Beginning [Part 2]

Looking at the little girl standing in the distance, as if waiting for something to happen, a frown appeared on Xu Lanfeng's face.

"Fellow Daoist like you noticed it too?" asked Xu Lanfeng, still staring at the little girl, ready to take action at any moment.

"Yes, it seems like these attackers are True Immortals that somehow managed to descend by restricting their power, otherwise I can't think of any other way for someone to resist Fellow Daoist Xu's Heart Sword Dao completely unharmed," said the Elemental Daoist, before suddenly appearing behind the little girl without any warning.

Trying to use surprise to his advantage, the spear in the hands of the elemental Daoist suddenly transformed into five different spears, each of them stabbing toward different body parts of the little girl.

At the same time, Xu Lanfeng suddenly appeared in front of the little girl, as her sword stabbed toward the latter's neck.

As she did this, some thoughts couldn't help but appear in Xu Lanfeng's mind.

'Did something seal the Heavenly Dao?' thought Xu Lanfeng, as an earlier premonition she had turned out to be somewhat true.

The moment she saw that an entire region had been annihilated from existence, Xu Lanfeng had already guessed that something fishy was going on, but right now, as the Heavenly Dao did not even try to stop the fight between being at the True Immortal Level, her guess was fully confirmed.

All of these thought's entered Xu Lanfeng's mind in only a fraction of a moment, as she then focused on the fight in front of her.

...

Staring at the endless wave of bugs coming from the horizon using her spiritual sense, Meng Lin couldn't help but frown.

Although individually, these bugs were very weak, their number was incredibly vast, so much so that even Meng Lin was someone worried.

"This could be troublesome," mumbled Meng Lin as she suddenly got up before expanding her spiritual sense to its true size.

Merely a moment later, a huge dome of light appeared around the Myriad Formation's Valley as two men as well as a woman suddenly appeared before Meng Lin.

"Disciple has seen teacher," simultaneously said the three cultivator's as they bowed to Meng Lin.

"Call back all of the disciples, three days later, I will completely close the Grand Formation, from then on, no one will enter and no will exit," said Meng Lin as she looked at her three disciples.

"Understood," said the disciples, even though they were still somewhat bewildered about what had actually happened.

"Very well, you can leave now," said Meng Lin as she waved her hand, allowing her disciples to leave.

Hearing that, none of her disciples asked any questions, walking out of the room and leaving Meng Lin alone.

After a few moments, Meng Lin let out a soft sigh, staring into the distance deep in thought.

...

As she opened her eyes, a frown appeared on Two's face.

"Someone sealed that timeline?" mumbled Two, feeling her incarnation be suddenly thrown out.

'Was it the Dao Ancestor, those beasts, or something else entirely?' thought the second as she closed her eyes, carefully examining the seal on the timeline.

But after what appeared like a few moments, the Second suddenly opened her eyes, a frown appearing on her face.

Although the seal was somewhat rough, it still had a very much immense amount of power contained within it, but because of this, the seal looked like it could have been created by anyone.

If an incarnation of her's had enough power at any particular moment, the second could also probably create such a seal, even with her extremely lackluster mastery of Formations.

...

At this moment, a mortal swordswoman was walking through a forest, as the wind blew through her hair.

As she continued walking, the temperature slowly but surely fell, causing her to slightly shiver.

After a few moments, a small smile appeared on the face of the swordswoman, as she finally saw a small temple on a hill in the distance.

The moment the swordswoman saw the temple her speed suddenly increased, as she was no longer as conservative in conserving her energy, reaching a speed almost equal to that of a horse.

Only ten minutes, later, the swordswoman reached the bottom of the hill, before walking on a stone path toward the temple.

Now that the hardest part of her journey was over, the swordswoman was finally able to relax, reaching the top of the hill in only five minutes.

As soon as the swordswoman reached the top of the hill, she gazed at the small temple with a smile on her face before quickly opening it's doors and stepping in.

The first thing that greeted the swordswoman when she walked in was an old man.

At a first glance, the old man seemed to be dead, being extremely skinny, with his bones being completely visible to the plain eye.

But unlike what one might expect, the moment the swordswoman walked in, the eyes of the old man suddenly opened, as he raised his head and stared at her.

"Youngster, what might bring you to this old temple," asked the old man, looking at the swordswoman with no visible emotions in his eyes.

Hearing that, the swordswoman sat down crosslegged on the ground.

"I'm searching for someone," said the swordswoman as she turned her head towards the old man.

Hearing that, a frown appeared on the face of the old man, as he let out a sigh.

"I see, if young hero continues on their path, they will surely find what they are searching for," said the old man as he took one final look at the swordswoman before closing his eyes once again.

...

"It looks like it's not the Dao Ancestor," mumbled the second as she turned her attention to the two little beings in front of her.

A little bird, barely the size of a finger gazed at the second with it's two large eyes, while next to it, sat a small lizard, peacefully sleeping.
