Joining A Unit
Li Rin glared at the man as he followed him. The man led him out of the castle. Li Rin was following the man to the location he was familiar with. He walked to the training area. The man stopped by the entrance, "We are here." Li Rin looked at the familiar building and asked, "Why have you brought me here?"
"I want to see your actual level. I am curious how you compare to the other men. Follow me," Li Rin followed the king who opened the doors and walked inside. Li Rin inside saw the faces he saw many times before. He saw these men all the time training. Even though he knew them by their faces. He has never talked to any one of them.
When the two stood in front of them. They all bowed their heads and spoke in unison, "We greet his majesty!" The king nodded, "Do the training routine for me. Today you will be joined by this human brat." The man turned to Li RIn, "Go On join them. I am sure the general taught you the routine." Li Rin nodded his head.
One of the men looked over at Li Rin and spoke, "Come here and stand in formation." Li Rin looked towards this man and approached. The man nodded, "I am commander Re Ni. You will be doing a thousand punches, thousand kicks and fifty laps. Get in line with the men. I will announce the start. Since you are the adopted son of the general I am sure you will do fine."
Li Rin walked into the open spot in the formation and stood there in silence. The commander walked in front of the men and commanded, "A thousand punches!" With the order of the commanded each and every man started to punch out. The commander glanced at Li Rin and surprise flashed in his eyes, "Such good posture and such clean technique." The man nodded his head. The king watched Li Rin as he punched one time ten times. A smile crept on his face when he saw that Li Rin managed to do a thousand punches without a single change in expression. He was surprised to see that the first punch and the thousandth punch were the same. WIthout any change.
The commanded looked Li Rin surprised, "Just as expected out of general's adopted son. Even if he is a filthy human"
The commander cleared his throat, "Thousand Kicks!" With the shout of the commander. The men jumped up and performed the proper kick off the Ryio people. Li Rin performed a normal human kick. The commander frowned and looked at Li Rin. He stopped everyone, "What was that kick?" Li RIn looked at the commander, "I can't do the jump kick." The man frowned, "What do you mean you can't?" Li Rin shook his head, "No matter how much I tried. It was impossible for me."
The king looked at Li Rin, "Show it." Li Rin glanced back and nodded his head. Li Rin took a deep breath. He jumped into the air and tried moving his body. When he did it he once again fell onto the ground. The king nodded his head, "That's fine though. The mission I will be sending you will need you to blend in. So just do the normal human kicks."
Li Rin narrowed his eyes at the man and nodded his head. The commanded as well said,"Since you have the permission of the king proceed."
Li Rin with the permission of the king he wanted to kill did the kicks. Once again he did the kicks smoothly. The commander was surprised at the little human child. The other soldiers also couldn't help but respect him. They respected him so that he a child could keep up with them.
The commander looked over his men and a small child and said, "Well done. Now the last part of basic training go run fifty laps!" The men one by one turned right and ran after one another. Li Rin was the last one to follow. The king looked at Li Rin he wondered if the child would be able to finish all the laps without losing breath.
Li Rin like all the soldiers ran without a change of expression. When the commander saw this sight. The commander looked at Lin RI and sweat formed on his forehead. He thought, "Isn't he only a small child? How is this possible?" Li Rin had finished all fifty laps and when they were finished his breathing had no change.
The king nodded his head, "Good." The king glanced at Lin Ri, "From this day on. You will join this unit. You are now part of the army." The king smiled and thought, "For the next three years you will live with this unit. In three years your mission will begin. With your aid, all the other races fall in line. Ryio will rule all. Divine continent and all the other continents will be ours!"
The king looked at the commander, "So as you have heard. He is part of your unit From now on his your responsibility. If he steps out of line you will pay with your head. Discipline him well."
The commander Re Ni bowed his head, "I understand, your majesty!" The king smiled and left the building. The commander Re Ni looked at Li Rin, "Do you want to go home for today or will you start training with your brothers today?" Li Rin looked at the commander and said, "I will begin training from today." He thought, "Every second counts. I have to get strong enough to kill the king. Strong enough to break his control!"
The commander nodded his head,"Alright. Go and stand in line" Li Rin nodded his head and stood in the open spot. The commander looked over his men and shouted, "From today on we have one more brother join us. Remember live as a unit and die as a unit. You all pay for the failure of one. With that in mind five thousand punches, five thousand kicks and five hundred laps!"
