Traveling

After a few minutes of awkward silence, the old woman let out a small laugh.

"It's alright, what did you want to ask me?" asked the old woman as she happily looked at Xu Yue, her pretty bad mood from before having seemingly disappeared.

Looking at the old woman, who seemed to be mocking her, Xu Yue silently gritted her teeth before asking the question.

"What connection do you have with my master?" asked Xu Yue as she looked straight in the old woman's eyes.

"I could be considered Feng Shuchun's adoptive mother, though that lass didn't really fit with my cultivation technique, and as such, she ran off somewhere else," said the old woman as she looked at Xu Yue with a smile on her face.

"Are you satisfied with my answer little girl?" asked the old woman as she took a sip of tea from her cup.

Xu Yue did not hear what paid attention to what the old woman said after that, as she had fallen deep in thought.

"She's telling the truth but there's something more to it than that," thought Xu Yue as she looked and realized something, the old woman doesn't have a water drop mark on her eyebrow.

Suddenly, Xu Yue remembered something, not long after she and Ming Yun entered the Water Drop Region, they encountered a tiny village that seemed to worship a statue of a drop of water.

At that time, Xu Yue did not pay any attention to it, but right now, Xu Yue seemed to realize something.

As she silently compared the two water drops in her mind, Xu Yue tried her best to find the differences between the two, but sadly, she somehow failed.

Even though that was supposed to be a rough statue made by some villagers, Xu Yue couldn't find any differences from the mark on her masters's forehead.

"They aren't worshiping water or water drops, but rather, a particular water drop," thought Xu Yue before realizing what that meant.

"So that's what it is," mumbled Xu Yue before finally seeing the truth, and as she looked at the old woman once again, Xu Yue did not see a human, but rather, she seemed to see a floating drop of water.

"But what did you mean by 'I'm closer to a true Immortal," mumbled Xu Yue as she looked at the old woman.

"It's not very nice of you to ask so many questions of a sweet old woman, I have already answered enough of yur questions, you can leave now," said the old woman, and only a moment after, Xu Yue and Ming Yun found themselves back in the real world.

"Senior sister, shouldn't you be more doubtful of what that old woman said," asked Ming Yun as she brought of the flying ship from her spatial ring.

Looking at Ming Yun, who seemed worried about her, Xu Yue let out a smile.

"Don't worry, that old woman was honest, and even if so, it doesn't matter much, I was just curious about the connection between her and master, I can easily find out if she's lying back at the sect," said Xu Yue as she slightly pinched Ming Yun's cheek in the process.

Hearing what her senior sister had just said, Ming Yun nodded as she slightly rubbed her cheek, but even so, the pain did not seem to decrease in the slightest.

"Was that really necessary?" asked Ming Yun as she followed Xu Yue onto the flying ship, but even so, the pain on her cheek did not disappear.

And after a while, the two of them continued on their travels west.

"Senior sister, should we stop at some of the biggest cities of the region?" asked Ming Yun as she controlled the ship to avoid any obstacles that came in their path.

"Do you want to spend ten thousand years traveling?" asked Xu Yue as she looked at Ming Yun with a slightly sad expression on her face.

"If could, I want to go to as many places as I can, but sadly, I don't have billions of years right now, and cities are the places most similar between regions, it's best we avoid them to not waste time," said Xu Yue as decided where to stop in the next region.

"Understood senior sister," mumbled Ming Yun as the two of them continued traveling at an extremely fast speed.

As such, Xu Yue and Ming Yun continued traveling through the three thousand regions, and in the next twenty-two years, Xu Yue traveled through almost one hundred regions.

The reason for their fast speed is the lackluster power of the regions themselves, most of the edge of the three thousand regions is occupied by regions represented by Minor Daos, such as Water Drop, Grain of Sand and other such Dao.

As a result, although pretty, and leaving Xu Yue with many new paintings, these regions did not interest her much.

Of course, other than these, and the regions representing personal Daos, the edge of the Three Thousand Regions also had some other, more interesting regions, like the place that Xu Yue planned to travel next.

Even as the two were outside of the region, Xu Yue and Ming Yun could still see the extremely majestic mountains of the mountain region.

As she stared at them, Ming Yun suddenly remembered how amazed she was when she first saw the mountains of the painting region, but compared to these, the difference could be said to be as big as Heaven and Earth.

After looking over the horizon for a few moments, Xu Yue decided something.

"Let's go walk for a bit," said Xu Yue as she instructed Ming Yun to lower the flying ship to the ground.

The moment Xu Yue stepped foot onto the ground, she suddenly felt it.

"This is a holy land for Formation Masters," thought Xu Yue as she felt the power of the mountains below her ebb and flow like waves on the ocean.

"So this is the reason there are so many formation masters here," mumbled Xu Yue as she felt the endless power of the mountains below her.
