8. A Chat With A Angel

Julius sat down next to Angelica looking at her with a stern gaze before letting out a small sigh. "I am sorry that you have been forced into the situation Angelica. I really am, even more so that I happen to be one of the causes for it." he spoke softly in an apologetic tone. He honestly did feel bad for the situation she was thrown into because of her mother, and he still felt solely responsible for it.

"There is no reason you should feel sorry about it Master Julius..it isn't your fault. You didn't know that this was going happen. And neither did I, so don't torture yourself because of it.." Angelica spoke with a level of maturity that he found impressive. Especially after how her mother had portrayed her.

"Please. Drop the formalities. You can just call me Julius. To be honest all the formality has me a bit on edge anyway." Julius chuckled a bit as he slowly pulled a hanker chief out of his pocket and slowly raised to dab the tears off of her cheeks. Flinching at first Angelica gave him a worried gaze as she slowly moved away from him.

"Forgive me for Overstepping" Julius quickly spoke as he pulled his hand away from her. Leaving them in another awkward silence as Angelica took a deep breath wiping the tears from her cheek with her hands.

"you're fine Julius." She began slowly as she put her thoughts together. "If you don't mind me asking. Why did you come out here to look for me? Was it because my mother asked you too?"

"I came here of my own accord. Because I wanted to talk to you alone about this entire situation" Julius spoke plainly as he looked up to the sky.

Angelica frowned at the way he said it as she looked at him. "If you don't really want to talk to me about it, then you can just go back home" Angelica said as anger began to seep into her voice slowly due to nocholant nature of the man next to her.

"If I didn't want to be here I wouldn't have walked through the entire maze that was set up here to confuse the wolves you all must have. I got myself lost a handful of times before making it to the end." Julius spoke as a hint of sincerity was made obvious in his voice. "Have you ever looked up to the sky and just wondered. Who does each star we see in the night sky belongs to?"

The question took Angelica by suprise. He was being strangely philosophical with her, and somehow she found it somewhat charming. Shaking her head at that thought she bit her lip gently and looked back to him. "I never looked at it that way. But I wonder now. Why do you ask?" She asked him as her mind now began to race at the thought of his question.

"Well it is said that vampires get two stars. One for when our humanity dies, and the second for when our immortal lives are taken from us." Julius explained as he glanced from the sky to her. "When I lost my humanity hundreds of years ago I gained a star. Which brings me to my next question. When did you get turned?"

"What do you mean by when did I get turned?" Angelica asked tilting her head to the side as her mind began to run faster.

"I mean when did you get bit by your father host before becoming a vampire." Julius explained as he pointed to the sky. "Because that may mean you may have a star up within the night sky."

"Well the thing is..Julius.." She began before stopping herself from divulging anything further to him. As questions entered her own mind. Was it safe to tell him what she really was? What would her mother do if she found out? And would he use the information against the family as leverage? Then it dawned on her that the last thought in her mind wasn't a plausable one.

"What is it?" He asked tilting his head to her sudden pause as if listening to the unmoving aether. "If it is something personal you don't have to tell me anything."

"If I tell you, you have to promise not to tell anyone else..if you were to get hurt or worse..killed because of what I am to tell you. I couldn't live with the thought of being responsible for your death." Angelica spoke after some time.

Julius thought to himself for a moment weighing his options. His life. On what could possibly lead to them obtaining their ideal safety. Or as much as they could obtain without the involvement of the council.

"Who would I have to tell? My guidance troupe who doesn't even pay attention to a word I say anyways. So, what the hell. What is it you have to say? I promise I won't tell a single soul." He said placing a hand on her thigh gently as he stared at her.

"Well..I wasn't turned like you and most other vampires..I was a natural born vampire." She said dropping it like an unsure time bomb as she looked into his eyes, seeing his out right shocked expression on his face. She definitely wasn't going to be having the best night at this rate.

"You are a natural born vampire...You know how rare you are? And just how much potential you alone hold within you?" Julius started as he sat straight within her presence. He had became evidently unsure of what to do at this point. And it wasn't every century one met a natural born vampire. Definitely not one as beautiful and as easy going as her.

"So...Are you going to keep your word?" Angelica asked him unsure if he really would or not. Staring into his deep hazel eyes that held centuries of knowledge within them. And Centuries of pain.

"You have my word, along with my life. I promise Angelica" He said slowly as he gently and slowly placed his hand on her thigh. "Just promise me that you won't think I am doing this because I was offered it. At this point..it is because I want to." He continued slowly as he stared into her eyes with. For the first time she has noticed since she had seen the man. Life
