Late Nite Bite.

Location: Waverly Sub Station.

"This is the slowest dinner rush we ever had!" Jerry complained. The russo family was idly sitting, waiting for customers. Everyone except Alex. The main door was pushed open revealing Alex. She entered with a sandwich in her hands.

"Ahh This sandwich is amazing!" Alex said. "It has pesto mayonnaise, smoked turkey and some fancy cheese."

"Where did you get that?"Jerry crossed his arms.

"Oh, From New place down the street. Its super close we can go there all the time. The only problem is that it is super packed." Alex looked around. "Not like this place." She scoffed.

"A sandwich shop, on same street? Jerry we have got a competition!" Theresa exclaimed.

"There's no competition." Jerry shook his head. He walked to alex. "Let me taste it." He said. Alex handed her father the sandwich and took a seat. Everyone kept looking at jerry as he took a bite from the sandwich. His face turned light as he let out of soft moan of appreciation for that delicious sandwich. "Damn, It is good." He sighed in defeat.

"Let me try." Theresa took the sandwich from her husband's hand to taste it. "Someone needs to go check out that place." Theresa said. Everyone gave each other a confused look. "I'll do it." Theresa took another bite before getting up and heading to the other sandwich shop.

"No, no no no! I'll go. I need a new sandwich now, anyway." Alex stopped her mother.

"You are not going either." Jerry stood infront of alex. "We only send you on missions of destruction." He wallked back to where his elder son was sitting. "For research and surveillance, Justin's our guy." He patted on justin's shoulder. Justin smiled proudly and teasingly which made alex roll her eyes.

"I got just a decoy, I'll speak with an australlian accent." Justin got up from his place. "G'day mate I'd love to try one of your shrimp on the barbie sand-y-wiches. Mate!" He said it with an Australian accent.

"Thats not australlian accent. I'll show you." Max complained. "Hi! I'd like to try your shrimp on the barbie sandwich. Mate!"

"Thats not an accent. Thats your lame jim carey impression." Justin rolled his eyes.

"Yeah but you knew who it was. It will be my one man show when the school starts. Oh I'm gonna work on my impression all summer long." Max smiled loftily which made his sister get up to him.

"All summer long huh? Oh I got one. ALL SUMMER-NO MAX-MAKES ALEX A HAPPY GIRL! " Alex used a fake impression. "ALEX RUSSO!" She whispered to max which made him all confused and afraid of his sisters playfully evil nature.

Justin enters the shop with his phone camera on. He was recording every detail so that it would be easier for him to explain his father about what their rival sandwich shop has set up to get more attention than waverly substation.

"Oh god!" He startled in surprise when he saw his sister who was not supposed to be here. "Alex, what are you doing here?"

"I told you, I need a new sandwich so just do your work and let me do mine." Alex said.

"Your work?"

"Yeah, my work is to get a new sandw-just-just continue with your spying." Alex clenched her fists out of frustration as his brother kept asking silly questions. She stomped her way to the counter, leaving her brother to do his business.

"Can I get a turkey sandwich and a cola?" Alex requested.

"Sure. That will be 7 bucks." The waiter said.

"Here you go." Alex paid for her sandwich but she kept looking into the waiter's eye while handing him the money. She had a confused yet surprised look on her face.

"Are you okay?" The waiter asked.

"Yes. Its just your eyes-you have a slit eye?" Alex asked.

"Uhm-Yeah. I-I get that a lot. They look like they are slitted-but they are not." The waiter chuckled nervously. "I-I will go get your order." He said as he walked back into the kitchen to give the order. Alex was mazed about what just happened and how weird the boy acted when he was asked about his eyes.

She turned around to look for her brother. He was talking with a girl. Alex quickly went to him.

"This is just a napkin?" Justin said, confused.

"Maybe that cute girl has written her number on it." The girl said to justin. "Oh Hi opera!" The girl waved when she saw Alex standing behind justin. Justin spinned to look at Alex.

"Hi juliet!" Alex giggled.

"She is not opera." Justin scoffed and before juliet could say anything the waiter came with Alex's order.

"Here's your sandwich and coke. Thank you." The waiter said as he handed Alex, her order.

"Thanks. And Hey justin you gotta meet this guy. He has got spl-" Alex trailed off in surprise when she saw that the waiter's eyes were now normal. Well, atleast it looked different than before.

