Lady Lucinda had always pledged allegiance to the reigning Queen of Menotalis, yet she found the first Princess to possess an even greater sense of majesty. This might have been due to the Princess's lineage as the only daughter of the recent and primary ruler of the country.

Princess Yanarym's turquoise eyes gazed at Lady Lucinda with no fear nor embarrassment despite receiving criticism of her action sitting in the wrong chair at the dining table.  The way that the first Princess gazed at the senior lady-in-waiting of Queen Eriela was as if she was telling through her eyes that Lady Lucinda should shut her mouth that was blabbering nonsense.
