Chapter 4

Wolf woke up and did his routine since today he will be fighting a rear and vice admiral. He is pumped up but he still had to keep up his stoic face and not show emotions. This way he won't get too attached to his new job. His goal was to reach admiral rank does not matter if he was considered the weakest, he still had chances to grow unlike whitebeard. Wolf was interrupted from his thought as a marine knocked on is door. Wolf got off the bed and opened up door to see Smoker.

Smoker:" Fleet Admiral is calling you to come to the arena where you will be judged."

Wolf says nothing and follows Smoker to one of the arena entrance. Wolf sits down as Smoker leaves to sit in the audience.

Sengoku PoV:

Today is the day I see what that kid is made up of. The Marines are all pumped to see what happens to that kids.

Sengoku:" Alright, on one side we have Rear-Admiral Trane and on the other side we have is Wolf."

Back to Third Person PoV:

Wolf can hear Sengoku calling him and someone Trane up.

Wolf:" Lets get this over with, after all I will dominate against them.

Trane and Wolf stare at each other but the pattern and silence is broken when Trane charges at Wolf with his arm pulled back covered with Arnament Haki but Wolf already anticipated it and counters with a sword covered in Arnament. The sword pushes back Trane as he tries to block but Wolf keeps on the offensive with muttering his sword technique

Wolf:" Hiryu: Kaen."( yeah, I have absolutely no idea where to find sword technique, if you know please comment down).

Wolf slashes downward as Trane bursts into crimson fire. The audience gasp in horror as their strongest rear-admiral is burned alive but surprises when he still standing there. Though Trane did not come unscathed, he was bleeding and had 3rd degree burns all over his body. He barely stand as he rushed towards Wolf in a last attempt to injure him no matter how strong. Wolf uses observation haki and mutters a technique so Trane does not hurt himself too badly.

Wolf:" Tree Bind Flourishing."

Wood comes ground at fast speed and captures Trane who was barely able to put any damage on the wood. The wood interlocks with each other making it harder than steel. Trane tries to punch his way but after an entire minute, the banging sound stops as Trane drops in exhaustion. Medics from the marine emergency come out on the arena and pick up Trane to put him on the stretcher. Wolf stares at Trane with respect as the medic take him out the arena. Wolf looks at Garp and Sengoku as former is crushing the railing and frowning while the latter is looking at him with a bit of respect. Wolf points at Sengoku and gives the universal sign to send the Vice-admiral in. Sengoku frowns for a min but complies with request.

A man with a scar filled face drops down into the arena. He looks at Wolf with caution. He introduces himself in a respectful tone.

Doberman:" My name is Doberman, what is your name young marine."

Wolf is a bit surprised at his respectful tone and him calling him a marine.

Wolf:" My name is Wolf but I am not a marine. I fighting against you and that man to determine my rank in the marine."

Doberman is stunned, he though that kid might have been trained by the higher-up either due to his talent or devil fruit after logia type fruits are very rare. If he is not a marine and this is his first time joining the marines at this strength, this kid might be stronger than the admiral when he grows up more. This kid is going to be a monster when he grows up but is happy since he is joining the marines.

Doberman:" Very well, I shall fight with my power and hope you do the same."

Doberman uses covers his katana in Arnament and goes to attack him. Wolf already saw through his attack but widens his eyes. Doberman uses Soru and flashes back to Wolf's unprotected back and gives him a long shallow cut. Wolf was barely able to minimize the damage and his back is bleeding. Wolf looks at Doberman as he is rushing towards him with another Arnament slash with his katana.

Wolf:" Wood Locking Wall."

Wood erupts around Wolf and covers him in a shell of wood for a defense. Doberman looks at him in astonishment that he was still able to move with his back bleeding. Doberman respect his will to win and tears through the wood with difficulty. Doberman sees Wolf standing in the middle with arm turning into wood to try to capture him. Doberman already knew this and smashes his arnament covered fist into his jaw. Wolf gets smashed into the walls and he is blocked with smoke and rubble. Everyone in the arena cranes their neck to see who won but get surprised to see a wooden clone of Wolf breaking down. Wolf comes out from the ground and mutters " Underground Roots Technique."

Wolf manipulates the terrain, bringing out underground roots of varying sizes to attack Doberman. Doberman cuts down multiple of the roots as they try to stab him but does not look down at his legs. Underneath him is a bunch of small roots which slowly grab onto his legs and stop him from moving. Doberman looks down and panics seeing a bunch of roots at his ankles and tries to cut him but they keep growing in numbers and in size. They slowly covers the entire body except his face with roots immobilizing him. Doberman tries to reach his katana but fails to even move his hand.

Wolf says in a cold and emotionless voice:" Give up Doberman otherwise you this place shall be your graveyard."

He even slowly moves the wood making it constrict even tighter. It starts to be unconformable then Wolf starts to increase the intensity. It starts to crush the bones of Doberman making him cry out pain. Sengoku seeing this, interferes and declares Wolf the winner. Wolf pulls the wood back making it uncurl making Doberman's body drop like a puppet without it's string. Wolf turns to leave but remembers the respect in his voice and doing his best to fight him. Wolf sighs and walks toward Doberman.

Wolf:" You were the second best enemy I fought and made me give it my all. You are strong and hope you get stronger next time we face.

Wolf says this with a small smile making a proud feeling bloom in Doberman in his heart.

Doberman:" Thank you, you were strong and I hope to fight you later."

Doberman tries to move his body but his body does not respond at all. He just sighs in disbelief as he got by a 15 year old kid who did not even join the marine. This kid is nothing but a monster in a human skin. He is so strong( you must understand he is 3rd strongest after Onigumo and Momonga if you don't count the Garp and Tsuru. Those are the old generation monsters).

The audience cheers at the sportsmanship between them. They though Wolf was nothing but a cold person but it seems he is just distant. For the 2 girls, that smile made them feel like they had butterflies in their stomach. They had one thought in their mind as they look at that smile.

"Cute".

Sengoku smiles at that interaction and then starts to laugh as the veins on the Garp's head grow visible. He maliciously thinks" This is revenge for annoying me with your antics." Sengoku gets interrupted from his train of thoughts as he relay's the news.

Sengoku:" The winner of the match is Wolf, give it up for our new addition to marine. Wolf come to Fleet Admiral office tomorrow to receive your rank and reward."( you guys can decide which 1 of the 6 rokushiki our main protagonist get. Sengoku leaves with Garp to his office so he can get everything ready. The 2 of the 3 admirals are impressed him and leave with satisficed smiles. Wolf goes to back to room so he can rest after fighting them both took a lot of his stamina.
