3 Chapter Pov Vailein

Finally it's my 5th birthday. Each child at the age of 5 will go to a specific warehouse. Inside the warehouse there are rows after rows of shelves filled with Poke-eggs. All current found types are available but if a Pokemon is considered rare you have to pay and reserve the wanted egg beforehand. I pre ordered mine just to be sure they have it, though apparently that wasn't needed.

When in the warehouse I took my time to stroll around. the rows of eggs that are present are very impressive. When I try to walk in between a worker quickly stops me. It turns out that because of the fragility of the eggs you have to be guided by a worker. The worker guided me to a PC in this one I can look through all the Pokemon available. scrolling through all of them to see what each egg of my wanted team will cost. After a lot of thinking I managed to establish a dream team for me, I need 12 Pokemon for that. This time I bought a Houndour, a dog like Pokemon with a Dark and fire attribute. People still seems to believe in old religions and stigmata. Houndour have a stigma of evil because the resemble a hell hound after evolution, thus they have plenty of eggs.

At home I, together with my mom Thinee and dad Listric, read the manual for the incubator. Today is the first time I actually heard people say my parents name. The incubator works pretty simple, after pressing a button the stasis fluid drains. Then you just have to keep it warm and it'll hatch in about a month. This whole month I kept the Poke-egg close by, I dragged it everywhere where I went and held it in my sleep.

Mav and I where at the daycare about to graduate to elementary school when both of our Poke-eggs started showing signs of hatching. We quickly called for one of the caretakers to help us get our Pokemon out of the incubators. Both of our Pokemon hatched within a minute of each other. Mine was a Houndour but I was surprised by Mav's Pokemon, a Torchic. Mav proudly tells me how he got the Pokemon Torchic. In the warehouse Torchic was special ordered by a ranger trainer to compliment his team. Sadly the ranger together with his whole team got killed on his last mission before he managed to pick up Torchic, so they had the egg. With a minimum extra payment Mav was able to take the super rare (or royal) Torchic egg with him.

Houndour sticks very close, even if it wants to rest it waits till I sit down. With the help of the caregivers our Pokemon are fed for the first time, mostly liquids with needed nutrients. We both had the food for our Pokemon at home but didn't expect that it would hatch on the daycare, luckily our parents thought of the possibility and handed a days worth of Poke-food to the daycare. The rest of the time at the daycare I brush my Pokemon clean and play with Houndour. The others in the daycare are curious and try to play with our Pokemon too. The first few get a minor attack from both our Pokemon, seems they are slightly afraid of the energetic children. After a little wile we notice our Pokemon becoming overwhelmed and recall both our Pokemon to a Poke-ball. As soon as we are left alone we re-release our Pokemon and let them sleep. Mav and I go back to our training but make sure we make as little noise as possible.

Houndour is fast asleep and only wakes up when we arrive at home. When Houndour woke up I warm up a bottle of milk with added nutrients to feed Houndour. Houndour happily ate. After diner, I play tag with Houndour in the garden. During the next week my training times at the daycare changed into playing with Houndour, both tag and tug of war. The learning period is changed to having Houndour learning basic dog commands such as sit, lay down and come here. My days where fulfilling. After a week Houndour slowly got it's teeth and it's diet changed to small pieces of raw meat and some momo milk.

After two weeks Houndour is fed with chunks of meat. The meat comes from Pokemon we've hunted during our morning runs, sometimes we go trough a park here we get small bug Pokemon, sometimes we run through suburbs and hunt rodent and bird Pokemon. I added a backpack to my outfit on my back it never goes off except during sleep, it's not comfortable but I have to get used to it in advance. The wild Pokemon we come across in the city are very common, but great practice targets for Houndour. Our prey go into the bag so I can prepare them for consumption. I learned how to cook from my mother but Houndour prefers the meat raw.

At first Houndour tried to use his yaws to capture them, but since there is a distance and Houndour is young, this makes Houndour not fast enough for that yet. So after some attempts Houndour spewed fire in frustration, since he is young he barely fires a few embers, just enough that it made the target panic, this slowed it down just enough for Houndour to catch up and to snap it's jaw on the other's neck. After a few weeks of practicing his hunting Houndour got faster. Houndour started to enhance it's jaw with dark energy forming a bite attack. Now since it has a feeling for both types we try to gain more control over those energies.

After a month when Houndour hatched, me and Mav graduated past our current 'daycare' into elementary school. Here there are lessons pertaining Pokemon types, how to get a feel for the energy, what kind of attacks there are, how to catch or gain new Pokemon, how to make a diet plan. Basically it's the foundation of what a Pokemon trainer is about. Of course there are also lessons on writing, history, geography, science, technology etc. The ranking for both trainers and Pokemon are also touched.

During the elementary school of Vailein, Houndour is not sitting still and doing nothing. Houndour practices his fire ability to spew more embers to make the attack an actual threat. The embers do fly in all directions with little to no control what they hit. Luckily for Vaileins the school motivates the Pokemon to train and has the proper field for it, if not he might have burned the school down.
