Chapter 51

(I used Grammarly for this chapter, any mistakes you see, feel free to point them out and I will correct them. I paid even more attention with the pronouns and read each paragraph as best I could, I hope it was worth the effort and there are no mistakes *Cross your fingers* I hope with all my heart XD)

(POV Protagonist. Place: Top of a mountain. Time: Night. Days after Yshaarj's death. Preparation to continue the war).

I revived as many of the forged as I could, but many simply evaporated in the blast and some had their bodies mangled and scattered in many directions. The numbers of forged were reduced from their initial millions to a mere 3 million today. While that is a large number, there simply aren't as many as there once were.

I sighed sadly. I had tried to save as many of the forged as I could, but my efforts almost seemed to prove futile.

-Life is too fleeting. It just goes to show that in stories where the protagonist manages to save everyone unscathed, they simply aren't real. A beautiful fantasy, that's what they are.....

I was at the top of the great mountain I had created. Doing what after so long has become a habit.

-It's kind of funny, but I never serenaded in my previous life and now in this new universe, I seem to do it constantly... well, I've always been a fan of different kinds of art and I must make the most of my supernatural abilities, especially since it's entertaining. Maybe I can sing some ballads to the obsession of my life. It would be very romantic... wouldn't it?

I laughed as I thought such nonsense.

...

It had been a while since my discussion with the Titans and then the Guardians. I didn't get any blessings, but that was okay, there were still many things to accomplish, like sealing the rest of the Dark Gods.

-There is still a chance. At least they agreed that I could accompany them on their travels through the cosmos. Although it was not so easy to convince Aggramar to allow me to help him... well, at least I got my "arcane form" or, rather, my "Aurelion Sol" form.

Soon I felt Helya approach me.

-It's strange how beings change as a type of magical energy influences their bodies. All magical energies tend to change the appearance and disposition of whoever is affected. Void energy seems to transform everything into a sort of living nightmare, including the constant voices, though I'm not sure if this is just because I gained that power after devouring a "Dark God" and not because of a blessing per se. The light energy seems to fill me with a sense of accomplishment and responsibility, though my appearance doesn't change much, maybe eye color and some other aesthetic things. The elemental energies simply bring me closer to that particular element and the sensations that are proper to each. The arcane energy, on the other hand, seems to lean more towards a more "elegant" kind of aesthetic. The sensations it gives me are closer to a kind of pride regarding my appearance, but I don't know if this is simply because of my own real opinion about how I look or if I am affected in some way... I will simply say that it affects me and that's it, in the end, I can't just admit that I have become a bit narcissistic. On the other hand, I lack the vile energy, but if arcane is already an energy that gives me this feeling of needing more, this addiction to it, I don't want to imagine how it will turn out when I try the most addictive energy of all. Although I am very curious about what will be the appearance of my body in the form of "Dragon Demon".

...

(POV Helya. Moments after the MC sensed her arrival)

I've been learning to use the "Light" with the little dragon. I don't have much knowledge of its uses, so it's helpful to learn it. The Little Dragon tells me that I am a kind of "Priest", "Mage" and that I am the first "dual-class".

As I went upstairs, I listened to his music and his voice singing.

-I like his songs very much, even though they all seem to be sad songs. I once asked him why they all sound like that, and he simply told me it's because the genre of music lends itself to that. I don't get it, but I don't exactly see it as sad. Maybe he's just used to singing them...

As soon as I got to where he was, I saw him looking up at the moon, while the music was still playing.

"Little Dragon" (Helya).

I spoke to him, but he didn't answer me.

"Little Dragon!" (Helya)

I said louder, but he continued to ignore me. I sighed a little and simply said to him.

"Nidhogg" (Helya).

Then the music and his voice stopped and he turned to look at me with a big smile. To which I simply snorted in annoyance.

-Since he decided on his name, he found another way to joke with me.

"Couldn't you at least see me when I call you?" (Helya)

"Where would the fun be if I didn't bother you?" (MC)

He said with a smile.

"Aren't you proud of your new name?" (Helya)

The day he told me he had chosen his name, it was a day he was quite happy. Although I'm not quite sure if it's because of the name or something else.

"I can't deny that I like my name a lot, although it's not such a big deal, why did you come so late, Helya...did you come to listen to me sing, although I admit I thought you didn't like my songs..." (MC)

"If you say so, little dragon... And I never said I didn't like them, I just think you should sing something more cheerful. As for why I came... the Guardians have decided that we will be leaving in a week and I came to let you know." (Helya)

"Mmm, I might give it a try, though I don't know how they turn out, and thanks for letting me know, little one" (MC).

He said with a smile. I have learned to distinguish and understand his expressions after seeing them many times.

"Do you want to listen to a song before you leave?" (MC)

"Well, I have time" (Helya).

"Yeah, I don't think you have much to do anyway, little girl" (MC).

Seeing how he laughed mockingly, I simply waited for him to start his song. I learned that the fewer reactions he gets, the less he'll tease, plus I enjoy teasing him like that. I think he knows that, though.

(Song) (Modern Talking - You're My Heart, You're My Soul)

...

After a while.

