Heat Region

Looking at the sect, which now lay behind them, a sigh escaped Ming Yun's lips, but even so, Ming Yun would follow her senior sister anywhere she would go.

And of course, they would come back to the sect in a few hundred years, or so thought Ming Yun.

"Let's go," said Xu Yue before stepping onto the flying ship with Ming Yun just one step behind.

A few moments after the two of them entered the flying ship, it started flying into the distance with incredible speed, now being powered by a much more powerful than before Xu Yue.

As such, Xu Yue's so-called 'vacation' had begun.

...

A few months later,

"This place isn't very nice," mumbled Xu Yue as she felt the scorching heat that radiated in this entire region.

"Senior sister, there isn't any place suitable for painting," said Ming Yun as she flew towards Xu Yue.

"Then let's go see the inhabitants of this region," said Xu Yue as she and Ming Yun once again got on the flying boat.

A while later,

"It's getting very annoying," mumbled Xu Yue as she felt the more and more intense heat coming from the sun, even though the head could do absolutely nothing to Xu Yue, she was still rather annoyed by it.

While thinking of that, Xu Yue suddenly remembered the heat she felt in the Trial Pagoda years ago, a smile appearing on her face.

"My physique really isn't suitable for this place," mumbled Xu Yue as she let out a small laugh.

Even more now that Xu Yue had traveled to the region's center, where the heat was the most intense, Xu Yue felt the downsides of her physique even more, as this annoyance followed her.

After a few moments, Ming Yun arrived beside Xu Yue with a jade slip in hand, only a few moments later, Xu Yue had absorbed the large amounts of information and knew where she wanted to go.

"Let's go to this city," said Xu Yue as she began flying into that particular direction.

As such, Xu Yue began traveling to the city, ignoring the completely huge mountain behind her.

The Flying Sun mountain stood at the center of the Heat Region, and at it's top stood to well-named Flying Sun Sect.

Originally, as a first grade power, Xu Yue wanted to take a look at this sect, but upon find out a certain characteristic of this city, she was much more attracted to it.

...

"That's the work of an immortal," mumbled Xu Yue as she looked at the city that seemed completely separate from the outside world.

From the moment Xu Yue stepped foot into the city, the heat, which annoyed her to no end suddenly stopped, even though it could not directly land on Xu Yue, it's very existence seemed to annoy her a lot.

But now that she was in the city, it seemed as if the heat was no longer here at all.

"Oasis city is really a suitable name for this place," mumbled Xu Yue as she walked through the city, completely invisible to the vast majority of living beings.

One benefit of Oasis city was that mortals could survive inside of it without the help of formations, just like the edges of the region, where the heat was at it's lowest, only the amount of spiritual energy here is much higher.

As such, when walking through the city, she discovered that over one-tenth of the population didn't have any cultivation base at all.

"This place really is nice," mumbled Ming Yun as her senior sister silently ate a piece of meat from an iron pike.

As she overlooked the hundreds of billions of people living in this city with her spiritual sense, a smile appeared on Xu Yue's face.

"Senior, the Wang Clan, invites your distinguished self for a tour through the city," said a toned middle-aged man as he appeared a few hundred meters in front of Xu Yue.

Before the middle-aged man could say anything more, he found himself at the entrance of the Wang Clan compound with a dumbfounded expression on his face.

"What realm was that senior at?" mumbled the middle-aged man as a frown appeared on his face, with his experience and training under the Wang Clan, he immediately regained his calm and began inscribing the information he gained into a jade slip.

But halfway through doing so, a crack was heard.

This time, the dumbfounded expression on his face remained for a long time, looking at the cracked jade slip in front of him, for the first time in many years, the middle-aged man felt fear.

"No one of importance entered the city today," thought the middle-aged man, knowing what he should report to the Wang Clan.

"It's better if we ignore that person," mumbled the middle-aged man before beginning to once again fly on his patrol.

...

Not knowing the thoughts of the middle-aged man, right now, Ming Yun was staring at the giant sand sculpture in front of her.

Looking at the giant bird made of sand, Ming Yun felt apprehension even as she felt the fragility and impermanence of the sand sculpture, as no one had used qi to reinforce it

"It's too beautiful," mumbled Ming Yun as she stared at the sculpture with wide eyes, this was, by far the most beautiful bird she had seen in her entire life, bar none.

Suddenly, someone appeared behind Ming Yun in an instant, causing her to slightly flinch.

"It's quite good, the one who made this must have seen something," mumbled Xu Yue as she appeared behind Ming Yun.

"Did I scare you?" asked Xu Yue as she looked at Ming Yun with a smile on her face, causing the latter's face no contort in shame.

"No senior sister," said Ming Yun as she slightly lowered her head in shame from being scared by her own senior sister.

"Umm, good," said Xu Yue before letting out a laugh, causing Ming Yun to further lower her head.
