For my own peace of mind, I should not have rubbed Aria’s shoulders. The soft feel of her shoulder blades; her smooth creamy skin peeking out of her blouse. I was going crazy without even touching her fully. My mind replayed yesterday without so much as a pause and if I did not have work to distract me from my mind, I would most probably be swinging my feet, thinking about particular grey eyes. I was so gone, pining for someone that I would never have. It was brutal. I stepped into the elevator, punching in the number for our floor, still thinking about yesterday, the hollow look on Aria’s countenance from the time she stepped into the office in the morning nestled itself uncomfortably in my chest. Are you supposed to be having those thoughts about your assistant?
