Morning in the mansion.

*Radio static*

"Hmm do the waves not reach this island or does the island have a magnetic field that disrupts the radio waves? nah maybe just radio waves"

Lizzy was trying to find a radio station from a small radio she found at one of the rooms, the battery was still good even after a while so she decided to use it and at the very least make the mansion less gloomy as if its haunted by the dead.

"Lets set it to automatic then and let it find its own channel while i set up something to cook the ape on, the kitchen had some seasonings albeit some are expired and rotten"

Lizzy walked out of the room she was in while carrying the radio on her tail, the radio was small and looked blocky with some painted wood textures on the handle while the body was retro looking for a modern item, the static continued till she reached a news channel.

"With the worlds current situation, the world leaders have decided to band together into a united organisation that shall hence forth be called the Earth Strategic Defense Federation or ESDF for short, they are currently planning to build a central HQ in the area between the Eurasian empire and the Panda empire, the world leaders plan to move all the citizens or whats left of it after the continuous siege of the beast, to the biggest piece of land on earth, each country will build fortress cities close to each other in order to properly support each other, though the Panda and Eurasian leaders are denying the act as they take it as a sign of possible future invasions from other countries" Radio Reporter.

"Sheesh even at a time like this the world is still filled with sin and greed, everybody should just help each other, anyway lets forget about that since im no longer human and more like the mutated beasts"

Lizzy found an empty fridge and flipped it over to take the steel sheet at its back, the stove was a measly double burner that was connected to a gas tank so she decided to take the whole thing outside of the mansion, she got some squarish rocks and used them as the legs for the steel plate while turning on the stove with her tail, she was currently leisurely due to her making up her mind to take a one day break and eat some ape barbecue, she was planning to leave the island since the centipedes are still too strong for her and the rats are getting low in number even though they breed fast, lizzys hunting and the armies hunting dwindled the rat population so she couldnt rinse and repeat.

As for the military camp, theyve been noisy since yesterday as more and more vehicles began patrolling thus making her traps ineffective, she collapsed the tunnels the night before since she didnt want anymore confrontation with heavily armed soldiers.

Lizzy took out the ape from her inventory and cleaned off the burnt areas along with the crunch groin, she didnt want to eat that area, lizzy then took out her knife from her inventory, and by knife it was a bone saw, it seems the owner of the mansion was a doctor that had lots of medical tools in a closet in the masters bedroom, that or the owner was a psycho murderer, lizzy liked to think its the former, this particular bone saw was was very sharp and tough as if it was made of something harder than steel.

"Lets cut it into steak cuts, though i might need to roast the massive arms"

Lizzy began cutting and then after she cut it, she would drag the meat towards the metal plate and sprinkle salt on it along with some peppers to remove the smell as for the oil on her pan, its just the ape steaks natural oil, the mansion didnt have any oil even though it had the basic spices.

The meat placed on the metal plate sizzled and the scent wafted towards lizzy making her hungrier than before, mentally, since having a void as a stomach keeps physical hunger at bay.

On the entire island numerous vehicles roared and many guns boomed as the military began an aggressive hunt, the worms would be defeated at the cost of some soldiers but there werent that many anymore due to their earlier cautious hunting, with the ape gone they could finally expand their HQ further, while the centipedes were a problem, they had ways on defeating it courtesy of Cpt.Price, he armed the soldiers with explosive vests while they attempted to toss grenades into the maw of the beasts, the centipedes exterior might be tough but its insides were still soft so they were able to defeat it with similar costs as the former.

Soldiers got sent to the island repeatedly and the government even sent some civilians for them to train into usable human resources to expand the island territory, these civilians were promised resources for their families and for those who have none, higher rights than the regular civilians giving them ranks similar to military personnel.

"Rats have been scarce these days i cant even find a single one after a few days, maybe theyve hid or left the island due to my and the militarys genocidal acts"

As lizzy ate she got the genodes of the ape, albeit unable to get it all due to the burning of some areas, she was able to harvest quite a lot from the ape and got some 2nd tiers as well.

"System what are the requirements for mutant beasts to evolve into 2nd tier?"

