- Tell us everything that you saw, what the attackers looked like, what they talked about, any little things, - said a man of about thirty, with short black hair and eyes of the same color. He was wearing an officer's uniform, on which several medals were attached to the left side of his chest.

Eros looked at Kagura, who looked down and almost cried. He smiled softly and began stroking her head, and when their gazes met, the titan nodded. Only after that did she begin to tell ...

- That's how it is, thanks for telling me, - Thomas said thoughtfully, he looked at the girl and called one of the knights into the office, - Do you like sweets? He asked Kagura with a slight smile.

As soon as the girl left the office, Thomas sighed and closed his eyes.

- This is not the first time, is it? - asked Eros, looking into the tired eyes of the officer. During the story, the titan did not see a bit of surprise on Thomas's face.

- So it is, - he said with a sigh, - This is the third time in the last year.

- And for a whole year, you could not catch them?

- They choose their goals according to several criteria: first - as far from the nearest city as possible, second - as close to the sea as possible. But there are hundreds of such villages, and we do not have so many people to scatter them, and it is not known when they will attack again.

- And turn to the advice personally, what would they help?

- I just told you their answer, - the officer said, grimacing, - After all, until we give them their exact location, they won't lift a finger.

It has been three days since Eros began to study the case. He tried to find some pattern in the attacks in order to then determine their next target, but the titan did not find anything. The last two facts were correct, they chose the villages that were farthest from the cities and closer to the sea. So that, firstly, help could not come quickly if the residents somehow manage to report, secondly, the destroyed village was discovered as late as possible, and thirdly, a quick way to escape, that is, by sea.

Although one thing alarmed Eros - is that everything went smoothly. He simply doubted that they were attacking blindly, not knowing in advance about the situation in the village. Therefore, Eros had a hunch that most likely they were studying the village in advance, and then realizing that there was no danger, they attacked. Later, after questioning Kagura, he found out quite interesting news that three days before the attack, a strange group of people came to their village, they began to inquire about the village and three days later they attacked it.

After talking about this with Thomas, Eros suggested not to declare these people on the wanted list for now, so as not to frighten them off, but to send one rune knight disguised as an ordinary inhabitant to each of the villages suitable for the condition. So they will be able to detect enemies in advance and capture them. The officer fully supported the plan, but was able to allocate only fifty people for such a long-term mission. After all, it is not known when they are going to attack again.

Having received from Thomas the lacrima connection, Eros's team left the city and went on. The Titan did not decide to stay in Margaret for a long time and immediately moved on.

Yet they were three months late according to Eros's plan. The next place they had to visit was the Village of the Sun, home to the Titan race - massive humanoid creatures that are dozens of times taller than humans.

When Eros drew up the plan, he was not going to include this village there until he saw the word "titan". The Titan was very surprised and began to search as much as possible about her records, and when he found a description of the people there, he was very disappointed. After all, at first, he thought that it might be someone from his race who also got to this place. But still, Eros decided to visit the village because of the eternal flame, which is often described in books as "the purest flame" and many fire magicians come to the village to try a chance to subdue it, or at least temper and purify their flame. But for any magician, the path to it is forbidden, because the tribe considers this flame to be the sacred defender of the village and only one thing awaits anyone who encroaches on it ... death!

Two weeks later, they reached their destination.

- Wow! - Rick exclaimed in surprise, looking from behind a tree at the entrance to the village, which was guarded by two giants, similar to Vikings with helmets on which there was a pair of horns. In their hands they held a club.

Due to the fact that the village was located on a small slope, with several large rocky mountains around the village, part of the village could be seen. All buildings were mainly built of stone in the medieval style and were small, one-story. The village itself was surrounded by a stone wall and there was only one entrance.

- How are you going to get into the village? - Lily asked with interest, examining the two giants at the entrance, - They must be very strong, and there are several hundred more in the village ...

- Who said I was going to fight?

- Is not it so?

- I'm not an idiot and not some bloodthirsty guy," Eros exclaimed with condemnation in his voice.

- Sorry…

- I'm kidding, - he looked at the village again and smiled, - I'm going to get there so that they wouldn't see me, it's not in vain that I spent almost a million precious ones on this thing, - stroking the ring, said Eros, in the next moment, it lit up and the titanium disappeared right before our eyes.

- What happened? Kagura asked in surprise, looking around. "Where is he?" - with concern, she began to look around until she felt something stroking her cheek, - What ... ?! But before she could finish, Kagura felt something clamped over her mouth. Her eyes filled with fear.

- Don't shout, it's me, - Eros said with glee, lowering the panting girl, who, with tears in her eyes, looked at the empty space behind her, - Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, - he said, appearing guiltily.

Lily went to Kagura, hugged her and looked at Eros with anger.

- This is how I'm going to get in there and I'll do it at night, but for now, let's set up camp and wait.

In the evening, Eros activated the ring and disappeared, and Eros hid the magic power with the help of another ring. For two weeks, he managed to update the runes and now it almost completely hid his magical power. Yet its gigantic amount of magical power is very difficult to hide. But for these giants, who mostly use only brute force and who understand almost nothing about magic, they are unlikely to notice him.

Eros moved quickly and after a few seconds climbed over the wall and began to make his way through the giant buildings bypassing patrols, he very quickly approached the tallest building, behind which is the mountain, on which the Eternal Flame is supposedly located.

When Eros made his way very deep into the village, he felt that something was amiss, because suddenly everything became quiet. At that moment, he was surrounded by about ten giants.

- Little one, you underestimate us too much, since you think that having become invisible, we will not notice you, - the giant in armor said, grinning, that stood in front of Eras.

Eros had no choice but to remove invisibility.

- Yes, you are quite a child, - he said, frowning, - Go away, we are not so merciless as to kill children, - but the next moment, his gaze became firm, - But if you try to go further, then do not blame us for ruthlessness ...

Behind Eros, the titans parted, opening a passage through which he could pass. But he shook his head and looked directly into the giant's eyes.

- I just need a small piece of eternal flame and I will leave.

As soon as they heard his answer, all the warriors' eyes filled with rage, they tightened their grip on the weapon in their hands. Only the giant in front of Eros was calm.

- Are you sure, child, there will be no turning back?

- I am grateful and understand that you want the best, but I need this flame, - Eros released his strength, making the earth tremble, and the giants tense up and prepare for an imminent battle.

But when the battle was about to begin, everyone in the village heard a voice ... It made everyone who was near the village and in it tremble. The giants turned to the mountain and threw down their weapons, fell to their knees and bowed.
