Skeleton Lord

"Log in…"

As he uttered these words, his vision and mind once again merge back into the World Of SCOR.

As his vision becomes fully adjusted to the environment infront of him, he can see the same dark and rocky environment he was last at before logging out.

"Achy, how fast do you think it will take to get out of his shithole?"

{[It Will Roughly Take 2 Days]}

'2 ingame days is approximately….. 5 Hours In Real Life, I think..'

Nameless sighs before taking time to observe his environment, he didn't really realize before since he was in combat, but the space he's in is so massive that even his eyes that are adjusted to darkness can't fully see that far ahead of him. The environment also smells like…. Blood?? That was a bad sign. Maybe people already died down here.

"Shit, I really don't want to die down here."

Along with resetting back 5 levels if you die, all weapons that are not in your inventory and currently equipped will be left where you died on top of the 5 level set back.

Nameless sighs before spotting his 2 daggers he previously through before walking over to pick them up. Their state seems to have deteriorated since, most likely from the dusty environment.

He puts the two daggers into his inventory and puts the sword he gained from the previous battle onto his back.

Nameless then looks up. He can see the sky, albeit faintly. It's so far down not even light reaches him fully.

Nameless then sets his head back down and starts to wander the dark environment.

{[What're You Doing?]}

'Her tone is still as snobby as ever.'

"I'm looking for a way out, are you that stupid?"

{[Sorry I Just Didn't Think Someone Of Your Caliber Would Be Able To Think To Look For A Way Out]}

"You called me fat and now dumb?"

{[No, I Called You Obese And Braindead]}

"Very funny, no one's laughing."

{[People Laugh At Jokes, Not The Truth]}

As Nameless continues to wander around the space, he finds a tunnel. Since it being his only choice of a way out, he reluctantly starts to explore the tunnel, still wary for any encounters, and hoping it doesn't collapse.

An hour later..

"Achy," Nameless's Voice Is Full Of Annoyance.

{[What Do You Want]} Achy's voice is snarky.

"We've been going in circles haven't we?"

{[Wow, You Aren't As Braindead As I thought]}

"Tskk… You should've told me sooner."

{[Sorry, It Was Too Funny Watching You Get Annoyed Going In Circles For The Past Hour]}

"Shut up and just display the optimal route on the GPS."

A line of light can be seen appearing before him leading him into a direction and fading off into the darkness infront of him. As he follows the light, he can hear what sounds to be, water, water all the way down here? Is that bad or good? He can't tell.

A couple minutes later he can see light, as he exits the tunnel, it's still dark however he can see torches scattered about. It seems he found his next enemies. The water he heard earlier can still be heard but it's still not visible, which means it's probably a lot further away.

Nameless quickly huddles down observing the environment surrounded by the torches. He can see more skeletons guarding the place. It was probably the place that sent those skeletons down the tunnel, they were probably a scout party, his fall was pretty loud after all.

'They must be quite stupid to only send 2 Skeleton Knights with 22 Skeleton Archers,' Nameless thought.

The stench of blood is stronger here even though all he sees are skeletons.

'I wonder where that smell is coming from.'

As he observes the encampment, he can see a makeshift rock hut in the middle surrounded by skeleton knights, there's a rock wall surrounding that is covered to the brim with archers.

'There must be a Skeleton Lord inside.'

A Lord monster is kind of like a mini-boss, it can evolve into a king and eventually an emperor. It's simply just a stronger version of the normal monster but frighteningly powerful.

The Skeleton Lord in particular has a high amount of mana, which is not seen in the normal skeletons.

'Shit, I ran into quite the troublesome opponent. Forget about surviving, I'll be toast if I can't take care of this guy properly.'

The path of light that led him here can be seen to go through the encampment. He could go around, but getting spotted by the archers is highly likely, especially since their Lord must be supplying them constant mana. The more mana you have, the more your senses will increase, and typically in a darker environment they must have upped their vision by a lot.

Nameless quickly rushes down from the tunnel, trying his best to blend in with the darkness. He observes the encampment up close before sneaking inside. His cat-like ability to maneuver sure does come in handy in situations like this.

As he sneaks inside the camp, he takes a small peek inside the hut.

'That definitely is a Skeleton Lord."

{[I Advise You Run]}

"Shut up, I'm just looking at it."

The Skeleton Lord Stands Up From An Obsidian Chair.

{[And It's Looking At You]}

Before Nameless could say anything, the Lord swings his sword, severing his rock hut in the process. All Nameless can do is dodge it, it's like he's playing a game of Limbo, just that it's a death game instead.

As he recovers from the sudden attack, he launches a swift counter and quickly closes the gap and swings his sword slicing off the Lord's arm.

"Hah, even if you are a Lord, you still have that weak ass skeleton durability."

{[YOU FUCKING IDIOT, RUN!]}

The Skeleton Lord quickly regenerates his arm and swings his sword again, this time slicing off one of Nameless's hands in the process.

"AHHHHH!" Nameless screams in pain, even if it's VR, the pain mechanism in this game feels just like real life.

Nameless tries his best to increase the gap between the two of them.

He's standing there, panting, his vision a tad blurry.

{[Health Is Now 0835/8000]}

"Shit, I really am underleveled for this shit."

All Nameless can do is try and survive.

"Use 3 HP Pot—"

Suddenly, he quickly gets stabbed in the back, it seems he forgot about the other skeletons. Before he even has time to recover from the sudden stab, an arrow gets lodged deep into his arm.

Nameless groans in pain.

{[Health Is Now 0327/8000]}

"I FUCKING HATE THIS GAME!!"

A sword quickly goes through his stomach.

|{YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE STATUS EFFECT 'BLEED'}|

{[Health Is Now 0013/8000]}

Nameless's vision slowly starts to fade.

{[Health Is Now 0006/8000]}

{[Health Is Now 0001/8000]}

{[Health Is Now 0, Replacing Health With Mana]}

This is how he survived the fall from earlier. In SCOR, once you run out of HP, your MP stat will replace it instead. It can be useful but having your mana eating away means less skills to use.

|{YOU HAVE DIED}|

Nameless's body becomes concealed in pixels before disappearing, leaving nothing but the sword he was using on the ground.