"How did he do that?" Alex wondered.

"He has got what?" Justin asked. The waiter was clearly nervous. He quickly left alex, justin and juliet alone and went back to the kitchen.

"Who was he?" Alex asked Juliet.

"Oh, he works here. He is new in town and he desperately wanted some work so, dad gave him a job here." Juliet explained. "What happened, did he do something?"

"Nope. But always remember, these people who say they are new in town, are always suspicious." Alex said. "Alright I am leaving." Alex rushed outside when she saw Juliet's mother and father staring at her and justin.

"Juliet! What are you doing?" Juliet's parents clonked their way to her daughter.

"Dealing with the customer." Juliet said with a shrug.

"Thats not a customer, He is our competition. He came here to spy on us." Juliet's father exclaimed.

"No dad, he was not spying, he was just looking around and record-oh I think you are in trouble here, justin!" Juliet crossed her arms when she realised her father was right.

"Hey Y/N, Welcome back."

"Good evening, brenna." The boy let out a tired sigh. His sister gave him a glass of water.

"You look so tired. Thats new." Brenna chuckled.

"These Van huesens are taking a lot of work from me." The boy said.

"Thats what working for someone means." Brenna chuckled.

"That doesnt mean I have to do all the work. They made me their tool. They just sit idle and make me do everything." He complained.

"I'm sorry, Y/N. I told you they are vampires, its their nature to make you feel like they are superior to all of the species." Brenna said.

"So, wait, do you mean they know who we are."

"No. But they are suspicious, for sure. They have strong sense of smell, as I said." Brenna explained.

"Well, if I run out of patience, then they shall be the last vampires to ever oppose me."

"Y/N, please. I told you we cant do that here. We have strict orders and restrictions, brother." Brenna sighed. "And it was you, who insisted me in taking this job. You said you wanna do something for us."

"Thats because I cant see you getting all worn out by working alone." Y/N held his sisters hands

"I know, brother. You are the best little brother the world could ever wish for." Brenna smiled.

"I promise, I'll try my best not to fail you." The boy smiled back.

"Alright, now get some sleep. You are going to school tomorrow."

"What! No I am not!" He exclaimed.

"Why not? Everyone of your age goes to school." Brenna shrugged.

"Oh come on, you know we are not them and we really dont need to go to school."

"Shush! We are on earth which means we have to act like a human. Well, we are half human. And dont worry, I'm going to school with you. But I'll be your senior." Brenna said.

"Fine." He sighed.

"Good. Now go to bed." Brenna said. They both got up from the couch and went to their respective bedrooms. The boy was worried about how will his first day of school go and his sister was worried about the same thing.

"Open 24 hours-fangs-castle and dungeon theme, did you get it? They are Vampires!" Jerry exclaimed. The russo family was gathered for a family meeting to discuss justins observations from their rival shop. Justin was standing against a white board to write all the conclusions from their meeting.

"Van heusens are Vampires? Thats why they had fangs, I thought it was just a theme." Justin shook his head.

"We got vampire war on ahead of us. Hasta la vista , baby!" Max faked another impression. He quickly ran outside the shop and before leaving, he yelled "That was the terminator."

"Alright, lets Pack and leave" alex said while getting up.

"No no. No one is going anywhere." Jerry made alex sit back. "They've got castle dungeon theme? We have the subway theme, we should make people feel like they are in real subway." Jerry said.

"I will write that on board to make it official." Justin said.

"This could be the worst family meeting ever." Alex sighed in defeat.

"No its all coming together. Late night bite you dont know what bear you just poked." Jerry huffed. Everyone looked at each other in confusion. "Its me, I am the bear." Jerry rolled his eyes when no one understood. Jerry and theresa headed to their room leaving alex and justin alone.

"Alex, I need some help." Justin said. Alex did not responded as she was lost in her own thoughts. She was probably thinking about that waiter and how he changed his eyes.

"Alex?" Justin shook his sister, pulling her out of her thoughts.

"What?"

"I need help. I have a date with Juliet and I need your help in sneaking around mom and dad." Justin said.

"You came to the right place. You dont wanna be caught between date and competition?" Alex asked.

"What do I do?"

"Use magic."

"That's it?"

"Would you thought of it?"

"No."

"Okay then, alright, there's nothing else." Alex got up from her place and patted his brother's shoulder before going back to her room.
