1 Prologue

The day began before sunrise, it always did, if you lived in New York. They call it the city that never sleeps. I never really got what they ment until I started living here, first night l tossed and turned trying to block out the noise; for someone from a small town like me the glitz and glamour of the city can be a little overwhelming.

I remember the day when I first moved here, fresh out of College looking for a little adventure, and moving to the city seemed like the way to go. The prospect of living in an entirely different place was both exciting and frightened to be honest, I was nothing more than a young kid looking for adventure back then. Well given that was only two years ago, I know most people would be like that wasn't long ago; but to me it felt like eones ago. Okay that may be a little bit of an overstatement, but I have matured since then even if only a little.

Some people call this city the greatest in the world, honestly I would have to disagree; why you ask well if you work here then you should know, transport can be kind of a bitch. Now don't get me wrong he city is exciting that is if you're visiting, however if you work here then you know what your boss expected of you. That was to be at work by seven on the dot, no excuses. Just be there, and if you weren't, well then there were plenty of people to take your place, it felt like being watched by valchours.

"Well the money's not bad though it could be better. I mean the hours are a real killer, you're told that they could someone else to do the job but you really wonder about that. Some times I wish there was more to life than this. "Haha" listen to me complaining about life, this must be why the old folks complain about millennials.

"Well aren't you an interesting young

"Excuse me?" said Aiden with one raised as he turn around to see who interrupted his thoughts. Behind him was a strange man in a man dressed in full back, he seemed to be middle-aged man wearing a hat, an overcoat, black straight cut pants, and black loafers with gold tips.

He looked quite wealthy "A businessman perhaps" After sizing up the man the asked. "Who are you"

"Oh!, me I'm nobody important. Just a man that's treading down this road. The stranger said with a slight smile on his face.

"Okay, well then enjoy your walk," said Aiden as he turned around to leave.

"Are you not curious as to why I called you interesting?" Asked the stranger.

Aiden stopped as soon he heard the man's question, eighty percent of him was sure the man was either crazy or running some scam he could not deny the other twenty percent that was curious.

Aiden turn his head to reply but before he could do so.

"You are a unique individual Mr Clayton, a soul that has gone thought life never really finding any purpose. Seeing life as predictable and mundane, but what if I could offer you an opportunity to live a glorious life were all your dreams could come true.

"How did he...no, that's not important. Is this some kind of scam but how did he know the things he did, he could have just guessed that but....said Aiden as he looked this mysterious man before him.

Aiden gazed at this stranger infront of him suspiciously before asking "What did you mean by lead a glorious life?"
