CHAPTER 032: King Rashio’s Fault

It reminded Yanarym that when she bought a disguise, she was conned! The wig and the glasses probably would cost her five to eight copper coins, and that scammer took one gold coin from her.

Yanarym was determined to have her gold coin back. There was a thrift section connected to that shop, she should come back later to look around and bring home some magical things.

"Bookstore, first." She said, "The poison shop, the scammer's shop, and the barbeque stall."

The Original had a sharp mind, and Yanarym did not need Guide-sama's help to recall the places she had passed on. She even remembered where the bookstore and stationery were, which she had just had a glimpse of earlier.

She went to a stationary store to buy another set of pens and two pieces of notebooks. She also bought ten books that had updated laws and events related to Seerian. Just looking at the ten thick books that she took from the shelves she was starting to feel a headache.

It was not that bad though, because while Yanarym was browsing the shelves, a vague memory from the Original sneaking to read a book regarding Seerian would flashback to Yanarym's head. She was not that oblivious to the world.

Ten years had passed since the isolation. That meant she was a decade behind the latest law and ordinances in this world.

"I don't think these books are enough," she said.

It was true that just by staring at the massive books she was having a headache, it was also a fact that these would not be enough.

She was not a law student, but she had a friend back then who had a room for just books regarding the law and institution. In the third world, she had courses regarding it as well, those subjects were her thickest and most numerous books.

Reading ten books would not be enough. She probably needed to read a hundred to say that she was eligible to become a king of this continent.

Just by observing the citizens of Menotalis, it was apparent she had so much to learn regarding the background and setting of this world.

"It's a bummer that my castle is the only one that doesn't have a library. It's not like I could sneak to the other four castles to borrow a book."

If she only had a library in her palace, she would not need to buy these enormous books and carry them back to her chamber room that was on the second floor.

She could not be thankful even knowing it was only located on the second floor.

The stairs…

Just imagining the stairs…

She thought it was up to the third floor—the ceiling was just too high. And the castle had a third and fourth floor. It was a behemoth.

It was huge, but still, there was no library available for her.

The Original loved reading books. She had a wardrobe of it.

Those were outdated books and most of them were not related to history or the constitution, it was kid's book.

The recent king saw the Original with educational books someone would get heavily punished.

"This is all King Rashio's fault," Yanarym said as she carried the books one by one to the counter.

Now, she wondered how she could take the ten books, all at once back home.

"This is why parents should not stop their kids from dreaming. Eventually, the kid would quit or become what they dream of. If they want to help, they should just support."

Guide-sama: "You are already not hungry, but you are still annoyed?"

"I don't like carrying these heavy books back home! Parents! Hah!"

Guide-sama: "You can blame it all on King Rashio, but you still have to carry those books."

"Agh." She had a huge castle, yet there was no use for the chambers, they were mostly empty.

That was why it felt so haunted.

"That would be nine silver coins." The girl that was counting the books Yanarym brought to the counter said.

"Here. Opf! This is heavy!"

Guide-sama: "You should have just bought three books. It's not like you could scan all that in one night."

"I can." Yanarym was determined to reach her goal books per day. Aside from the law, there was also the culture and the history that she should know. She cannot just leave everything to luck this time.

Thinking about it, she had a very relaxing time when she was in the fifth world. She should have treasured those moments to her core. She regretted that she did not slack so much back there.

Guide-sama: "Have you forgotten that the reason why you are here is that you were lazy in the fifth world?"

"That's not true."

Guide-sama: "Whatever, you say. However, you should take it a little easy about these books, Yanarym. Your body is still weak, your mental state won't be able to take that much knowledge."

"Believe me, I can."

Guide-sama: "Your head will explode if you force yourself like that."

"I'm in a battle with time, Guide-sama."

Guide-sama: "You never listen to me."

"According to my calculations, I have to get ready in three weeks. If you could assist me, installing the contents of these books in my head would help me live."

Guide-sama: "Do you have to push yourself that much? You are even on your way to buy poison."

"Yes. Don't worry, I know what my limitations are." Yanarym smiled. "Remember my motto? I don't work hard. Because if I do, it means it is necessary."

She put down the bag of books she was carrying because it was too heavy, and her limbs were becoming numb. She could not carry these back home. She should buy that enchanted satchel she saw in the shop where she bought the wig she was wearing.

"Excuse me, can I leave these books here for a minute? I just remember that I have to buy something from the market."

She gave the clerk two copper coins.

"Yes, of course, Young Lady."
