Ambition

Ming Yun slightly shook as she felt her senior sister poke her on the cheek, after all these years of being next to Xu Yue, Ming Yun had become extremely good at detecting her senior sister's presence.

"Since when were you here, senior sister?" asked Ming Yun as she silently removed Xu Yue's finger from her cheek, trying the bury the uncomfortable feeling she felt deep in her heart.

Looking at her senior sister, Ming Yun once again felt something she had not felt in years, pressure, of course it was not Xu Yue that was trying to do so, but the unconceivable difference in their strength.

Realizing that, sadness permeated Ming Yun, but even so, she did not let it show on her face at all.

Suddenly, as if for no reason, Xu Yue embraced Ming Yun from behind before letting her head go into Xu Yue's chest.

"You shouldn't be sad, you know I wouldn't replace you," said Xu Yue as gently patted Ming Yun's head, causing her to slightly relax.

Hearing what her senior sister had to say, small tears appeared in the corners of Ming Yun's eyes, she then, for the first time in her life began crying before falling in Xu Yue's lap.

Xu Yue did not say anything, merely continuing to let Ming Yun vent her emotions.

A few minutes later,

Having gotten up from Xu Yue's lap, Ming Yun looked towards her senior sister with embarrassment present on her face

"Senior sister, I'm sorry," said Ming Yun as she slightly bowed, the sadness inside of her seemed to have flowed out alongside her tears.

"Please don't do anything stupid then," said Xu Yue as she flicked Ming Yun's forehead before walking out of her room.

As she looked at her senior sister's back, Ming Yun suddenly sat crosslegged, a mysterious aura appearing around her.

Several days later,

Shi Yao and Shi Xia stood in the middle of a room, having just finished their performances.

"Continue," said Xu Yue as she felt Ye Qiao's dexterous hands massage her shoulders, as she continued massaging Xu Yue's shoulder, Ye Qiao suddenly looked to the right.

"Since when has she been here," thought Ye Qiao as she looked at Ming Yun who stood on the right of Xu Yue, she was sure that she was not here mere moments ago, even her spiritual sense had not picked up anyone being there until she saw her with her own eyes.

As if feeling Ye Qiao's gaze, Ming Yun's eyes slightly looked towards her, causing Ye Qiao to feel a slight chill in her heart.

"What is this," mumbled Ye Qiao, causing Xu Yue to look towards her.

"Is this what you have chosen?" asked Xu Yue as she looked toward Ming Yun with a slightly surprised expression on her face.

"Yes," said Ming Yun, her voice seemingly causing a barrier to break around them.

Shi Yao's eyes suddenly widened as she saw Ming Yun appear next to Xu Yue, still she recovered a few moments later, not wanting to dig deeper with her meager cultivation base.

As Ming Yun responded to Xu Yue a sword appeared in her hands, slightly bowing, she presented the sword to Xu Yue.

Seeing the sword, Xu Yue finally became slightly surprised, as she looked at it, Xu Yue felt something slightly disturbing from the sword.

As she looked at the sword with a not yet formed consciousness and felt the Dao that formed the sword, Xu Yue's eyes became slightly more gentle.

"You don't have to be so reckless," said Xu Yue as she handed the sword to Ming Yun.

"What is it?" asked Xu Yue as she beckoned for Ming Yun to come closer.

"My sword dao only has one purpose, to protect senior sister, and, even if I betray senior sister, it will not!" said Ming Yun, after she said that, Xu Yue's eyes slightly widened as she saw Ming Yun's own dao resist her uttering those words.

After slightly calming down, Xu Yue sighed once again as she looked at the completely reckless Ming Yun, a slight smile forming on her face.

"Go look after Xu Ming," said Xu Yue as she used her loyal maid to escape her duties as a mother.

"Understood," said Ming Yun as she immediately disappeared from sight.

After that, Xu Yue seemingly closed her eyes, enjoying Ye Qiao's massage

Inside of Xu Yue's mind,

Yue, alongside Xu Yue sat crosslegged inside of an enormous sea of consciousness, as the two did so, an enormous amount of information began flooding Xu Yue allowing Yue to finally slack off.

"You lied about how much time you spent in the real world," said Yue as she gritted her teeth and thought about the amount of time she had to pick up the slack for.

"Why do you sound so mad? It's not that difficult anymore," said Xu Yue as she resisted the flow of information while being quite relaxed.

Hearing that, Yue barely resisted the impulse to take out her sword and begin fighting with this main body of hers.

"Am I so shameless," mumbled Yue as she silently sunk into meditation.

"You are," said Xu Yue as she looked at the meditating Yue.

A sword appeared in Xu Yue's left hand as she blocked Yue's attack.

"I found the technique we were looking for, why are you so angry?" asked Xu Yue.

Hearing Xu Yue change the subject, Yue gritted her teeth before sitting crosslegged, ignoring Xu Yue.

Seeing this, Xu Yue became silent and began to silently split out a part of her consciousness.

In the real world,

Opening her eyes, Xu Yue looked around before she began controlling her body once again.

"Even though I don't have all of my strength, it's more than enough, Yue will pick up the slack if necessary," thought Xu Yue as she got up from Ye Qiao's lap before disappearing.

Using her spiritual sense to look around for the first time in ten years, Xu Yue was in deep thought as a certain ambition creeped into her heart.
