Hearing those words, Xu Yue couldn't help but shake her head as she turned her attention back to herself.

Although only a very short amount of time had passed since Xu Yue had comprehended the Boundless Dao, even right now, Xu Yue could feel the effects of her rapid progress.

"It's quite a different feeling," mumbled Xu Yue as she felt the power of the 'Boundless Dao'.

Compared to some time ago, this new Dao of hers felt significantly different.

Without any warning, a golden apple suddenly appeared in Xu Yue's hands, as a spatial crack sent it her way.

Looking at the spiritual fruit in her hands, the faint smile on Xu Yue's face increased in size.

"It's as I expected, not only did the power of Fate not decrease after the Dao of Fate was absorbed by the 'Boundless Dao', it increased instead," mumbled Xu Yue as she took a bite of the spiritual fruit in her hands.

Ignoring the effects of the apple, Xu Yue thoroughly enjoyed its sweet taste, as well as the deep flavour hidden deep within it.

At the same time, Xu Yue took out one of the Jade slips from the spatial ring which her ancestor had given her, and began reading them.

Staring at the originally prosperous Taoist Sect in front of her, anger couldn't help but appear on Xia Jingfei's face.

The Heaven Spirit Sect, a rather weak Taoist Sect located in the Metal Region, with a Minor Transcendence Cultivator currently at the helm.

But although this sect was quite weak, it did have a rather notable past, being founded by a False Immortal Realm Cultivator.

Sadly though, after countless years the sect slowly but surely declined, reaching its current state.

At this moment, the entire sect was burning as Xia Jingfei was staring at the sect master, who she was currently restricting.

"He's somewhat better than those other sect masters, but in the end, he can't compare to those three," mumbled Xia Jingfei as she stared at the sect master, causing faint beads of sweat to appear on his forehead.

Looking at this scene, Xia Jingfei faintly shook her head, feeling unsatisfied with this sect master.

Some time later

As she flew away from the Heaven Spirit Sect, anger couldn't help but appear on Xia Jingfei's face.

The more Xia Jingfei thought about her three disciples, which were clearly very superior to her current targets, the angrier Xia Jingfei became.

"Li Fengfeng really ruined my plans," mumbled Xia Jingfei as she slowly but surely digested the gains she had obtained from this sect.

If not for the fact that Li Fengfeng had made her kill her three disciples, right now Xia Jingfei could be relaxing whilst watching them grow.

The more she thought about this, the angrier Xia Jingfei became once again, as even the state of mind that she had absorbed from countless Taoist disciples struggled to keep her anger in check.

"Just you wait, Li Fengfeng," mumbled Xia Jingfei, before suddenly stopping.

Staring at the forest below her, a faint smile appeared on Xia Jingfei's face.

Right now, inside the forest, a handsome young man was fighting against several powerful beasts, using his spear to fend them off.

As she stared at the handsome face, as well as at the indomitable spirit of the young man, who had no desire to surrender his life to the beast in front of him, Xia Jingfei couldn't help but lick her lips.

Right now, inside said forest, a handsome man, who looked no older than twenty, dressed in a black robe, stood face to face with three bears.

Staring at the huge bears in front of him, all of which radiated a completely bloodthirsty aura, Ma Qi suddenly felt a tinge of regret for travelling through this forest.

Without any warning, Ma Qi's suddenly jumped toward the bears, not letting them make the first move.

In only a fraction of a moment, Ma Qi had jumped one hundred meters through the air, reaching the bears, and let out several spear strikes before the monsters could react.

Looking at the tiny human, who was feebly stabbing him with his spear, veins couldn't help but appear on the corner of He Wei's bear face.

Usually, He Wei was extremely gentle, but right now, after his precious Golden Apple, which he had been raising for over a thousand years had gone missing, he was on the brink of collapse.

After placing one of his claws over the eyes of the little bear next to him, He Wei's other claw suddenly moved.

In only a fraction of a moment, his claw suddenly struck the fragile spear of the human, shattering it.

Before Ma Qi could react, his body was suddenly blown into the distance, and he lost consciousness, as he was thrown from one monster to another

This was the first thought that entered Ma Qi's body as soon as he regained consciousness.

Sadly though, only a few minutes after regaining consciousness, Ma Qi lost it once again, as his body slowly but surely began drying up.

But even, Ma Qi did not give up fighting, as he continued persevering, using all of his will to fight the monster which was trying to devour him.

Sadly though, after a long night of battle, the monster took finally stopped toying with its prey, as it then fully devoured Ma Qi.

Looking at the nearly dried-up body of the young man, who was sitting on the bed next to her, Xia Jingfei couldn't help but faintly smile, as a relaxed expression appeared on her face.

After a few moments, Xia Jingfei stretched out her hand towards Ma Qi's fingers, as she then took off the unassuming black ring that the latter had been wearing.

"Another genius with a senior in a ring, is it some sort of trend that I was unaware of?" mumbled Xia Jingfei as she suddenly ripped the old soul out of the ring and placed it in her mouth.

A few moments later, Xia Jingfei had fully devoured the soul, all of its memories, experiences and emotions, making it a part of her.
