Chapter 005- Finally home

Ivanna watched as the door to the room she was given slid open.

Rogue stepped inside.

"What do you want with me?" She questioned, she had been at his Mansion for a week now. She knew he wasn't planning on killing her soon, not when the entire town was searching for her.

"You should have disappeared when I told you to,"

"I did nothing wrong, why should I disappear? It's because of the girl, isn't it?"

He didn't reply for a moment. "I'll give you another chance to leave. Run. If you still desire to keep that pretty little neck of yours intact, heed my advice." He didn't wait for a response and strode out.

She contemplates his terms for minutes. Later, she heard a noise downstairs. Fast contemplation made her hop off her bed and run towards the door. She placed her hand on the handle, and surprisingly, it unlocked.

It was nighttime, but it wasn't that dark yet. She clambered down the stairs and steered towards the noise.

It was coming from a room. The room's door was narrowly unlocked, so she peeped into it and caught a glimpse of a man yelling at Rogue. In a respectful manner though.

"Just let her go, she won't rant you out." The man let out. She recognized the man, he was the same man with Merton that night Silas was killed.

"That's simply impossible, Marius."

"The cops have inspected every nook and cranny of this town, and this Mansion is next on the list."

"And I care? I've given her an option. I don't trust the word 'female'."

"Rogue," Marius called. "Calm down." His voice was soft, so soft that Ivanna thought he was talking to a child. "Trust me on this. Let her go."

Rogue became conflicted. But still, he nodded at Marius.

Ivanna took this as a cue and sprinted back upstairs. She carefully closed her door and ran to her bed.

Moments later, her door stride opened. Marius stepped inside. He wasn't as old as she had guessed. "Miss Pierlot," He called and stepped closer to her. His voice was deep. "You'll be set free." He said and leaned to her level. "Be a good girl and don't open your mouth to say a word to anyone. Rogue wouldn't be the one to end you that time, I will. Tell your fams you found yourself along a highway, and that you couldn't recall anything."

"W-will they believe me?"

"I don't give a fuck if they don't."

Jeez, what's with these people and cussing?

"O-ok." Ivanna nodded her head, she couldn't wait to be set free. These past days, she did everything not to get on Rogue's bad side. Although she's in already, she tries to avoid any bad outcome.

"Freshen up. Your previous clothes are in the bathroom, put them on and come down in fifteen minutes." With this, he left.

Ivanna didn't waste time and hurried toward the bathroom. She bathed and got dressed in less than ten minutes. New record for her.

She went downstairs and met Rogue behind a table. She quickly bowed to him awkwardly and ran outside. Marius was waiting for her inside a car.

He made a gesture for her to enter the car.

He drove at high speed past the open gate.

This Mansion was distant from town since only bushes surrounded it. The ride was silent.

After what seemed like hours, the car finally parked along a silent highway. Marius opened his call and dialed a number. "Are you done, Merton?" He asked.

"All done," Merton said from the other side.

"Good," Marius replied and disconnected the call. He tilted his head towards her. "Get down."

Ivanna was startled. "H-here?"

"Get the fuck out."

Ivanna didn't waste time and jumped out of the car.

Marius jotted the car back to life, he glanced at Ivanna and said to her. "Remember what I told you." And he drove away. Spreading gasses all over Ivanna's body.

She watched as the car disappeared from her sight. It was nocturnal and yet, they left a girl on the highway.

Cruel.

She had no phone with her, and her purse was scorched, according to Rogue. She wandered up and down, and couldn't find her way. The only place she knew was her home address.

Finally, she stopped a cab and gave her home address.

Pierlot's Mansion came into view minutes later, and her heart pace accelerated. She didn't want to lie, her brother could tell when she was lying. What will she do when she's caught?

The cab stopped at the gate, and coincidentally, her brother's car was also entering the gate. She climbed down the cab.

"Nick…" Her soft tone held fragility, she saw the surprise on his face as he heard her voice. He ran towards her and hugged her. God, she missed her brother.

"Ivanna…are- are you alright? God! I was so worried!"

She completely forgot about the cab man. But when the man signaled, Nicholas paid for it.

She was exhausted.

It was hard trying to convince Nicholas that she had no recollection of what happened. And it was harder to convince her father.

As she slipped into her room, the soft glow of the light on the nightstand shone through the room.

Her mind wandered to the event that happened days ago, she didn't want it to repeat itself.

Now, she would stay away from anything and anyone connected to Rogue Quinn.

After bathing, she put on her PJs and headed for the bed. It was almost midnight. She heard a noise from outside her window. She strides towards it and glances around.

Her eyes caught a glimpse of a man standing beside a car in a dark corner. She wouldn't have seen it without the help of a car walking in that direction.

The man was someone she wouldn't forget.

Rogue Quinn.

It didn't take her time to realize he was making sure she didn't go back on her words. And she wasn't planning to. Being killed was the last thing in her thoughts.

She climbed up her bed and slept off minutes later.

She had no idea her life wouldn't be the same as from tomorrow.
