46 Secure the City

David's POV:

We were standing in the middle of the city.

People ran around frantically to get to safety while soldiers attempted to keep order.

There was already a blue force field above us, so T'Challa was preparing for war.

I thought T'Challa would invite me to the battle, but he never asked.

It seems that he doesn't want uninvolved people there with him.

After the streets were cleared, we could see a stream of flying vehicles heading to the border.

"It seems that Tony Stark is here."

When Wanda and Pietro heard this they became tense all of sudden.

It was quiet at first, but then I could sense something familiar in the distance.

The Mind Stone...

The strange thing was that it didn't come from the border, but from the direction of the mines and Shuri's lab.

"Pietro, you will stay here while we deal with something and don't engage in battle!" I say, then grab Wanda like a princess and jump to the lab.

"Whaaaaaa!!! What are you doing?!" she screams as we fly through the air.

This made me laugh a bit, but we didn't have time to fool around.

"I can sense an enemy moving to Shuri's lab. The only problem is, she is there too."

This made Wanda quiet and she grabbed onto my neck.

Upon reaching the mountain, we saw a figure phase through it.

"Damn, he is already here! We need to hurry up."

I concentrate more chakra into my feet and we dash to the entrance.

As we arrived in the lab, we could see Shuri and her father standing at a screen, probably watching the exchange between Tony and the others.

While behind them, there was a miniature model of Wakanda where you could see the city and the borders with a blue shield around it.

Probably this is why Vision came here.

When I looked up, I could see Vision coming through the wall and then he charged up the Mind Stone to fire at the model.

What the hell is he doing? The laser could kill the two people behind it as well.

But he doesn't seem to care and shoots his laser anyway.

"Shuri, King T'Chaka get down! Wanda, protect them!"

When she heard me, Shuri turned shockingly around. However, T'Chaka felt the danger, grabbed Shuri and they both fell to the ground.

T'Chaka tried to protect his daughter with his body.

I activated my Sharingan and everything started to slow down and I could see the laser hitting the model and a small explosion occurred.

Wanda activates a red force field around Shuri and her father to prevent the fire from reaching them.

While I jump up to Vision, grab his head and slam him down to the ground holding him in place.

"What the hell are you doing? You would have killed these people!"

But he only says expressionlessly, "These people are classified as enemies by my maker. Why would a terrorist like you even care?"

What the fuck? He's not the same Vision as in the movies.

This one seems almost soulless.

Suddenly, I couldn't hold him anymore and he phased through me and flew up.

"My maker would be very grateful if I took you out here. So do me a favor and don't try to fight back."

He charged his laser again.

Seeing this, I created a chakra shield around Wanda and the others, to keep them safe.

Beating him with the Mangekyou would be easy, but I didn't want to stress my eyes that soon again.

I started to concentrate my Katon chakra in my mouth.

My goal was to hit him at the same time he would fire his laser, to prevent him from making himself untouchable again.

But before he even has a chance to fire his beam, Wanda flies up and says to Vision, "I will not allow you to hurt my people!"

Then her magic surrounds him and binds him in place.

"Wanda, send him out of here!"

She nods and then makes a Kamehameha motion and he crushes through the mountain, leaving only a hole behind.

I also fired some fireballs at him, for good measure.

When they hit him, it created some explosions above the Golden City.

"Let's follow him!" I say to Wanda and she nods and then we jump through the hole above us.

Arriving in the air above the city, Wanda uses her powers to keep me floating.

The unhurt Vision, appears before us.

"Wanda Maximoff, your powers are really... special.

I don't know why, but I feel a connection between us.

So why don't you join me and my maker? It could be beneficial for you and your brother."

"I would never betray my boyfriend and in particular not for someone like Tony Stark or you!" shouted Wanda, while looking very angry at the flying creep.

It made me smile when I heard her calling me her boyfriend.

Despite the fact that we have never discussed our relationship, she seems to have already made up her mind about us.

But let's make it clear once and for all.

I grabbed her and kissed her on the lips.

At first, she was a little surprised, but then she returned the kiss while closing her eyes.

While we were at it, she made some movements with her hand and restrained Vision again, so he wouldn't disturb us.

I let go of her and said, while smiling, "We never really talked about it, but this should make our relationship clear, no?"

She smiles back at me and nods.

Then I sensed something.

Looking behind the restrained Vision, I saw a small army of the Iron Legion approaching us.

It seems that Tony already knows what is going on here.

Then Vision somehow breaks free from his restraints and flies towards us.

To stop him, I created a chakra dagger and threw it at him.

But before it can hit him, he phases through it and becomes normal again afterwards.

Too bad for him that I was already above him and hit him with my fist in the face, sending him crashing to the ground below.

Yet when I looked down, I saw that he had already stood up.

What the hell is he made of?

"Wanda, you are the better opponent for this guy, but if you can don't destroy him. I have the feeling that Stark had brainwashed him somehow."

"Alright, I'll do my best!" she replies, while looking serious at me.

I nod at her and then she uses her magic to catapult me to the robots, while she waits for Vision to come up to her.

Upon reaching the roof of a large house, I discovered that the Iron Legion did not come because of us alone.

They were also closely following a car that was flying low above the ground.

On it was a wounded but alive Bucky Barnes.

I could see that Pietro jumped into the car when they passed him.

It seems they are heading to the lab to help Barnes. Pietro is probably eager to see what has happened there too.

So my mission was to make sure they got there safely.

I fired a lot of fireballs at the Iron Legion when I saw the robots starting to power up their repulsors and aiming at the car.

That thinned them out a bit.

Next I activate my Ration Armor and jump toward them.

I create a Chidori in my hand and crash into the robots with my arm outstretched, piercing their bodies in the process.

Since they weren't made like Vision, who seemed to be made of Vibranium or something like it, it was easy for me to destroy them.

After the other robots noticed me, they stopped following Barnes and tried to attack me too.

In order not to destroy the city, I used robots to remain in the air. And since there were hundreds of them, it was easy to do so.

Then I created a bunch of bunshins to distract them while I searched for a picture on my smartphone.

When the robots finally destroyed my bunshins, they could see me standing on a rooftop.

But as soon as they came closer to me, they suddenly stopped.

In front of them was now their creator Tony Stark.

Seeing that my transformation worked on them, I screamed at them,

"Robots, activate the self-destruct protocol!"

And then... nothing happens.

Damn, that could have been so easy.

After a brief period of confusion, the robots seemed to adjust and tried to attack again.

Well, then let's do it the old-fashioned way.

I create a sword out of my chakra, activate my raiton armor and dash forward to the army of robots.

Within ten minutes, the streets were littered with robot parts.

Then I land on a roof and sit on it to catch some air and recover my chakra.

Spreading out my senses, I could feel Wanda was also finished with Vision.

When I stood up to go to her, I felt an overwhelming energy in the direction of the border.

Turning toward it, I could see bright green energy shooting into the sky.

"ROOOAAAAARRRR!!!!!"

I started to smile as I heard the roar. It seems that the war is over.
