who was passing by and asked her to check on Linsey every so often and ask if she needed anything.
The girl nodded and walked away from me.
I wanted her to meet my parents.
But I understood why she was afraid.

My fear won over my own reasoning.
The sound of the door woke me from my thoughts.
My parents came in and Tom and I went over to say hello.
POV LINSEY.
I was thirsty.
No one had come back to the room so it was hard to ask someone to bring me a glass of water.

I got out of bed and put on the low shoes that were on the side of the bed.
I walked to the door slowly. I went out trying to make the slightest noise with the door and found myself in a rather long corridor.
Almost at the end of it there seemed to be some stairs leading down.
I walked over there and down the stairs.
More doors.
From the largest one seemed to come many voices.
I decided to avoid that one, considering that it might be Daniel and his parents.
I walked a little further and there was a door that looked like a kitchen door.
I went in, and indeed, it was a kitchen.
I took a glass and poured myself water.
Now back.
I walked to the front door.
- I think it's time for you to travel to other packs.- I heard the voice of an older man.
- That i what? - Daniel's voice was heard.
- It's time for you to find your mate.- a woman now said.
- Ha? No, wait... I!
I tried to move away from the door, not wanting to hear more.
I feel my foot catch on something and I fall against the door as it opens.
Everyone in the room looks at me in surprise.
- Who are you? - asks the woman approaching me.
I look at Daniel.
- Help - I formulate with my lips without letting out a sound.
- SHE IS MY MATE! - that idiot shouts... I mean Daniel.
I DIDN'T MEAN THAT.