"Host, it would be to have 2nd tier genodes that are as many as 50% of the creatures current 1st tier genodes, the ape the host fought had 65% worth of 2nd tier genodes in comparison to its 1st tier genodes, if the host wants further elaboration, the ape was just a small ape so it only had 4000 worth of 1st tier genodes as its limits, its 2nd tier genodes were 2600 in total thus qualifying for 2nd tier and yes both have the systems tax so the systen will take half the amount of the genodes the hosts ingests"

"Ah tax, even with the golden finger you cant escape it"

Lizzy kept on eating till only half the ape was left and stored it into her inventory, she plans to swim off the island thus she needed some energy reserves and that is the other half of the ape, she got ready to leave and packed her belongings, she didnt have any, whilst the island boomed and many flames bloomed as the army attacked and cleared the island, they were the other reason she couldnt stay otherwise she would have to conflict with them lots.

"System can you please point me out in advance to the closest villages i can go to? maybe some fishing villages?"

The map infront of lizzy began to dilate as it showed the entire world on it, then dots appeared on nearby areas where a fishing village was possible, the system didnt tell the exact location and only added vague dots on the map, if zoomed in many dots would appear and on those dots a village may or may not be there.

"System youre good but sometimes you make me hate you"

"Host the system will not help the host find the locations, pointing out some places for the host is already the limit that the system can stretch the rules"

"Rules huh, youre starting to sound like a worker of sorts, anyway the nearest are sakura empire and panda empire huh, theres also the mariannas islands and the water buffalo empire, theres also the bald eagle empire, hmm might find one on the water buffalo empire since the sakura, eagle, and my homeland have proper and better weaponry, theyre also researching weaponry unlike this small empire, honestly all ive seen on this country are tourist spots"

Lizzy walked into the attic and rummaged around the stuff there, she might find some stuff she could use, lizzy tossed a jointed doll, a box filled with cards similar to that magic card game, tossed away a usb like thing that had forgotten thrills marked at its side, and etc.

All she could find useful out of all the things she found was weirdly enough a working exoskeleton in the attic.

"Yup the owner of this mansion was not a normal doctor"

Lizzy placed the exoskeleton into her inventory and then exited the mansion, she turned and looked at the massive place she was calling her home albeit for a short time only, she still felt some emotions as she looked at the house that didnt belong to her but kept her dry during the rainy days.

"Bye bye creepy house that could be haunted, ill miss you"

She turned and then made her way towards the shore, the shore where her journey towards evolution began.

Hours after lizzy left.

A group of people arrived at the village, there were about 7 of them and one was wounded, they all wore all black outfits and bullet proof vests, the person was being carried into the building while the other people stayed on guard, the injured mans wounds were being sterilised by another person in their group, upon closer inspection the injured mans wound was from a bullet.

"Nnngh! fuck that stings!" Black 1.

"Quit being a cry baby, if you hadnt rushed at the front of those soldiers immediately and followed the plan we couldve captured that rat they were chasing" Black 2.

"Those guys looked like total freshmeat, how would i have known that they were good shooters?" Black 1.

"Youre lucky that they only hit your shoulder and thigh, otherwise youd be dying right about now" Black 2.

The two continued bantering, Black 2 did this to ensure that Black 1 wouldnt close his eyes and sleep since although he was shot on his shoulder and thigh, he still lost a lot of blood.

"So whats the new plan? we need to capture an extraordinary creature for the boss and he specifically told us to capture one on this island" Black 1.

"None yet, we will have to make a new plan, as for why he wanted a creature on this island we will never know, although i did some research about the island, it seems this place used to be a bio enhancement research facility, they used to test strengthening agents on apes that once inhabited this island, all died except one, we need to stay away from that one, i got the file of that ape from a broker, Test Ape #55, it successfully absorbed the agent and mutated into an ape with massive arms and its body grew to about 5 meters, this info is very old so the ape might be bigger, the strengthening substance injected into this ape was made from a bio meteor that landed at the Shara Desert, the news was covered up, it was once located on A51 but transferred here to prevent it from being found and yet here we are"

Black 2 kept talking about the information he got about the island and the ape, the others got closer as well to listen in and get their informative fill.
