Cultivation

After continuing to look at her daughter's journey for a few more weeks, Xu Yue finally let out a sigh, got up and snapped her fingers, causing an incarnation to appear in her place, causing Hulli Jing to slightly roll her eyes.

"Why do you even pretend if you're just going to leave an incarnation..." mumbled Hulli Jing as she watched Xu Yue finally disappear.

...

As soon as she arrived back into her own cave abode, Xu Yue, whose focus had been on something else these past few hundred years, turned her attention back to her own cultivation.

"I've relaxed a little bit too much..." mumbled Xu Yue as she once again closed her eyes, began cultivating.

Coincidentally, Xu Yue was not the only one who was beginning to focus on her own cultivation, as in a cave abode close to her, someone else was doing the same thing, only to be disrupted a moment later.

...

As she stared at Bai Hao, who was standing in front of her with her arms crossed, Xia Xingchou couldn't help but feel a little bit confused.

"Sister Bai, what happened?" asked Xiao Xingchou as she looked at cold beauty, causing the latter to suddenly begin speaking.

"Sister Xia, I need your help with something," said Bai Hao, causing Xia Xingchou to appear a little bit confused.

Very rarely did anyone ask Xia Xingchou for any sort of help, as the cultivation genius was not someone who would focus on things like Alchemy or Formations, causing her to not heavy any sort of skills other than those related to fighting.

But from what Xia Xingchou knew of her, Bai Hao herself was very proficient with that as well, making her feel a large amount of doubt as she looked latter.

"What do you need my help with?" asked Xia Xingchou, with a curious expression clearly visible on her face, making Bai Hao lightly shake her head.

A moment later, Bai Hao suddenly took a small stone slate out of her spatial ring, causing Xia Xingchou to fall into even more doubt.

"Sister Xia, I need you to decipher this technique for me, can you do that?" asked Bai Hao, causing a confused look to appear on Xia Xingchou's face as she turned her attention onto the stone slate.

After feeling utterly lost for a few moments, not understanding a single bit of the stone slate, and just as she was about to give up and ask Bai Hao why she had come to her, Xia Xingchou suddenly froze, before quickly falling into enlightenment.

In just a few moments, the stone slate, which was previously incomprehensible to Xia Xingchou, became easily understandable, allowing her to comprehend the technique carved into it.

As soon as Xia Xingchou fell into enlightenment, Bai Hao's eyes lit up.

"As expected..." mumbled Bai Hao as she watched Xia Xingchou comprehend the technique which she had been unable to.

Myriad Formation's Valley,

As she stared at the Rank 9 Energy Gathering Formation in front of her, which was very nearly perfect, Meng Ling, who had grown to utterly despise imperfections, couldn't help but slightly grind her teeth.

For over an entire year, Meng Lin simply stared at the enormous, yet still imperfect formation in front of her, with no change in sight.

But after wasting an entire year like this, Meng Lin finally turned her attention onto something else, causing her eyes to suddenly light up.

"Luo'er transformed the Rank 6 Rising Tiger Formation into a Rank 7 formation, that's quite impressive..." mumbled Meng Lin as she turned her attention onto the work of her disciple.

Although Luo Ye did not have Meng Lin's extreme understanding of formations, right now, he still surprised Meng Lin a bit.

Originally, after studying this originally Rank 4 formation for a few years and developing it to Rank 6, Meng Lin had given up on improving it any further, deeming that it had reached its upper limit.

Now, though, Luo Ye had managed to improve it.

"It's really improved, and it doesn't use much more spiritual energy, quite impressive, I didn't think of that..." mumbled Meng Lin as she stared at a certain portion of the formation which Luo Ye had overhauled, finding it quite unique.

But in front of a Rank 9 Formation's Master, and not only that, one who paid a lot of attention to lower rank formations, the changes that Luo Ye had made were both quickly seen through and understood.

Sadly though, although this was an improvement to a rather powerful formation, the change that Luo Ye had made was quite particular, and not very applicable to other formations on a large scale, allowing Meng Lin to implement it into just a few other very similar formations.

In the end, though, little by little, such improvements to weak formations were the things that Meng Ling appreciated the most, as well as the reason why she had founded the Myriad Formation's Valley.

Although it took an extremely long amount of time to truly create a sect, and Meng Lin had left the Myriad Formation's Valley even further behind than when it had been formed, the several hundred improvements and alternate formations that disciples of the sect had created in the decades Meng Lin had been focused on the Rank 9 Formation still caused a smile to appear on her face.

Even though most of the improvements were on formations of Rank 1 to 3, they were still things that Meng Lin had not thought of, at least most of them.

In fact, a few of them were quite genius, causing Meng Lin's eyes to begin shining.

In just under half an hour, Meng Lin completely comprehended all the mysteries these new formations had to offer, causing her to begin the next phase, using these new ideas and methods in other formations.

Although Meng Lin had only obtained a few hundred formations, and most of them were useless, this still allowed Meng Lin to improve over five thousand formations of ranks 1-5, after which, Meng Lin fell into thought.

"Is it time for me to go through all of them again?" mumbled Meng Lin, wondering if she had accumulated enough to get a meaningful improvement by going through every single formation she knew, from Rank 1 to 9, and improve them, like she had done when she was first learning.

A moment later, Meng Lin knew the answer to her question, and began sinking deep into the wonders of formations for the next Ten Thousand Years.
