Extraordinary

After taking a look at the outside world and making sure that nothing major had happened in the over ten thousand years she had been in her seclusion, Xu Yue then began investigating the people closest to her.

From her parents, grandparents, maids, children, grandchildren, everyone quickly passed under the gaze of Xu Yue, who checked if they were alright.

As she was checking her grandchildren, Xu Yue suddenly stopped her eyes on a certain little fox, causing a rather speechless look to appear on her face.

...

Cloud Region,

On the edge of the cloud regions stood a little, rather insignificant mountain, and on that mountain stood three cultivators.

Daoist Chongyun, an old Minor Transcendence Cultivator who was also an alchemist.

Fairy Zhong, a much younger cultivator also at the Minor Transcendence Realm.

As well as Fairy Chu, a much more mysterious cultivator at the Minor Transcendence Realm, whose age was unknown.

Originally, with their powerful cultivation bases, the three of them should have been able to go occupy mountains in the center of the Cloud Regions, but for some reason, all three of them decided that they wanted this mountain.

Then, after a battle through which all three of them discovered that they were unable to defeat the other two, a compromise was then reached, after which, the single mountain was then split into three different mountains, with each one of them occupying a mountain.

With the presence of three mighty Minor Transcendence Cultivators, over the years, several cultivation gatherings, as well as several cities and marketplace were established at the foot of the mountain by cultivators who sought to seek refuge with the three.

All of these different cultivators were able to live in peace under the protection of the three, after paying a rather large share of their income to the three, of course.

Sadly, though, this peace would soon be broken.

...

As she stared at the enormous floating Golden Palace in front of her, which completely overwhelmed her own aura, Fairy Zhong, who had just arrived, couldn't help but faintly smile before flying into it.

Only a few moments after that, both Daoist Chongyun, and the mysterious Fairy Chu flew into the palace, knowing that their opportunity had finally come.

Unaware of the pair of eyes that was staring at them with an amused expression, the three of them quickly barged into the palace, whose formations had been just destroyed by their combined efforts of over two thousand years.

Perfectly aware of how the palace was structured, Fairy Zhong ignored the large number of rooms she passed by, which housed countless precious treasures, and quickly flew towards a certain inconspicuous place in a hidden corner of the palace.

At the same time, both Fairy Chu, and Daoist Chongyun also traveled to their own destinations, which they had previously agreed on.

Fairy Chu traveled to the center of the palace, where the main throne room was located, whilst Daoist Chongyun quickly flew towards the medicinal garden, where his most coveted treasure awaited him.

Whilst Fairy Zhong and Fairy Chu searched for the treasures they had been seeking, the mysterious Golden Sutra, as well as the Xuanyuan Sword, which was rumored to be in the possession of Immortal Golden Fire, the False Immortal who had formerly inhabited this palace before dying.

According to legend, thanks to the power of the Sword, the False Immortal was able to become as powerful as a True Immortal, allowing him to take up the title.

But even though Daoist Chongyun was tempted greatly by those treasures, something else inside the palace made them seem insignificant in comparison.

Of course, this was only to Daoist Chongyun, as most other people would find the other treasures much more tempting.

...

As she stared at the scene in front of her, Xu Yue's eyes couldn't help but widen.

"I really encountered something quite significant..." mumbled Xu Yue as she continued looking at the three.

Although she could see both the sword and scripture, Xu Yue felt no attraction from either of them, but rather, the thing that this 'Daoist Chongyun' was searching for made her feel much more curious.

This was because Xu Yue could not actually find what he was searching for.

...

In just a few moments, Daoist Chongyun arrived in the medicinal garden, which was filled with countless treasures that would tempt Dao Saints to death.

But even so, the old man paid no attention to them, as he instantly focused on one single thing inside the garden.

A moment later, the old man suddenly began digging through the ground in a particular spot, uncaring about his image as he then quickly dug out a golden box, causing extreme doubt to appear on Xu Yue's face.

Even so, aware of the identity of this 'Daoist Chongyun' Xu Yue did not have the face to interfere just yet.

Without any care in the world, the old man suddenly opened the golden box, revealing a ginseng inside of it.

At that very instant, Xu Yue's mouth popped wide open, as a shocked expression appeared on her face.

This, alongside the hesitation that she had because of the other party's identity, gave the old Daoist enough time to suddenly devour the ginseng without any care in the world.

A moment after devouring the ginseng, the old man suddenly returned to his true form, a little white fox, and suddenly began flying away.

...

As she stared at Xu Chang'er, who was currently flying away after devouring the ginseng, Xu Yue finally returned to her senses.

The more Xu Yue remembered the appearance of the ginseng, which looked like a young baby, and stared at Xu Chang'er, who was quickly getting lifespan, the more sure she was of what her granddaughter had just done.

A Primordial Ginseng from the Ginseng Tree.

This was a legendary item that had been rumored to exist back in the ancient past of the Three Thousand Regions.

It was said that, that it would take 128,000 years for the Primordial Ginseng Tree to blossom and another 128,000 years to yield fruits. What's more, to totally ripen also required another 128,000 years. Only 30 fruits would be yielded every 384,000 years. People who were lucky enough would extend their life to 360 years long if they smelt the fragrance of the tree once. And they could live for 47,000 years on earth if they ate those fruits.

Although the tree had gone missing in the ancient era, and Xu Yue had not personally seen it nor any of its fruits, as she looked at Xu Chang'er, who was quickly gaining lifespan without any worry on her face, Xu Yue knew that her granddaughter was really extraordinary.