I listened to the song carefully and like all of his songs, this one had some pretty unique sounds. As soon as he finished the song, he asked me.

"So...did you like it?" (MC)

His expectant look was quite funny.

"Yes, I quite liked it, but I don't find it very cheerful." (Helya)

"Hahaha, forget it. I can't think of any right now, maybe later" (MC).

"Well, then I guess I'll appreciate the view and the music with you little dragon, in the end, I have nothing else to do right now" (Helya).

"The company doesn't hurt, little one" (MC).

After lying down on his side, I simply began to glimpse the view, while listening to his strange songs with romantic lyrics.

...

(POV MC. Time: Longtime later. Place: Somewhere on the continent)

It wasn't long before we were marching again. Along the march, we destroyed the remaining "Cities/Temples" while defeating and sealing all the "Old Gods". They all fell, one by one, although "Yogg - Saron" was the most troublesome of all. The most "C'Thraxxi" and the most powerful "C'Thrax" were with him, and thanks to that many more forged died that day. The dark magic they used was very great, but thanks to Helya with her great use of light magic she was able to defend and turn the situation around, then Odyn came up with the idea of using magic to confuse them and make them attack Yogg-Saron. In the end, we won, but the cost was not small.

Since the fall of Yogg-Saron, the last "Dark God", a new beginning in the history of Azeroth took place after the fall of the Black Empire, the greatest and darkest moment in the history of this world. After sealing the rest of the Old Gods, for fear that extirpating them as Aman'Thul had done with Y'Shaarj would do more harm to Azeroth, the whole world was left in peace. The darkness that plagued this world and plunged it into darkness, ceased. Much of the darkness was absorbed and purified by me, while the rest disappeared or was simply purified by the Titans or Guardians.

As soon as Yogg-Saron was sealed, and after helping to revive and heal as many as I could, I said goodbye to the forged and to the greatest friend I ever had, Helya. Thanks to me, Helya now had more prominence in the world and it was thanks to her and not Odyn, for whom the victory could be achieved. My participation in that battle was mostly that of an important secondary character, I did this to keep the plot moving forward... something that didn't quite happen.

Putting aside my regrets, at this moment I was in the great wound that had been left after Y'Shaarj was ripped off.

-The sheer amount of arcane energy released by this wound is incredible. Still, I am unwilling to dive into those waters or arcane energies so dense that they look like water. I fear for what might happen to me if I try. It is one thing to devour an Elder God, and indeed, I almost lost several times, and another to face the will of a titan... besides I do not seek to harm Azeroth, so feeding on the energies I exude so freely should be enough and without risking some sort of punishment or imposition of Azeroth's will.

I took a deep breath of the arcane energy-laden air.

"Well, I suppose I'll wait here until the Guardians arrive and take advantage of lowering the levels of magic in the air, as far as I know, it's dangerous if left alone, though I won't absorb everything either and just take what I can. On the other hand, I have found what I believe is Azerite near the future "Well of Eternity" and further away, what I assume is or was Y'Shaarj's blood. Although I am hesitating about absorbing Azerite, at least I have studied its composition, but I still don't understand what makes the blood of the Titans so special, but I can intuit that it is something about their control over the arcane magic that runs through their being and how it deeply imbues their whole body until it is bound to their soul, or as I like to call it, their will" (MC).

I spent days absorbing arcane magic, while I studied Azerite and thought more deeply into the why of its special magical composition, for not for nothing Azerite is an incredibly resistant metal, so much so that it seemed almost indestructible in the game.

...

When I saw the Guardians again, they began to heal the great wound from which arcane magic was oozing, so I simply greeted them and watched their exploits. Thanks to Helya's help, I had learned a lot about how to use arcane magic, but some things I didn't know how to explain, at least not very well. Probably that knowledge came with her birth or she's just a genius. Of course, there could be other reasons, but I didn't particularly care, I just wanted to learn as much as I could, plus in return, I was teaching her how to use light. Helya is the first one I know who has two classes, both are magic casters, but in this case, one of her classes is a mage because of the arcane energies and the other class is a priest, thanks to the light.

On the other hand, it was time to observe how the Guardians organized this world and how nature and life itself followed their course. Although to be honest, I was very excited to observe how the first creatures were born in this world. Soon, I will be able to study those who will be called "Wild Gods". A part of me is already savoring the moment, I just have to wait...

...

In time and after much effort, the great wound in Azeroth became "The Well of Eternity". The amount of time the Guardians invested to heal that wound and keep the arcane energies under control was long but worth it.

-As I recall, the idea is that this well will help encourage life in the world. Seems like a good way to take advantage of Aman'Thul's screw-up to me. But hey, I'm sure it's not just me who noticed this fact.

Author's Note: Hi, how are you, I hope you liked this chapter.

After being sick for a few days and living in disgust of even drinking water, I'm back again. I was planning to do more chapters before finishing this "arc", but I don't think it's necessary to make this part longer. Anyway, I already wrote the essentials, and the next chapters will bring to the world of Azeroth, life, even if this new life is not exactly weak...

Thanks for waiting and for all your good wishes, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart and wish you all the best ^^. As always, I wish you a great day and a good night ^^
