97 All too familiar

At first it was pure darkness.

Too dark like he had been blindfolded, but he knew he wasn't. It was pure darkness that he couldn't even see the silhouette of his own hand.

Then there was pure white.

His surroundings were completely white, even his clothes were also white. He didn't even see a shadow appear under him where he stood. It was void of sound and voices, the only thing he could hear was his own breathing.

These two sensations repeated inexplicably. They shifted back and forth until he felt himself losing his touch of reality. It was black, suddenly it was white. Rinse and repeat.

Then he heard a laugh.

Small chuckle that later turned into maniac cackles. They sounded like a manifestation of laughs and cries, but it leaned more towards the latter, and it took him a while to realize-- that they came out from his own mouth.

Crazy.

He felt like going crazy.

He had gone insane.
