Past Present and Future

Without being restricted by the Time Dragons, the spell cast by the Tenth was able to easily arrive next to Xu Yue's timeline, before quickly sinking into it with relative ease.

Of course, this did not mean that the entirety of the power of the spell remained after it had to go through both the barrier that was blocking the timeline, and the natural resistance of the timeline itself.

Because of these two factors, the power of the spell was whittled down to less than 0.00001 percent of its previous might.

But even though this was the case, the power sent out by a Rank 9 True Immortal.

...

Inside the Library of Heaven.

The moment the spell the main body had cast entered the timeline, Xu Yue's eyes suddenly opened once again, becoming completely gray, as the entirety of her vision went unrestricted for a few moments.

For just these few moments though, this Xu Yue, who did not even have any sort of existence, was able to see nearly everything she desired, with one certain exception, which caused her to let out a faint sigh.

"As expected, the Rank 9 managed to hide themselves very well," thought Xu Yue as she looked at the two Rank 8 Apostles who were slowly but surely becoming more powerful.

A moment later, though, Xu Yue, who was currently unleashed, let out a faint snort.

"Since you want to hide yourself, why don't I let you feel a bit of pain," said Xu Yue, causing her voice to resound through the entirety of the upper dimension.

A moment later, before the Grand Dao could react in the slightest, her hand suddenly stretched out towards the two Rank 8 True Immortals that were hiding.

The instant Xu Yue's enormous hand appeared above the Upper Dimension, both of the apostles suddenly became deathly pale, as they knew they had absolutely no chance to resist the power of the hand in front of them.

Just as Xu Yue's hand was about that grab hold of the first apostle, a faint smile appeared on her face.

"As I guessed, loosing two Rank 8's in another timeline isn't something you want to bear," mumbled Xu Yue as she stared at the other hand that had emerged to block her attack.

The instant the other hand appeared, the faces of both of the Apostles returned to normal, as the other hand suddenly grabbed Xu Yue's own before crushing it into pieces, causing Xu Yue to faintly frown as she felt and examined the power of her opponent.

Even though she could resist if she wanted, Xu Yue felt no desire to show her hand right away, and knew that fighting against the opponent right now had no benefits for her.

In fact, it would actually reveal the location of her shadow, which would make her feel rather aggrieved.

As such, Xu Yue simply fell into thought.

"This is quite interesting..." mumbled Xu Yue as she thought about the power she had sensed.

...

At the same time, in a certain timeline in a corner of existence.

As he looked at the battle that was currently taking place in that timeline, Heaven couldn't help but let out a faint sigh.

"As expected, although things may change at first glance, in the essence, it's the same..." mumbled Heaven as she watched the timeline with a faintly sad look on his face.

Hearing this, both Earth and Man couldn't help but become silent.

If you asked them if they didn't feel melancholic about this 'past' of their, none of them would be able to lie.

Of course, all three of them wanted to return to that time, sadly though, this was no longer possible.

Thankfully though, nobody could ask such a question, as right now, nobody in the entirety of existence was aware of who they were, just yet.

Of course, perhaps this was actually for the best, as someone knowing their identities wouldn't do them any good.

A few moments later, after that battle ended, Earth couldn't help but faintly let out a sigh, causing man to shake his head.

"You, of all people, should be the best aware that everything is set in stone and no longer possible to change, why are you still so sad all these eras later?" asked Man as he looked at Earth, causing both the latter, and Heaven, to look at him with dark looks on their faces.

"You, of all people, should not speak on this topic, especially since you were the one who brought us into this mess in the first place," said Heaven, causing Man to fall silent.

As he looked at the scene in front of him, Earth couldn't help but fall silent as well, causing Heaven, to do so as well.

After a few billion years of silence, a gourd of wine suddenly appeared in the hands of Man, causing the lips of the other two to twitch.

...

Unaware of the discussion of her old friends, First couldn't help but stare at the Rank 9 Time Dragons in front of her with a cold look on her face.

"So what do you want?" asked First as she slightly narrowed her eyes, causing her the time dragons in front of her to fall silent as they felt the overwhelming aura fall onto them.

A moment later, a large Rank 9 Time Dragon suddenly emerged from the group.

"Yue, all we want of you is to follow the pact that we made back then, nothing else," said the Time Dragon as he looked at the First, causing the latter to faintly smile.

"Don't worry, I have no plans of breaking our pact," said the First with a smile on her face, causing the Time Dragons, who were ready for battle, to feel a little bit confused.

"I know very well why this pact of ours exists, don't worry, I know my limits very well," continued the First, making the Time Dragons feel an inexplicable chill in their hearts.
