Chapter 8: Brawl in the Dining Hall!

I walked toward the Dining Hall, searching for my pink-eyed soon to be murder victim. I was fuming, and the testosterone boost I got from my interaction with Dya was a potent mix with the adrenaline rushing through my veins.

I was shaking on my legs, my fist clenched into a ball of anger. I saw Dender sitting at his previous spot, sitting with his back toward me.

Perfect.

I walked up to him, making sure that he would not hear me. I squatted down and pulled the chair from under him. He fell straight on his sancrum.

I did not allow him to cry out in pain, because I smashed the chair on his head to smithereens.

''YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE! I AM GOING TO FUCKING MURDER YOU!''

I yelled as I kicked against his body. It did not do much though. He was wearing a leather vest and he was at least 15 kilograms heavier than I am.

He grabbed me by the foot and looked at me with a psychotic grin.

''So you are not a girl after all. Good to know, Heiro!''

After saying that he twisted my foot.

Normally I would be able to take something like that, but my feet were still sensitive so I gave in and twirled through the air. I landed on my back and got up back to my feet.

Dender was bleeding from his skull, with a big gnarly gash running across his scalp. There was blue blood running out of the open wound. Which shocked me deeply.

''You are not human, are you Dender?''

I asked as calmly as I could. He started to laugh, wiping away the cobalt blood from his face.

''No, no I am not Heiro. I am completely something else, zhehaha!''

We glared at each other with vicious intent. One of us was not going to leave this room alive. And I was going to make sure that I will be the winner, by any means necessary.

Before either of us had the chance to unleash our desire to paint the Dining Hall in Cobalt and Crimson, respectively, the guards arrived. Brandishing tower shields and heavy clubs. They were wearing scale mail, made of glistening silvered steel.

All of them had bright red eyes.

They surrounded the both of us and the captain arrived. The captain was the man who showed me the correct bathroom.

He nodded at me with a hint of sympathy, making sure his underlings nor Dender would take note of his slight gesture. He yelled at the both of us that fighting in the Dining Hall was unacceptable.

And that both of us will be taken to our respective rooms for house arrest; I did not mind though, I was looking forward for some peace and quiet.

It was a bummer that I would not have the chance to see Dya, Val or Hysta before leaving.

''NOT ON MY WATCH!!"

The entire room became filled with a booming aura, making the cutlery and plates vibrate on the tables.

Princess Dyamaetreia Dolovia entered the Dining Hall with glowing Yellow eyes. She gave Dender a glare that would have killed a lesser man.

''Heiro is in his absolute right to act in the way he did! Dender tricked him into going to the girls bathroom. I would have responded in the same way, maybe even more severe!

Now, I command Geor Dender to leave this Dining Hall! And the next course will be served in the Great Hall!

The Guards will remain here while Heiro and I eat here in private! These are my orders as your acting regent of the Dolovian Kingdom!

IS THAT UNDERSTOOD?!''

The guards let go of Dender and me. I did not let him out of my sight until the guards forced him out of the Hall.

The other guests were shaking in their fancy shoes. They left silently to the Great Hall where they would finish their dinner. The servant girls cleaned up the mess that Dender and I had made during our fight.

I felt light headed. I stumbled towards an unbroken chair and sat down. Dya dropped the act of regality and walked over to me.

She checked my eyes for pupil dillation. We were staring for a brief moment until she looked away shyly.

''That was.. very stupid of you, you stupid hero..''

Her cheeks became flushed.

''Stupid, and also very brave.''

She started to cry and hugged me with passion.

''Don't do those things; you don't know what that.. thing is capable of.''

I hugged her back and stroked her long auburn hair. She calmed down a bit and stood up straight.

''Normally I should have punished you for your misconduct. You broke the rules of the Kingdom, but.. because you saved me in the bathroom I will let it slide, for now..''

She trailed my chin with her hand. I think I landed on it, because it felt a bit bruised. I winced in pain, and felt the sore spot. It was not bloody. And there was no blood in my mouth. I sighed in relief.

"Do you think you can still eat? The next course will be coming soon. I made sure that there is enough for the both of us.''

I moved my jaw, and felt my stomach.

''I could eat.''

Dya took my hand and guided me to a comfortable sofa. It was filled with pillows and it looked really soft. I did not notice it before.

The Princess loosened her belt to make herself as comfy as possible. She took off the top layer of her dress. Revealing a form fitting tunic underneath, more Lilac or Mauve than Purple. It really suited her.

She lay down on the couch, inviting me to join her. I lay down with her. While the servants brought us food, a wide variety of sausages and other meats.

She inspected my bruise a bit better. I took of my padded vest. Although it was almost midnight, the fight had warmed me up pretty well.

So I was now in my pants and a linnen shirt. Dya hinted at me that she wanted to inspect me for further injuries, so I took of my shirt as well.

She bit her lower lip, evidently liking what she saw, she pulled me closer toward her. Trailing my muscles with her fingers. Poking and searching for any form of bruise or wound.

My shoulderblades were a bit scraped due to our fall in the bathroom. She giggled when she thought about what we did. With a playful smile she ordered the servants to leave us to our devices.

They left without saying a word, except for one girl whom I did not recognise. Maybe it is just me being bad with faces.

She had grey eyes with, light blonde, almost white hair. Her skin was slightly tanned, so she was not an albino.

''Any last request, my lady?''

The Princess smiled and asked for a carafe of wine and two wine glasses.

"I know that you are underage, but we aren't as strict with alcohol as in your world, Heiro.''

She laughed while she fed me a sausage, it tasted like spiced beef sausage.

''And you will need some painkillers, otherwise you won't be able to sleep tonight."

I chewed as carefully as I could, when I was done I said:

''Even if it was illegal, you could just.. I don't know.. make it legal?''

She laughed and pulled me in a warm hug. I returned the hug and while doing so I was confronted with how battered up I was.

I laid down on my back, burried in a pile of pillows. Dya crashed next to me, eating a sausage. She hinted at me to take a bite. I did, and while I did she did as well. Our lips made contact. She tasted like garlic and sausage.

At least it wasn't fish.
