Power

Ling Chen smiled as he looked at the five treasures before him, every single one of them being valuable enough that countless cultivators would fight for it.

Each one of the treasures had a different element, forming a complete five-element cycle.

"Let's begin," mumbled Ling Chen as the five treasures began floating before him, as he used his cultivation base to absorb them, he felt some small resistance at first, but gradually, he did not have to do anything as the power of the treasures began flowing into his body, forming a small cycle.

After around an hour, Ling Chen began gritting his teeth as more and more elemental energies entered his body, constantly destroying and rebuilding it.

A dark sludge then soon began being thrown out of Ling Chen's body, as this happened, transformations began taking place inside of him.

Ling Chen, even with all of his willpower nearly had his very soul destroyed from pain as the fire elemental treasure forcefully entered his body and began replacing his heart, turning his former heart into ash at that moment.

The pain continued on for several hours as the treasure slowly transformed into a new heart and began sending scalding hot blood throughout the body, causing even more pain.

After all of this, Ling Chen, began breathing heavily, his lings having been completely scorched, becoming nearly useless.

After a few more moments of heavy breathing, Ling Chen felt a terrifying stinging pain as the metal element treasure once again forcefully entered his body, slowly but surely replacing his now destroyed lungs.

As this was happening, the sludge being emitted from his skin began transforming from black to grey, as it was contaminated by the ash that his former organs had transformed into.

After several more hours, Ling Chen finally felt a bit of relief as the burning pain slowly decreased, the earth treasure having entered his body.

"Soon," mumbled Ling Chen as he felt the strength in his body, even as he could barely move because of the pain, he still felt extremely strong compared to previously.

As the earth treasure neutralized the effects of the burning, Ling Chen began to feel himself transforming into dust, causing him untold suffering once again, but the pain suddenly stopped as his lungs emitted a metal elemental aura, causing the earth treasure to become more gentle.

Ling Chen suddenly let out a burst of screams as the last two treasures entered his body at the same time, the wood treasure replacing his liver while the water treasure replaced his kidney.

After several minutes of pain, a cycle began slowly but surely forming from the five treasures, as such, Ling Chen's body began being fully replaced, from the skin, muscle, bones to his minor organs and lastly his brain, the last of which caused him to finally faint from the pain, but thankfully, his body seemed to increase in strength on his own.

As time passed, and the power of the treasures slowly ran out, the padoga in Ling Chen's sea of consciousness began taking action.

Ling Chen immediately woke up and, for the first time, let out a scream, his scream caused the entire valley he was in to be completely destroyed, but thankfully, he had set up a few formations to hide himself.

Compared to before, a new transformation took place in Ling Chen, this time affecting the entirety of his existence, from body and soul, as time passed, Ling Chen's soul began transforming from a human to an existence somewhat similar to an elemental being.

As time passed, Ling Chen's cultivation began growing on it's own, at first slowly reaching the peak of the Soul enlightenment realm, but as it sped up, Ling Chen began going through the Qi refining stage at an exaggerated speed, only stopping at the peak.

Several days later,

Slowly coming to himself, Ling Chen looked around to see a completely destroyed valley, thankfully the formations he had created truly held up.

"Finally," shouted Ling Chen as he accidentally hit his fist on the ground.

Near the valley,

Dong Fan looked through the storage ring before him with a smile on his face.

"What rich brat," mumbled Dong Fan as he combed through the ring.

Mere moments later, Ling Chen's fist accidentally hit the ground, causing the entire valley, alongside everything around it, including the likes of Dong Fan a Qi refining cultivator to disappear from existence, leaving Ling Chen alone floating over a hole.

"Power," mumbled Ling Chen as enlightenment filled him, his fist then stretched forward and began gripping something invisible and non-existent.

"The Dao of Power," mumbled Ling Chen as he forcefully took his dao from the Heavenly Dao causing the surroundings to be completely destroyed in an even larger radius.

After a few moments, an aura of limitless power appeared around Ling Chen, causing a smile to appear on his face.

A few moments later, Ling Chen began flying at an exaggerated speed in a certain direction.

Inside of the Origin Sword sect,

As Xu Yue sat crosslegged and routinely divined her future, a new variable suddenly appeared, causing a smile to appear on her face.

"An opportunity to stretch my muscles, I wonder who that is," mumbled Xu Yue as she tried to divine further.

As she became closer and closer to the answer, a Five Floored padoga appeared before Xu Yue, clouding her judgment.

Seeing this, Xu Yue frowned.

After searching her memories, Xu Yue began looking through the sect's records, finding what she needed.

"Immortal Five Element, one of the first body refining Immortals in existence, cultivated the Dao of the Five Element alongside the Dao of Power," said Xu Yue as she read the jade slip out loud.

"Hopefully this inheritor is good at fighting at least," mumbled Xu Yue as she silently stretched her muscles, before sending the jade slip back to the sect library.

Unknown to Ling Chen at this time, he was being stared at by a ruthless beast that was waiting to pounce on him.
