World Invasion: Cultivation

I've read transmigration novels, but they've never had too many people transferred at once. I want to change that by bringing an entire world and plop it over another. How would two technological time periods clash? How will they adapt to a magic/cultivation based world where technology is less than an after thought? *** =Rewriting In progress= -=Progress 21%+Old World Lore and Prologue=- (Each percent = Corresponding chapter number) *** Ip Cheng, an oriental man whose been away from his birth country since 8 finally returns at 19. He hasn't fully been separated from the culture though as he's read cultivation novels while away. He's come to reminisce a little about his past as well as take a break to enjoy his stay. Not long after though a quaking erupts from the earth as he loses consciousness. When he wakes up nothing seems different, until new land is suddenly discovered. It's almost like one of the transmigration novels he's read, but who is the protagonist? Normally it's just one person who's transferred, but what about now? Also Yanderes, multiple Yanderes, many Yanderes, just enough Yanderes. Please tell me if you spot any errors or plot holes in my writing. That would be greatly appreciated, thank you. Schedule: I'm enjoying writing YSM more right now, possible resumption in the future. P.S This is my first time writing a novel and I'm doing this for fun.

New world?

(Kenny POV)

***

After driving Ip Cheng to the airport I waved goodbye and drove home. The airport was quite a drive away from my house, so when I made it home in a suburban neighborhood it was already 1 Am. I went straight to bed placing my phone on the end table and instantly fell asleep.

*YAWN* Waking up and looking around, an unusual amount of time had passed as a nearby digital clock showed 7:36 Pm.

'Oh shit, I missed my doctor's appointment. I should probably call to reschedule it or something... Wait a minute, I slept for 19 hours?! Nah, it can't be. There must be something wrong with the clock.'

Taking my phone off the end table, I tried calling my scheduled doctor. It didn't connect, so I tried again, nothing. Finally taking a look at my phone I realized I had no signal.

'Huh how's that possible, did they decide to cut my WIFI and data at the same time? I swore I paid the bills just 3 days ago!'

Deciding to deal with it for a little bit I went over to my stove to cook some food and watch some TV along with it. Turning on the TV only static appeared and annoyed by the noise I turned it off.

'Ok maybe something is going on, but food comes first.'

Quickly putting together a toasted chicken sandwich, I began going outside to figure out what's happening. It was getting a little late so I should probably hurry a bit.

As I got outside I notice some people were already here down the road near the intersection, but they were grouped up crowding around a few police cars shouting back and forth. Not wanting to deal with that drama I started driving my car the other way opting for a little longer drive to my destination than a possible involvement in a potential riot.

Driving along the way it was a little weird, people seemed a lot more irritated and annoyed then normal. At least there weren't as many people who were playing on their phones while driving, in fact I don't think I saw anyone doing it.

Reaching my destination I got out of my car and headed inside immediately.

Once inside the barren reception room became apparent to me. 'Huh? Weird there's always someone at the desk here, did something happen here?'

Not knowing what to do I just stood there for a second before a man franticly walked out of the employees only door.

I instantly recognized him as my doctor.

"Doctor Loran! Why is the place so empty?" Looking around the room

Perhaps a little frightened he jumped a little and dropped his bag before turning around.

"Don't scare me like that.. Kenny? Why are you here, don't you know what happened?" He said picking up his bag and the few belongings which fell out.

"I've come to reschedule my appointment I missed. I went asleep for a while this morning only waking up a little while ago, did something big happen? Could you fill me in on it?" I asked even more confused then before I walked in.

Loran widened his eyes a little, "Are you serious? How could you of slept through that earthquake to miss the whole damn thing?! Well basically around 6 - 6:30 Pm a massive earthquake appeared, somehow nothing was really damaged, but no one can use anything that requires a satellite now.

That means most modern ways of communication is down and chaos could erupt in our country at any moment since our police system won't be as reliable now that one has to physically go to the stations to get help. Many corrupt and evil people may take this chance to loot stores and other valuable locations that police can't defend at the same time."

"Can't they go up and see what's wrong or just send more satellites up?" I asked while sitting down in a nearby chair.

"Well its not like I know what our government is doing, but I'm sure if they could send satellites up there then we would of by now at least heard from them. Its also only been around an hour so as long as too much time hasn't passed people will still be okay for a bit, right?" He spoke while giving me a wry smile.

Astonished by the news fear creeps in a bit, "I.. I have to go home. I'll see you later doctor."

"Yeah.."

Rushing out to my car I drove it straight home passing by the same police cars that are now slightly battered with the officers or the crowd nowhere to be seen.

'Did things really go south so quickly? There's no blood anywhere though so that's a good sign. I think.'

Reaching my garage I fumbled and dropped my keys in a panic to open my door. Once I picked them up I went inside and I took out my phone dialing up Ip Cheng.

'Man this is crazy, I slept through a disaster and the world's going crazy and and.. and.... the satellites aren't working... Damn I already forgot.'

Slowly placing the phone on a nearby table I wonder, what am I going to do now?

Well the world might be in an blackout apocalypse now, so I suppose I should prepare or something. Searching every room in my house I've decided to bring just basic necessities, a bunch of long term food, money for travel fees, and a bag of 46 plastic purple potatoes all packed in a suitcase.

This exact number of plastic purple potatoes was critical to me. It had to both be 46 of them as well as them being Plastic Purple Potatoes.

'I got to get outta here before everyone turns crazy, but where should I go? Airports probably won't work anymore, boats might work or I could pass the border over to the Middle Kingdom and see if I can make contact with Ip Cheng.

Alright I'll do that I guess, the place he went over to on the plane should of been one of the towns closer to the western sea so it'll take a while.'

Getting out I make sure to lock the door, even though I know it might just be busted down by looters I gotta at least try right? Entering and closing the driver side door I took one last look at my house to engrave it into my memory just incase as this could be the last time I see it. Tapping on the GPS app nothing happens confusing me for a moment before remembering.

*SIGH* How the fuck do you use this map? I think I'm going in the general direction of the country. While driving towards an intersection there was a crowd of people surrounding a man. Wanting to turn back the way I came I noticed there were other cars behind me beeping at me to move up. Seeing no way out I suppose I had to go forward. Slowly pressing my foot on the pedal and inching closer I could finally hear the man through my car. He was surrounded by soldiers and officers while holding a megaphone.

Looking around at the crowd he speaks into the megaphone "Don't panic, don't panic, its going to be okay. We've contacted the other nations and they also experienced it so it's not an indication of war. The other four nations seem to have new land attached to them and are currently exploring it with their people. Once the first teams return we will then decide what to do. Please return to your homes and await further news and instructions."

Reluctantly returning home and tossing the suitcase on a couch I sit down.

'Well at least the government still has some control and it isn't an apocalypse of any kind, yet. It was probably too rash for me to try and cross an entire country anyway. I was too hasty in my preparations too.'

| Two days later |

Hearing a knock on my door I went to open it only to find a piece of paper on my door step. Taking it inside I started to read it:

***

The new world is dangerous! A few of the exploration teams did not make it back telling horrific stories of monsters. From now on NO civilian is allowed to leave for the new land until we get established on the land. This establishment period shall last around 6 months to a year.

Hear what these victims have to say!

The internet is dead!!!

Communication and you!

Riots in the south appearing!

We need you! Join the military now!

People quit their jobs fearing their last days!

Preppers say, "I knew this would happen eventually! I knew all along! It was only a matter of when! Not if! Now look at us! Completely prepared for this situation!"

***

Putting down the paper and sipping some coffee I wonder, what did they find out there?

I'm was to release this during that time but got side tracked, sorry!
