6 The lonely man.

Again the moon visited the gloomy mansion, it lightens the forest and the towering trees were in their branches holds an owl.

The sound of twigs being stepped echoed, a thin man appeared in the view, his face had scratches and appeared dirty.

"These big trees your branches are hugging me." Laughed the man he continues to walk while touching his messy red hair like a fire that's been swaying in the wind.

Noticing something on his right side, he glanced. And his pure eyes like that of a child saw an ant climbing to the tree. He put his hand on the tree then the ant who was climbing stepped on his hand, he pulled his hand out of the tree and whisper to the ant. "This cold night you are alone, let me accompany you as I too am alone."

The ant keep walking on his hands, he didn't mind it and when suddenly a mansion appeared in his sight. "It seems we found a place to stay in haha!" Laughed the man as he winks at the ant on his hand and approaches the mansion.

Fang zheng who fall asleep in the chair was awoken by something.. "that cat where did it go." He whispers as his eyes darted around the room.

Then he notices a man approaching his mansion, bewildered he asked the system. "System why you didn't notify me that there is a guest!"

[ System: that was because the host was a noob, now that you are proficient in scaring you can figure this out, spread your wings, young man! ]

"Wings your face!" Fang zheng then glanced outside and didn't saw the man. "He probably got in." He got up from the chair and made his way downstairs.

Where is bai ze? He is playing with the thin man! As the thin man approach the mansion he notices the door was opened, he bowed his head to pay respects then proceed to go inside.

Inside although quiet, a plump cat is sitting on the tattered couch. "Haha look ant we got another friend." The thin man was really happy today because he was alone but he found an ant which made him smile, now that there's a cat he can't help but cry.

"Sigh, thank you, god, for making me happy." He prayed to the bottom of his heart. The cat seemed to notice him as it looks in his direction. "Hello! Are you hungry I have leftovers here?" The man said then sat on the couch beside the cat.

Grabbing his dirty bag which had mud sticking to it, he pulled out a tiny bread that seemed it was saved for a couple of days.

Seeing the bread, the man's stomach made a sound that made his face red like an apple. The cat-eyed the tiny bread, and what's funny is the ant also eyed the bread!

"Alright since you guys are my first friend I met today, I'll give these guys to you." The man smiled his lips dried as though he didn't eat for several days.

He divides the tiny bread and gave the slightly bigger to the cat, the small go to the ant. Yet the cat and the ant didn't eat it instead, they look at him like a child showing concern to a mother.

Seeing their gazes the man laughed "haha don't mind me I'm full I just eat earlier!" The cat was staring at the man then proceed to eat the bread placed on the tattered couch. The tiny bread was placed in the man's palm there was the ant-eating it.

Upstairs fang zheng was peering through downstairs and he saw what happened, and it seemed as if someone slices his heart. "This man is kind even giving his only food to the animals." He knew the man gave his only food because earlier the man's stomach was protesting!

As he shed tears silently in the dark he notices a white mist that started to form beside the man. It then manifests into a girl and it mesmerized fang zheng eyes like glued to a beautiful gem!

The girl is around 10 years old, her white long hair like a waterfall which appeared vibrant under the moonlight falls through her shoulder, her skin is pale like pure white clouds her blue eyes like an ocean carrying depth sadness.

She sat on the tattered couch watching the man with love in her eyes, like a child laughing with her dad. She just sat there and the man didn't seem to notice the girl.

"Is she a ghost!?" Fang zheng face changed of course shock at the development of this story. He shouted at the girl. "Hello, who are you?" His voice reached the girl as she looked in his direction, her face also changed but in seconds it reverts to her usual cute smiling face. "Hi... I'm Yu Yan what's your name?" The girl swings her feet as though happy that she can talk to someone.

"I'm fang zheng, why are you watching the man?" Fang asked what on his mind because what if the girl haunts the man? The girl looked at the man and replied with a smile "my papa! I follow him every day and I don't know why he can't see me."

Fang zheng heart cried. His eyes unknowingly dropped a liquid that comes from his heart. Seeing her friend crying she asked showing concern in her voice "are you okay?" Fang zheng wipes his tears and replied like a man who didn't give up no matter what happens. "I'm alright you see the dust on this mansion loves me haha!" Hearing he was okay, the girl laughed and asked him "do you know how I can talk to my papa?"

Hearing this again, fang zheng thought a thousand ideas and finally found one "the legendary red ink!" Thought fang zheng then he approached the girl and said while climbing downstairs "I have an item that can let you write and your papa will see it."

Hearing that the girl beamed with smiles and asked excitedly "ohhh! Show me I will write why papa can't see me." Fang zheng heart was pinched again.. he holds his upcoming tears and whispers to himself "she didn't know she's a ghost? This is hard for me." Fang zheng nods his head and pointed to the room upstairs while saying "alright you can write it on my room so I can see it."

The girl's eyes were pure as she nods and glanced at her papa then nod her head to him as she continued to follow fang zheng upstairs.

The man this time seeing his friends done eating smiled. "Alright ant you go your way and you cat go your way." He lay his hand on the tattered couch and the ant crawls out of his hand. The cat stared at the man at thought asking him what do you mean?

Then under the ant and cat eyes the man grabbed a rope on his bag and whispered "i gotta go.." he stands up and remembered his deceased daughter and wife.

That time they are eating happily like a normal family, but a flood comes from out of nowhere destroying the houses on the villages and the life's of people, he watch his wife and daughter as the flood take their lives, in that moment his heart which were burning with passion slowly dim until it was empty.

He traveled from north to south and east to west trying to get rid of his empty heart, this night at a mansion he had enough.. though his new friends gave his heart a small glimpse of light. But the faces of his wife and daughter always appeared in his mind, like a movie that was being replayed.

Again he glanced at the cat and the ant which were still like a statue. "Live well my friends." Said the man as warm tears flows through his pure eyes.
