1 Chapter one

Everette stood in the rain by the gates of his residence. obvious of the pouring rain, he had no particular place to go but all he knew was that he did not want to go back home, where he stayed can not even be considered as home. This environment reminded him of all the horrible things he has been passing through in life, things that just refused to go away and now he wanted to get away from those things.

He didn't even bother about the fact that he's not under any shelter and he didn't try to look for one, he just stood under the rain, he loved it, at least he isn't crying alone.

yes, he's running away, far away from his own family. it's weird isn't it, how could he be running away from his own family but he wasn't just running away from his family, he's running away from his tortures, his pain.

He had more on his mind and the pain he bore numbed the stinging effect of the heavy rain on his soft skin. He figured out that it is better to remain there under the rain than to return to where he is coming from. He had unwittingly became comfortable with the chain of slavery in the Channing family, they never failed to remind him of his place which is on the ground next to trash. Here he is now contemplating freedom.

yes, real freedom

The rain wasn't gonna stop, he began hoping a taxi would come along though it's late and there's no way any single car will be passing by at this time. And even though a taxi did come, where is he gonna go, he had no one and no where to go to, he also had no money.

Everette smiled dryly. A teardrop trickled down his cheek, he wiped it as a long sigh escaped his lips. He was now shivering.

" someone like you doesn't belong to this world ". A male voice rang in his head.

" death is so much better than living like this ". He mused.

He sees the crossing in front of him and without a second thought, he stepped unto the road. He didn't really think of any upcoming cars, knowing fully well they won't any.

He suddenly came to a stop in the middle of the road, his head bowed and he just stared at the ground.

As memories of the past folded his mind, Everette began talking to himself.

" I have no one to run to, no where to run to, I've done all a human would do to be happy. The more I try, the more my pain increase. no one understands me ".

He never wished to be born an omega among alphas and now he has to suffer for it, he has to suffer just because he was created.

The headlights of a car flashes brightly as it came speedily for the Omega but Everette did not move, he did not even raise his head. He heard the car honking and coming right at him but he didn't care.

Everette balled his hands into a fist and closed his eyes. He didn't even scream when the car collided with his body.

The black BMW came to a stop.

Inside the car, Kayden tried his best to keep calm. He immediately got down from the car, not minding the pouring rain, he rushed to Everette laying lifeless on the floor, in his own pool of blood.

" shit ". He cursed then crouched down and placed his hand under his head and brought him up closer to himself. He felt the Omega's pulse and sighed in relief knowing he is still alive but with the way he looked, he wasn't going to make it if he isn't taken to a hospital.

Kayden brushed his hand through his wet hair then took out his phone from his pocket dialing his best friend who's also his PA's number.

" pick up, pick up ". He said into the phone hearing it ring.

" Kay, where are you? ". Kayden heard the voice of his best friend and PA Bryson.

Kayden sighed in relief.

" you need to come and get me ".

" what do you mean? what happened? ". Bryson asked getting the hint that something isn't right.

" I got into an accident and he's not gonna make it, I hit somebody with my car and I need help, you need to come and get me, he's loosing a lot of blood Bryson, he needs help ". Kayden said still holding Everette.

" calm down kay, okay I'll come and get you, just give me the address of where you are ".

" erm-". Kayden started looking around, trying to find something that would give him a clue where he is but he couldn't, everything just looked blurry and unfamiliar. " I don't know where I am Bryson ".

Bryson sighed. " okay calm down, I'll track your location but in the mean time, try to stay calm, I'll be there as fast as I can ".

Kayden cut the call then put the phone back into his pocket.

" I'm gonna die, aren't I? ".

Kayden heard and he immediately looked down at the boy. His Hazel blue eyes glistening with tears.

" hold on, your gonna be okay, your not gonna die, I promise ".

" but I can't hold on anymore, I really can't ". Everette cried. " it's so cold and everything is so black ".

Kayden bit his lips, he pulled Everette to his chest. Everette was so close to him that he could scent his pheromones and it comforted him. He clenched on Kayden's suit and nuzzled on his chest as he felt his eyelids becoming heavier, life was slowly slipping away.

" the pain is gonna end soon, everything is gonna end soon ". Everette whispered to himself as he slowly fell into that deep abyss of darkness and silence
