Teressa got up in the middle of the night all due to the headache she was having that felt like it was a concert going on in her head. She went to the fridge downstairs, grabbed a bottle of water and some painkillers and headed back upstairs. She popped a painkiller into her mouth and drank the water soon after. She dropped the bottle by the bedside and laid back on the bed to sleep.

Finally, it was morning. Teressa woke up to the sound of Tina shouting her name and then she concentrated and heard something like get ready for work. That was when it clicked. Shit. She had to go to work today. How she wished today was a Sunday. She grudgingly stood up from the bed after rolling around on it for a minute. She entered the bathroom, stood in front of the sink which had a mirror just behind it. Her face looked tired and her hair was pointing out from different ends. Ughhh. She hated morning looks. She took off her clothes and walked into the walk-in shower, had her bath, wore a corporate dress and headed downstairs.

The first thing she came across was Tina who was busy dishing the food. Like always. She wondered how Tina always had the energy to be up so early. She was always the one waking her up for work most times. What would she do without her? Her mom was definitely right that she needed someone to help her with some stuffs.

"Good morning." Tina greeted and Teressa replied as she headed to the dining table.

"Morning. You sure are up early. Honestly, it isn't a surprise anymore." Teressa said voicing out what she just thought about moments ago.

"Oh. I have to. It has been an habit since I was a kid. And besides what would you eat if I don't wake up early? You come back from work a little late after all so you would be starving through out an entire day if I didn't." And Teressa was surprised. When she was a kid, her mom literally had to drag her off the bed before she stood up to get ready for school. And it sure took a lot of work. Weekends were her happy days at those times.

"Well. You can sleep in all you want on Sundays because I would be at home and I would be cooking." Teressa said just as she was about to put toast in her mouth. Tina went upstairs to have her bath and Teressa ate one more toast before stepping it down with some juice. She headed outside after booking a taxi.

The drive to the company was a short one. She got down from the taxi after arriving at her destination and paid the driver. She walked to the entrance of the company and that was when something that happened yesterday hit her. Shit. Shit. Shit. She had ignored the call from her boss. She was dead. She was freaking dead. She entered the building praying that her boss was not around. Maybe he would have a sudden business trip or something. Or he would suddenly feel sick. She wasn't wishing for anything bad to happen to her boss. No bad feelings but she really wanted him not to be in the office.

She was so busy in her thoughts that she didn't notice the person who was walking towards her. She bumped into a hard body and her body naturally fell back. She waited for her body to hit the floor but it never happened. She felt a hand grab her wrist and she opened her eyes to see a really handsome guy. His dirty blonde hair complemented his face and accentuated his sharp green eyes that felt as if they were staring into her soul. But he was not as hot as her boss. Wait, Why was she even comparing her boss to a guy she just met.

"Are you okay? I'm sorry for colliding with you. By the way, I am Shawn." The guy apologized in his deep voice and Teressa felt bad because she knew she was the one who bumped into him.

"I'm the one who should be apologizing. I wasn't focusing. I'm sorry. Teressa. My name is Teressa." She said as she ran off realizing that she had an evil boss to head to.

She entered into the elevator heading directly to Michael's office. She knocked and she heard that deep, enthralling 'come in' again. She entered into the office and his crystal blue eyes met hers.

"Good morning, boss." Teressa said as she bowed her head down expecting some sort of punishment and her gut feeling told her it wasn't going to be any good. She could already feel her not being able to move a muscle from tiredness.

"I trust that you had a good night sleep after ignoring my call, right Miss Anderson?" Michael said and as Teressa expected, his voice had a cold edge to it. Not that his voice didn't have a cold edge to it normally but today's own was ice cold.

"I didn't mean to ignore your call even if it looked like I did. Something urgent came up that's why." Teressa said in an hurry trying to explain herself. She didn't want to get fired on her.....she counted in her head....second day at the job. That would be the worst employee record of the year.

"Well, okay then. Just go ahead and take the files in the bottom drawer. All of it." She followed his description and obviously there was something in store for her. She took out the files and she was shocked at the massive amount of files her evil boss expected her to work on. No wonder he said all of it. She had to do all of this? She could already feel the weight on her hands as she lifted it with much effort out of the office barely muttering a 'I will be heading out, boss'.

She sighed as she headed to her office. She could already feel that today was going to be a long day.
