Worlds Demonic Battlefront

Before, it was a peaceful earth. There were no powers. No one was special. There were no conflicts. Maybe besides a few wars here and there. Then it was opened. Demons came into our world. We fought back. We weren’t enough. Until the first person to awaken their manifest came forward. Its been over a hundred years since this war began. That is where we meet our main character, Konpeki Seiryu, who’s parents sacrificed themselves for him. With his “unknown” manifest, will he be able to drive the demons back? Or will inner conflict disrupt his journey?

Volume 1, Chapter 9 - "The Raid" Pt 2

"Please call me Vlad. So, I take it that Yoru told you where I was?"

"Was she not supposed to?"

"Yes, but my plan will work out anyways, knowing that you'll be the first person watching."

"Why are you doing this? Yoru told me that you, as a whole, were once a peaceful race that coexisted with humans."

"Ah, she told you that story. Very interesting. Do you want to know something? We came from another world. One very similar to this one. Actually, they are identical to each other."

Another world that's identical with ours?

"I don't understand."

"It's fine. You never did understand a thing." He turned his body.

"Huh?" I gave a confused look. He talks as if he knows me personally. I wonder if someone from his world was similar to me?

"Anyways, no hard feelings but I've been told to not kill you, but to hurt you where it hurts most. Do you remember 7 years ago?"

"Why do you want to know about what happened 7 years ago?" Why 7 years ago? Was he somehow involved with the incident? I gave him a death stare.

"Hmm. From the look of your face, you do remember. The walls that guard your nation let a few demons through. I was involved with that. I was the one who killed your parents."

"What? That's not true, one of the 72 demon king monarchs killed my parents."

"Of course, I didn't mean directly, but indirectly. I was also there when your parents died. I watched everything. How a young 10 year old boy was scarred and how his parents died."

My mind was all over the place. I was confused at everything he told me. I was getting angry for some reason. I shouldn't be. I had gotten over that fact.

"Shut up!"

"Oh no, no, no, no, no. I remember that scar "He" gave you. It excited me! I believe you still have it right?"

"Aaaaaaargh" I dashed towards the grinning man bloodlusted, ready to kill, sword in hand.

[CLAAAAANG!]

As the earth around them shatters due to the shockwaves of the clashing of blades, the two dash around the enormous room that is the underground stadium creating mini craters. Vlad deflects Konpeki Seiryu's blade without fail.

"Ahh. You've gotten faster and stronger! Good! Keep going!"

[BLOOD ARTS, CERBERUS CLAW]

Claws begin to reach out from the ground trying to grab hold of Seiryu while he dodges the numerous claws using a form of acrobatics to back away, getting some distance between the two.

I can't get close to him at all like this let alone land a good hit. He keeps deflecting it with his steel claws, and his strength is far more superior to mine. I cant use any of my abilities besides my Mystic Eyes which helped with the Cerberus Claws.

"What's wrong? You look backed off! Are you planning something?" He crossed his arm while asking.

My attacks aren't doing anything, and my abilities are useless unless he is the one attacking me. Second Singularity, Effect and Cause is useless against ranged attacks. I do have another ability, its essentially the same but for ranged attacks. Unfortunately its still in the works. My only other option is the–

"Oi what are you planning?" Vlad asked, standing, looming over me.

My eyes widened. He was just a distance away. He closed the distance between us in just a split second and my eyes were just on him.

"Hmm, I guess you, planning something, was the correct answer."

He then pulled his arm back with his fist clenched and punched my stomach, knocking the air out and making me reject my bodily contents out, and knocking me into the wall behind me which was in fact a fair distance away.

"Uuuugh." That hurt.

 (In Konpeki Seiryu's home)

"Hmm, I wonder if he's gonna be alright?"

"I think he'll be fine, Sagiri."

The blonde, haired Ina assured the dark, blue haired Sagiri that everything was fine at the dining table. Hopefully.
