Birth

"You couldn't even have your main body be here?" asked Xu Ming as she looked at her mother.

"The main body is busy dealing with things now that I have exited seclusion," said Xu Yue as she happily held her hand over Xu Ming's now large stomach.

Feeling Xu Ming's fragile human body, a slight smile appeared on Xu Yue's face.

"Things are going well I guess?" asked Xu Yue as she allowed Xu Ming to slightly lean on herself.

Merely nodding without saying anything, Xu Ming placed her head on Xu Yue's shoulder with a smile on her face.

"I'm glad you are here, glad that you will witness the birth of your grandchildren," mumbled Xu Yue as she closed her eyes and peacefully stood next to Xu Yue.

Feeling that her daughter had seemingly fallen asleep, Xu Yue stood there and began waiting.

A few hours later,

Immediately after waking up, Xu Ming took her head off her mother's shoulder, an embarrassed expression appearing on her face soon after.

"You can come in," coldly said Xu Yue as she looked at the door of the room with a frosty expression on her face.

As soon as Hun Luan entered the room, his walking, which originally had been stable up to that point suddenly became staggered as he felt as if his body was about to be fully frozen.

Feeling that, Hun Luan silently gritted his teeth before managing to bring his walking back to normal, but as he approached Xu Yue and Xu Ming, the cold continued increasing.

It was unknown if the cold was merely an illusion that Xu Yu had created or if the attack was only targeted at him, as Xu Ming seemed completely fine.

"Hun Luan pays his respects to mother," said Hun Luan as he slightly shook, no one, maybe even not him would know if he was shaking from the cold or from the fear of meeting his mother-in-law.

Looking at the still-bowing Hun Luan, a smile appeared on Xu Yue's face, but sadly for him, he was not able to see it.

"You can get up," said Xu Yue as the frosty look in her eyes disappeared, seeming to finally be satisfied with torturing her son-in-law.

"What are their names?" asked Xu Yue, now turning to her daughter, and once again smiled.

"Xu Sheng and Xu Guangqi," said Xu Ming as she nervously stared at her smiling mother, hoping that the names satisfied her.

"Good," mumbled Xu Yue alongside something else somehow neither of the two cultivators managed to hear.

Without saying anything else, Xu Yue walked out of Xu Ming's room leaving the two Dao Companions alone.

As soon as Xu Yue walked out of the room, both Hun Luan and Xu Ming let out a deep sigh, when suddenly, a surprised expression appeared on Xu Ming's face.

"Finally," mumbled Xu Ming.

...

"It happened as soon as I walked out, was I too harsh?" thought Xu Yue as she used her spiritual sense to peep into the specially prepared room.

Looking at the small baby in the hands of one of the maids, a smile appeared on Xu Yue's face, causing Hun Luan, who stood a few meters a few away from her to somehow feel a chill in his heart.

Seeing Hun Luan look so scared, a smile appeared on Xu Chao's face.

"Don't be scared, Yue won't harm you, at most she will merely train your fighting skills," said Xu Chao as he patted Hun Luan on his back.

"You won't die," thought Xu Chao with a smile on his face as he used his experience from dealing with Wu Jing to make a calculated deduction on what would happen to Hun Luan in the next period of time.

Uncaring about the conversation between the two of them, Xu Yue stared at her daughter with a bright smile on her face.

As a cultivator, the pain of childbirth was nothing to Xu Ming, the reason she needed help was that, right now, she was focusing everything on nourishing the child and granting it the best potential possible, as such she could not focus on the other small trouble.

The moment she looked at the maids that were currently helping Xu Ming give birth, Xu Yue immediately recognized the resemblance with the ones that helped at her own birth.

But that was not what Xu Yue was focused on, looking at the two tiny and slightly wrinkly children in the hands of the maids, the smile on Xu Yue's face bloomed.

"Finally," mumbled Xu Ming as soon as she had given birth to the second child, as soon as that happened, a tiny painting suddenly flew out of her body.

That same body completely disappeared mere moments later.

"Much better," mumbled Xu Ming as she returned to her original body, and mere moments after that, she brought the two tiny children into her arms.

"You are Xu Sheng, and you are Xu Guangqi," said Xu Ming before staring into the eyes of the children with a smile on her face.

A few moments after that, the formation surrounding the room was suddenly disabled, causing Hun Luan to charge inside with bloodshot eyes.

Looking at Xu Ming, who was holding two small children in her arms, Hun Luan couldn't contain himself and hugged Xu Ming from behind, but even so, it seemed as if she was deathly afraid of the children as he dared to touch them.

Feeling the warmth of Hun Luan's hug, a smile appeared on Xu Ming's face.

"Let's leave those two alone for a while, this is not a place for us old people to interfere," said Xu Yue, causing Bing Yue to nod before the two of them walked away.

A few minutes after that, Xu Chao and Wu Jing also left, of course, the two talked with Xu Ming and Hun Luan for a while before doing so.

"They grow up so fast," mumbled Wu Jing as she looked at the family of four behind her with a smile on her face.
