The Election

Her main opponent is Mr. Gino Guevara a famous businessman and a philanthropist. The campaign started with a debate and Mr. Guevara excavated the past accusations against Marie about corruption but despite of those accusations she still managed to get through it. The accusations against her affected her campaign team so much, there were rallies, burning pictures of Maria.

"Maria Dela Cruz is a threat in our democracy, she is trying to follow her husband's track. She can't do it because she is a woman" Mr. Guevara said during the debate.

"Mr. Guevara you consider me as a threat because you knew from the very beginning that I'm a strong woman. I'm helping to have a better government, I have studied a lot about government and received tons of awards including my doctorate and masteral degree" Maria told to the audience that she is better than Mr. Guevara. Maria is on her way to the second debate when a group of gunman attacked her car but no one was hurt so they were able to go to the said event.

"On my way a group of armed gunmen started shooting my car, my life was at risk but in my mind I knew that this is just a threat to stop from running for presidency, I want to serve my people so the fight must go on" Maria said

The voting polls are now open, so the two candidates voted for about 20 minutes and so the people started voting, at night the election staff started tallying the votes and a shocking results were showed in the national television. Maria Dela Cruz got 30,000,000 votes while Mr. Guevara got 28,000,000 votes. It is indeed a shocking results because the Philippines is about to have the First Filipina President. Maria and her team were covered in tears, celebrating throughout the night.
