Void Refinement

Inside a major world named the Spirit Ascendance Realm, stood a continent arrogantly named the Spirit Source Continent, and inside the Spirit Source Continent stood a clan without any sort of major significance to anyone outside the continent, named the Xu Clan.

Although in the grand scheme of things, the Xu Clan was not very strong, especially compared to the 'Immortal Clans' rumored to exist at the center of the center of the Spirit Ascendance Realm, the Xu Clan was very much influential on its tiny edge of the realm.

With tens of thousands of Purple Palace Cultivators, hundreds of Golden Core Daoists, as well as 13 Nascent Soul True Monarchs, the Xu Clan was an obvious overlord at the edge of the Spirit Ascendance Realm.

But even though these cultivators contributed to the strength of the Xu Clan, the three cultivators that truly held the clan together were the 3 Divine Refinement Venerables.

Although none of the three Venerables had acted for the past ten thousand years, not a single cultivator in the entirety of the Spirit Source Continent dared sully their names, not even the other major powers of the continent.

But unbeknownst to the outside world, these three Venerables could currently be seen bowing towards a seemingly fragile old man.

As he looked at the three middle-aged cultivators in front of him, the old man couldn't help but touch his beard.

"Chen'er, it seems as though you haven't been neglecting your cultivation while I was in seclusion, If you take just another step forward, you should be able to reach the True Self Realm, I will personally guide you after I complete my breakthrough," said the old man as he looked at Venerable Myriad Truths, causing the latter to bow.

"Junior thanks Ancestor for his blessings," said the Venerable as he bowed to the old man, who had turned his attention to the other two.

"Not bad, both of you have reached the Late Stage of the Divine Refinement Realm, although you can't yet compare to Chen'er because of your young age, both of you should be able to break through in a few thousand years as well..." said the Ancestor.

Although the two Venerables were somewhat disappointed that they could now be guided by their ancestor, neither of them expressed their disappointment, keenly aware of the sheer power of the old man in front of them.

Soon after that, all three Venerables left the room, and quickly went to do the task that their Ancestor had asked of them.

In just a few minutes, the entire Xu Clan was suddenly locked down, as the Grand Formation, suddenly activated, and was manned by the Three Venerables.

Soon after, orders were sent out to the Patriarch of the Clan, strictly forbidding anyone from moving around.

While his three descendants did their work, the old Ancestor of the Xu Clan stood there, letting out breath after breath.

"This is my final chance..." mumbled the old man as she grabbed his necklace, which had 'Xu Si', engraved onto it, into his hands.

After letting out one final breath, a small flower suddenly appeared in front of Xu Si.

Unlike normal flowers though, this flower actually had small dimensions, much smaller than Minor Worlds, in each of its petals.

A moment later, Xu Si suddenly began absorbing the World Lotus, which he had fought so hard to obtain back in his youth.

Soon after, Xu Si's breakthrough from the True Body, to the Void Refinement Realm began, as his True Body, which he had painstakingly created after countless efforts, suddenly broke through space, causing a crack to appear in front of him, through which Xu Si was able to begin absorbing a tiny part of the void itself.

The moment the True Body began absorbing the Void, and tried to refine it for its own gains, cracks suddenly appeared on it.

These were of course not normal cracks, and were instead space cracks, which threatened to tear the True Body apart and sent its parts to different location.

As this would spell his death, Xu Si could not allow this to happen, and began using both his will, and the power of the World Lotus, to begin stabilizing his True Body.

Although Xu Yue herself had said that Xu Si did not have much talent, and was completely right, the difficulties Xu Si faced on his path allowed his to both forge an extremely solid Dao Heart, which would not falter, and a powerful foundation through opportunities and lucky encounters.

But even so, the breakthrough to the Void Refinement Realm was not something that anyone could challenge at will, and quickly struck back, as Xu Si now had to refine the Void Essence he had absorbed, not dying in the process.

The moment Xu Si began refining the Void Essence, his aura, which was hidden up until now, suddenly revealed itself, sending tremors throughout the entire continent.

Uncaring about the outside world, including her own son, Xu Si, who she had let decide his own fate, Xu Yue couldn't help but faintly smile as she looked at her daughter, who was currently standing completely still in her stomach.

Right now, little Xu Yue was currently on the verge of mastering a Soul Refinement Technique that Xu Yue had taught her.

Although Soul Refinement was not very effective until one reached the Soul Enlightenment Realm, since Xu Lanfeng had warned Xu Yue to not let her daughter physically cultivate until the final ten years of her pregnancy, Xu Yue could not let her daughter laze around.

A moment later, a tiny amount of Spiritual Energy suddenly floated into Xu Yue's stomach from the outside world, before quickly being absorbed by little Xu Yue's soul.

As soon as that happened, a young voice suddenly erupted into Xu Yue's mind, causing a smile to bloom on Xu Yue's face.

"I did it! I did it!!" said the little Xu Yue, clearly very impressed with her achievement.

"What are you so happy for, I know of people who reached the Qi Refinement Realm by your age, those are your peers, as well as the people you need to compare yourself to, you still have a long way to go before you surpass them," said Xu Yue, as her tone which was normally warm when talking with her children, suddenly turned cold.

Hearing the words of her mother, little Xu Yue couldn't help but become determined.

"Don't worry mother, I'll surpass those arrogant guys in the future..." said little Xu Yue with an extremely determined tone in her voice.
