Unusual

Although it was extremely powerful, the Yang Clan, as one of the two most powerful clans in the Origin Sword Sect, was incredibly vast, having branches hidden throughout the entirety of the Sword Region.

These branches had been created in two ways.

Either the Yang Clan itself had decided to expand in a particular area, to occupy some rare resources.

Or a single member of the clan had decided to start a branch and have some descendants, noticing that he had no possibility to progress in the clan itself.

As the branches of the first type were quite rare, most branches were of the second type, created by singular clan members.

Because of this, their strength, as well as the location they could occupy varied a lot, depending on the strength of the clan member.

In a very remote corner of the Sword Region stood a village, Yang Village.

Compared to the surrounding villages, which sent all of their cultivation talents to the Flying Path Sect, Yang Village actually kept all of them to themselves, having them cultivate in the village.

Rather surprisingly, the Flying Path Sect, which was usually extremely unreasonable to these puny villages, tacitly allowed this matter, not interfering.

And at this moment, an unusual scene was taking place in Yang Village.

Right now, the village was stricken by a tense atmosphere, which originated from a particular house in the village.

At this moment, Yang Zihao, the strongest cultivator in the village, as well as its de facto leader, stood outside his house with a tense look on his face.

Although he knew that as a Foundation Establishment Cultivator, his wife did not have t face much risk when giving birth, Zihao still couldn't help but be worried.

Thankfully, though, Zihao's fears were unfounded, as with his hearing, he soon heard the cry of a healthy baby coming from inside the house.

The moment Yang Zihao heard this, he suddenly got up from his cross-legged position and walked into the house, his eyes slightly red as he looked at the middle-aged woman who had just emerged from the bedroom.

"The birth went extremely smooth, madam did not experience any side effects," said the woman, causing Yang Zihao to smile and begin walking inside.

Sadly for him, though, Yang Zihao was blocked by the middle-aged woman, who shook her head.

"Madam Meiling ordered me to not let anybody in for the next twenty minutes," said the woman as she narrowed her eyes whilst using her body to block the door.

After staring at the woman for a few moments, Yang Zihao retreated whilst shaking his head.

"I understand," mumbled Zihao as he sat down cross-legged and began waiting for the twenty minutes to pass.

...

Twenty minutes later,

Staring at the beautiful woman, who was holding a rather ugly and wrinkly baby in her hands, Yang Zihao couldn't help but freeze for a few moments before walking forward.

Seeing this, the woman, Yang Meilin, couldn't help but frown.

"What? Do you not like how our daughter looks?" asked Meilin as she looked at her husband with a cold look in her eyes.

Hearing these words coming out of his normally peaceful wife, Yang Zihao felt sweat fall on the back of his head for some reason.

"No, no, would I dare?" asked Yang Zihao as he stretched out his hand and picked up the red and wrinkly baby from the hand of his wife.

"You are going to be Yang Bing," mumbled Yang Zihao, unaware of the deep Cause and Effect linked with this name.

In the future, as Yang Zihao remembered this scene he couldn't help but feel many emotions, thinking about whether what had happened was worth it.

Of course, at this moment, Yang Zihao was unaware of the circumstances leading up to this birth and was purely happy.

...

Other than Yang Village itself, which buzzed about the birth for about three weeks, the rest of the world was not aware of the important event which had just taken place there in that hidden village.

Not even Xu Yue, who was constantly alert of any changes happening in fate, managed to notice this important event.

The only relatively important being aware of this was a certain six-tailed fox, which had coincidentally passed by this village not long after the birth.

Of course, Xu Yanmei did not pay much attention to a random child and continued fleeing the people who were currently hunting her down.

...

Looking at the disheveled six-tailed fox in front of her, Xu Ming couldn't help but take in a deep breath and create a hole in the formation, allowing her half-sister in.

"Yanmei, did something happen?" asked Xu Ming as she looked at the fox, whose fur was clearly dirty.

"It's nothing, I just needed a place to temporarily rest," mumbled Xu Yanmei after transforming into her human form.

"Surely you could have gone to your mothers, right?" asked Xu Ming with a rather confused look on her face as she took a sip of tea.

"As you know, one of my mothers is in seclusion, and I didn't want to disturb her, while the other threw me out after noticing what I did," said Xu Yanmei, causing Xu Ming to suddenly choke on her tea.

"It's alright, my Dao Companion isn't here right now, you can stay here to rest, there are a bunch of empty rooms in the cave abode," said Xu Ming as she looked at Xu Yanmei with a rather peculiar look on her face.

"Thanks, sister, I really appreciate it," mumbled Xu Yanmei before walking deeper into the cave abode.

A few moments after Xu Yanmei had walked away, a Nine-Tailed Fox suddenly appeared next to Xu Ming.

"Ming'er, did Yanmei come here?" asked Hulli Jing as she looked at Xu Ming, causing the latter to shake her head.

"No, is there a reason?" asked Xu Ming with a rather confused look on her face.

Hearing this, Hulli Jing couldn't help but grit her teeth.

"Since when did that little fox learn how to avoid my detection," mumbled Hulli Jing under the confused eyes of Xu Ming.
