The world was thrown into chaos when usual enemies, the British and the Americans, have decided to unite and take over the Asian countries. And it made the Asian countries merge together and built a new empire, called the Tongyi Empire, meaning the United Empire. Surprisingly, it was a woman who united them and it has been peaceful ever since.

Shao Tian is currently the top class assassin and has been fighting in the frontlines in the border of Kazakhstan. People have regarded her as the Empress' favorite lap dog as she was only loyal to her.

She stopped in front of the Empress' study room door and gently opened it.

"You called for me, Your Majesty?" she asked as she entered the room.

The woman in the shadows only gestured for her to come to her with her gold, robotic hand.

She was never nervous in front of any enemies, but when she is about to face the Battle Empress, the woman who was considered the Battle Goddess as she killed a lot of enemies in the battlefield. And it was this woman who had built this prosperous empire from the dust.

"I want to remove you from the front lines, Shao Tian," the Empress said as she kept reading some files.

"But, who will lead the front lines, your majesty?" she asked.

"You don't have to worry much about the borders. I could send the Japanese twins in your place," the Empress said.

The Japanese twins, Shojiro and Okino. These two are known to be ruthless in the battlefield. The Western soldiers would always shiver when they face the twins as the twins were known to cut their enemy's head off. And to top it all off, they are merciless. They would kill every enemy they find and would take no prisoners.

"If you think they are worthy, your Majesty, I would not object," she said.

"Good. I thought you would oppose me," the Empress laughed.

"I am in no place to oppose you, your Majesty," Shao Tian said. She has placed her whole trust on the Empress' judgment of the situation.

"I want to place you in charge of the Battle Goddess Operation. They recently reported to me that some pieces of information about the B.G Operations are being leaked. I want you to investigate that for me," the Empress said as she placed her hand on her chin.

"Yes, your Majesty," she said.

The Empress paused for a moment.

"Alright. That would be all," she said as she waved off her loyal subject away.

But before Shao Tian could stand up, the Empress spoke again.

"Oh, by the way, you're allowed to not follow the chain of command. You will only report to me and you will only follow my instructions. Am I understood?" she said.

Shao Tian bowed to the Empress as she nodded.

"Yes, your Majesty. Will that be all?" she asked.

"Yes. As of the moment, that will be all," the Empress replied.

Shao Tian bowed to her before exiting her office. On her way to the lobby, she met the Japanese Twins who were also on their way to see the Empress.

"Yo, we heard you got transferred to a more boring job. Sad for you," Okino said teasingly.

"Well, she has been fighting in the front lines for 4 years already. She also needs to take a rest," Shojiro smiled. They seemed kind and playful like kids, but in reality, Shao Tian knows how heartless they are.

"Yep. I've been assigned to a boring job. The top tier assassin, assigned to do a boring job," she said.

"Oh come on. They said the B.G Operations have a commander that has a terrible temper. That might be fun for you to play around," Okino said.

"I just hope I don't lose my temper," Shao Tian said.

"Ahahaha, you won't. Their commander is actually a really funny person," Okino said, thinking about how he pranked the commander when he and his brother was still assigned on the B.G Operations. Shao Tian, the Japanese Twins together with 7 more of the top tier assassins in the Tongyi Empire are on the same team, the Assassin's Club in which the Empress is the Leader.

"I hope so. I'm not really a person who follows the chain of command," Shao Tian said.

"That's fine. The only person we're allowed to follow is the Empress herself. And speaking of Empress, she'd kill us if we're late for 1 more minute. Anyways, we'd kiss those Westie's for you once we reach the borders," Shojiro laughed as they walked away.

Shao Tian shook her head as she smiled while walking towards the reception.

"Stockroom 43," she said to her assistant as soon as she rode her car.

"Right away, ma'am," her assistant said.

If she was going to a place where it's worse than the battlefield, it's better she comes prepared.
